But today is my last trip to FF for the duration of this pandemic unless major changes in health policy are made with the staff. No one wears a mask, no staff practices social distancing, they work in close proximity (inches!) of each other without any protective gear, and they openly wonder about the merits of social distancing. Staff will walk into your personal space when focused on another customer. The store is cramped and so social distancing is difficult to practice with other shoppers. I don't want the staff to get sick. I want a unique local business to survive. But I don't feel safe shopping there, and I also don't want to support a health food store that won't actually engage in proper emergency public health policies! If the price is good for you, then take advantage of their curbside pickup, pay over the phone, call them to say you're outside, but don't go inside. It doesn't feel safe.

She boxed our chocolates nicely and sent us off with a smile. As we were leaving, my husband wanted me to open the box to give him and our daughter a piece. After I got the tape undone, and as we were walking out, I dropped the whole darn box! All the chocolates were on the floor in front of the store. I had not spared a single truffle. I was shocked and very disappointed. Having seen everything, the lady came out with every chocolate we had just selected (she remembered them all) in another box and said it was her pleasure. None of the chocolatiers I've tried can compare to Fannie May. And believe me, I've tried quite a few! They are wonderfully smooth, creamy and taste like they were made the day you buy them. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. It's something I buy for everyone on any special occasion (and sometimes for no reason at all :)
