I got the feeling that this was something that I must absolutely try so I took my son who is an empanada fan and hit the road. We got there at the end of the day and luckily there was 1 veg empanada left so it was meant to be! I got the vegetable one and he got beef. We also got a little container of green sauce. We looked around and I saw the most beautiful cupcakes so I had to buy a few. I was also interested in the almond danish but I decided to save that for another day. We polished off the empanadas very quickly. I have to say that they were the best empanadas I've ever had. They are not even comparable to any other empanadas I've ever tried. I'm not an expert on this subject but I know awesomeness from mediocrity and these were awesome. Yes empanadas from a bakery get an A+++. The outside was light and flaky and the filling was very flavorful and juicy. As far as the cupcakes, also an A+++. Besides being beautiful with the decorations and edible glitter they were very delicious. I tasted a piece of the carrot cake one and the one with the Oreo on top, both were moist inside and had the perfect amount of frosting. I did not taste the vanilla or the funfetti one but my kids said that they were the best they've ever tried. We've had plenty of cupcakes from bakeries in our lifetime and most were looking pretty but fell flat in the flavor department. These exceeded expectations in both area. We live a few miles away which might be dangerous. We will definitely be back.

I wanted a funfetti cake and the one they had readily available had lovely sunflowers on it. The woman working was so sweet and put some writing on the cake for me. The 6" cake was about $50 dollars which seemed a bit high, but I think its pretty standard for a bakery. The cake itself was very moist and absolutely delicious and I would give it an A+. The cake I purchased for her birthday from another local bakery last year was really dry, so I was pleasantly surprised by this cake. The buttercream frosting was where I felt the cake fell a bit short. It tasted like pure unsalted butter and had almost no sweetness to it, so we ended up just eating the cake center and leaving the frosting. Unfortunate for an expensive cake but based on the other reviews I'm wondering if it was just a one time error. I don't think I would get another cake from there, but the rest of the baked goods and empanadas looked awesome so I will definitely be bake to try those!

The negative reviews are kind of funny because of what people are complaining about. One guy went here to get coffee? No, this is not the place to get coffee, walk in the door and see that, it's not what they do. I don't think they even have an espresso machine here. I do have to admit that Park Bake shop does do breads and bagels but they are not very good. I tried once or twice because they looked good but the taste just isn't there. But what they do well is cookies, cakes, and pastries. Pretty much anything in the cases are excellent. All the cookies are awesome, always fresh, and all reasonably priced. BTW, I recommend going earlier in the day to ensure you get exactly what you want. Luckily they still had what I just had to have. Additionally, they have a bunch of other baked goods. In the cases there were cookies, cakes, cheese cakes, lobster claws, Napoleons, cupcakes, etc. too! The homey bakery space is roomy with a table of baked-good trays to go in the center of the store. But when it comes to custom cakes, NO ONE is better than Agata! She is phenomenal! Not only does she make the most creative and artistic looking cakes, they are also UNBELIEVABLY delicious. So far my experience with Agata is that she can make any cake you want. I first came across her work after doing a Google search looking for someone who could bake me a Ferrero Rocher cake. I wanted it to be exactly like the chocolate, with the Nutella center and the crunchy wafer layer. NO BAKER I visited in person was able to do that. When I contacted Agata I expected her to say no too since so many people had. But I was positively surprised when she said she could do it. And not only did she do it, she did it PERFECTLY!
