Ice cream truck-style soft serve in a small storefront. The store is wedged between the used car dealer and the auto repair shop on Princeton Ave but there is plenty of space to park. Window service only and no seating. Very reasonable prices, comparable to any ice cream truck. The owner was super friendly and gracious. It's great to see an ice cream shop that isn't a chain open in the area!

People have been RAVING about this place on local Facebook groups since it opened. Thought I'd give it a try. WOW. This place rocks. The ice cream is delicious - the soft serve is on the creamier side, reminiscent of when you get it off the neighborhood ice cream truck. A bunch of unique sundaes, each one is delicious. Great flavors and toppings but at the same time, US Mr Ice Cream keeps it simple. You can get by with just a chocolate or vanilla sundae with hot fudge and it's amazing. And let's talk about the service. The guy behind the counter is maybe the nicest man I've ever met. He's super positive, he's super helpful, and he puts his heart and soul into each order. It's truly a pleasure going there and giving him your business. There's no shortage of ice cream shops in the area, but if you live within 25 minutes of this place, you need to make this your go-to dessert stop. It's worth the trip. The store is easy to miss, it's next to an office building, but put your faith in your GPS and head right over there today. You'll thank me later.

Reggie the Millennial Good Humor Man!

We started Labor Day weekend with a treat! After scrolling through instagram, I decided I definitely wanted the Banana Foster waffle cone. When we pulled up, Reggie was so lovely and accommodating. Definitely a large selection to choose from. Reggie is the new age Good Humor Man! There were photos on the outside of the establishment of what to choose from, and many water ice flavors. Such a clean little ice cream shop, and he gloved up and was ready to perform caloric surgery! A wonderful man and great to have him in our fabulous town. Complimentary vanilla cup for Finn! Thank you Reggie! See you soon!

Absolutely love a flight, especially if it involves ice cream!…read more This place is so cozy and cute with such unique flavors of fresh made ice cream. This past summer I have been on the lookout for the best ice cream in Mercer County and this place. Definitely takes the cake. The ice cream is soft creamy and fresh and they have such unique flavors as well as seasonal flavors. The ice cream flight is $12 for four scoops of ice cream, which I think is an amazing deal! There's indoor and outdoor seating, but depending on the time of day that you go, they are very busy. But they are in such a nice location that if you would like to grab ice cream and take a walk in the downtown Lawrenceville area you can.

But baby the peri 'pause had me catching the business end of a hot flash while I was running errands a while ago so I decided to finally check out Melba. Truth be told I was all but in before I spontaneously combusted at Shop Rite because they posted their newest flavor drop - Bay Leaf Stracciatella. I ADORE unique and savory ice cream flavors and had to taste it for myself. A woman on a mission, I didn't even think to ask for samples and just blurted out my order without seeing what else was on offer. Oops. Anyway I got 2 skewps on a delicate sugar cone (BTW, much like ICE, waffle cones should be abolished). It was delectable. Not at all sweet, the bitterness of the chocolate was very forward and the bay leaf was reminiscent of soup lmao. The texture was divine. I could be home legs splayed in the air conditioning right now. Instead I'm sitting outside behind Melba getting my entire life. You should too!

As we waiting for our ice cream sundaes to arrive, the servers came outside and gave us fresh popcorn. It was such a small but sweet (and tasty) gesture. The owner came out and gave us our ice cream sundaes and chatted with us for a while about the life of an entrepreneur. She was so kind to give us so much attention and information on her life starting businesses in the local area. The mission of this shop is so pure and you can tell that the ice cream parlor was built with so much love. The ice cream and mango italian ice were both fantastic. If you are in the area, I hope you get the chance to visit and have conversation with the family.

I think in many of our cultures, getting ice cream was somewhat of a treat and possibly enjoyed while on summer vacations. In this environment it gets even better. That was my mindset when seeing TIP for the first time. Clean and brightly colored shop with very nice outdoor seating options. Going inside you encounter a clean, colorful and brightly lit space with a few more tables. The counter was plexiglassed ala Covid style. Cases held about 12 ice cream choices, with maybe 8 more ice choices. Several options looked appealing to me. I went with old faithful chocolate and paired it with something I've never had, banana split. While I liked the chocolate, I really liked the split. It did remind me of getting sundaes and such as a child. The flavors were clean in both, and not overly sweetened. A better than average creaminess, but not in the upper tier. I'd get either again, or maybe one of the rotating flavors. The ice cream is not made in house, I was informed that it is sourced from local makers. I have a few suspicions as to who they might be, but of course more research will be required;). I really enjoyed talking with the owner and his two sons. To say this is a family business and or a labor of love is just barely hitting the mark. I'm tempted to tell the whole story here but I think it's better for the curious to just visit themselves. This is a business I would love to see thrive for many years. And as they succeed it could offer hope to other businesses or even families. Trenton needed this.

They've an impressive range of flavors, and I try to always try a flavor that I've not had in a long time, however I need to have my chocolate cherry more often than not. It's also very common to see people walking along the counter to pick their flavors. If you haven't made a decision, and the people behind you in line know what they want, do the right thing and let them go first. They give healthy scoops, and one scoop, although it doesn't sound like much, might be enough for someone with less post-dinner space available in their belly. If it's your first time visiting, watch the scoops being given to the person in front of you before making your decision. As an added bonus, during Spring and Summer Saturday nights, they have live music in the room as well. It's a cheap, fun date.
