I'd put this ice cream up in a taste test against any of the fancy (and often more expensive) brands available in your supermarket. It's that good. When we go to someone's house and they offer up a brand like Häagen-Daz, Tillamok, Breyer's, or Jeni's, it's always a disappointment. They're just not as good. The rest of the store is a useful mix of daily necessities like bread and the aforementioned milk, and junk food like chips and cookies. Lastly, why is called the Trenton Farmer's Market when the location is in Lawrence Township? I realize Trenton is literally across the street, but it bugs me.

There's indoor and outdoor seating, but depending on the time of day that you go, they are very busy. I went with old faithful chocolate and paired it with something I've never had, banana split. While I liked the chocolate, I really liked the split. It did remind me of getting sundaes and such as a child. The flavors were clean in both, and not overly sweetened. A better than average creaminess, but not in the upper tier. I'd get either again, or maybe one of the rotating flavors. The ice cream is not made in house, I was informed that it is sourced from local makers. I have a few suspicions as to who they might be, but of course more research will be required;). I really enjoyed talking with the owner and his two sons. To say this is a family business and or a labor of love is just barely hitting the mark. I'm tempted to tell the whole story here but I think it's better for the curious to just visit themselves. Honestly, there's no better combo than cake and ice cream. It was definitely hard choosing what flavors we wanted since there's such a large selection to choose from but we decided to go with Vanilla PB swirl, Midnight Jersey Shore, plain vanilla anddddd PUMPKIN! Ricky did an amazing job coordinating the drop off with our venue/event planner so that we did not have to worry about having the order delivered. It's also very common to see people walking along the counter to pick their flavors. If you haven't made a decision, and the people behind you in line know what they want, do the right thing and let them go first. They give healthy scoops, and one scoop, although it doesn't sound like much, might be enough for someone with less post-dinner space available in their belly. If it's your first time visiting, watch the scoops being given to the person in front of you before making your decision. As an added bonus, during Spring and Summer Saturday nights, they have live music in the room as well. It's a cheap, fun date.

The hot fudge is delicious, but hard to enjoy when they give so little and the ice cream starts out melty. I hope the management will start listening to customer feedback and fix the stocking issues. The staff says that they request more stock of popular flavors, but don't get them. Lastly, the bathroom is nasty.
