Carvel is consistently good! We order from here often and get great quality delivered each time. I'm giving three stars because I have gone in person on two separate occasions at around 1:30/2:00pm and they have been closed when their hours state they open at 11am. Seems like I'm not the only person with this complaint. Hours need to be updated. read more

It is always pleasant to come to this Carvel. Whenever I'm craving some good, rich ice cream, I come to this Carvel right by my house. They have an abundance of flavors, types, and other different ice cream-related items. They're always happy to allow you to sample the different flavors. I'm a huge chocolate lover so I almost always get the triple brownie (something like that) ice cream in a cone. It is soooo chocolatey and rich! Delicious! I've tried other flavors too and all of them are great solid ice cream. This is a classic place and it's run by a nice family. They are very sweet, patient, and welcoming. While I understand how difficult things are during Covid, other Carvel stores as well as other businesses, have taken measures to adjust, but this is the second year (prior to Covid) that I have had issues with this location. I called the store to order an ice cream cake. The mailbox was full - an indicator that meassages are not being picked up on a regular basis. So I drove out to the store, but it was closed in spite of being there during open store hours with no explanation posted! How difficult is it to post a sign, pick up messages and to leave an outgoing message on your machine to say you are closed until the virus is under control?? This same thing happened last year as well. I suggest you seek a different Carvel location. That's what I did and will no longer give them my business. Disappointing. I love Carvel. I haven't been in a Carvel in forever and coming here today was the best. The place was small but very welcoming. The employees which were only two were both very nice and smiled at us. One of them was an older man, which I assume is the owner and he was super awesome! Not to mention, that the ice creams were delicious! My fiancé and I, ordered Carvalanches and they were GREAT! I am a little disappointed in the customer service especially in an ice cream place. I came in and nobody greeted me or anything and while I was looking at what to order, they never offered to help or give recommendations. The ice cream was good but you can't go wrong with Carvel, I was a little disappointed because I saw the person after me got nutella and that's what I really wanted but I didn't see it announced anywhere . They should definitely promote that more because how else are non-regulars going to know about it. It says they open at 11am I'm here at 12:19pm the door is locked and they don't answer the phone.

Ordered a cake for my son and was told it would be ready at noon on Sunday. I'm standing in front of the store and store is closed. Lights off, nobody answers the phone and now not only did they take my money for the cake but my sons cake isn't available for pick up since they decided not to open today. Store sign says they open today at 11 yet it's 12 noon and no one in sight. Unacceptable!!!! read more

It seems like it is family operated. However, the staff is very nice and inviting. You can never go wrong with one of those sundae dashers. I had a reeses sundae dasher and a medium sized one at that and let me tell you, I came out happy and full. Decently affordable prices, different selections of ice cream, and cakes. Just to get this out of the way, this review will be CRAZY biased. I've been going to this place for nearly 20 years, and it's always been run by the same people. Back when I used to go more often the owner(s) would recognize my family and strike up a conversation (assuming the place wasn't slammed). I've grown up, and I hadn't been back for a while, but I'm glad everything remains the same. Not only has been around for more than twenty five years at the same location, but also owned by same family. Usually we visit the place twice a week or more and every time we leave with a sweet and happy smile.
