We've been shopping at Robert's Seafood Market for a few years now. My husband went a couple of…read moreweeks ago and bought crab legs and 4 filet mignons. Crab legs were delicious, then last night we had the filets. I cooked all 4 as we were celebrating our daughter's birthday. We're eating them when my husband said something was wrong with his and it tasted AWFUL. We decided the sealed plastic must have had a pinhole leak in it and it got rotten? It looked like ground beef all mushed together then we realized it had an odor too. So we threw it away and the three of us all cut our filets and shared ours with him. So, today he goes there and shows them THE PHOTO- they didn't want to look at the leftover mushy filet itself. They apologized, and gave him a gift card for one filet. Which is fair, but not very understanding or kind or generous. It spoiled our dinner, we all had to share our 6 oz filets with him, and he doesn't think he'll want to eat a filet again FOR A LONG TIME. I'm just saying I think Robert's could have been nicer about it.

From apples to Brita pitchers to shoes to beer and liquor!! You can find it all here. They've improved the bakery over the years and they do have a nice specialty dips and cheese section. We recently tried the Fredrik's Meijer brand frozen pizzas and they were awesome! The crust was so crispy and delicious as were the toppings. One of the things that has changed over the years is the number of employees that work the lanes. I was recently in over the Thanksgiving holiday, and they had a platter of samplers for almost every variety by their door. I love the sweet Crab and Chutney spread, the super savory Bacon Ranch Crab dip, the chunky Cheesy Crab Spread, the smoother and more mild Clam Dip, and the Smoked Fish Spread. Seriously, you can't go wrong here. The Crab and Spinach Dip was one I hadn't tried before, and it was delicious as well. But of course, my favorite (with the Crab & Chutney as a close second) is the perennial favorite Jim's Holiday Spread. The cream cheese and relish in this make it impossible to stop eating, and the sweetness is just perfect. I wish their online store had reasonable shipping costs so I can fly this across the country to me Los Angeles, where I am sadly without it for 51 weeks out of the year. I have yet to find a local equivalent, so I'll continue to pine for Dixon's spreads until the next holiday season.
