This place is legendary on the 217 foodie page for their apple donuts and I'm sure in the area!! While in town we had to stop and were not disappointed. We got one of their apple donuts and omg, it was incredible!! I don't think I've ever had an apple donut so good and so fresh And it was the middle of the afternoon! All of their baked goods look wonderful. As we perused around the store I knew I had to get some jam and cheese to bring home. If we lived here I know we'd be regulars and my shopping basket would be full. read more

The Apple Barn is a cute local road side store that has a great selection of jelly and jams, pickled veggies, and as I discovered today, homemade desserts! My mom likes cherry jam and likes to be sure to get it from here. When we walked in today I heard someone say they'd like a piece of caramel apple cheesecake. I said, yes please!! Some how after all the times I've stopped in here I've never noticed that they sell homemade desserts. Wow, I've been missing out. We got three slices to go. I tried a small piece of both the cheesecake and butter cake. Both were super yummy. If you've never had butter cake, Google it, and give it a try. Yum yum and yummmm! The food is just to die for. They have the coolest items and treats. I loved their multiple options of ciders! I got the peach one and I craved it every day for about 2 weeks. They have tons of hot sauces, honey, and so much more. They have tons of pies, donuts, and plenty of other bakery items. There is something for everyone here! They also have a garden. During the spring/summer they have fruits and vegetables, like tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, peaches, strawberries, blackberries, corn and more. During the fall they have Carmel apples, pumpkins, mums, gourds and more! And during winter... they have Christmas trees!!! They have tons of candies and holiday favorites. I was visiting my sister for the weekend and she brought me to the Apple Barn. What a diamond in the rough! We literally had the best time ever! We bought pumpkins, jams/jellies, sweets, and more. The owners/those that were working were amazingly accommodating. Everything we bought from Apple Barn has been top notch. Their kind and thoughtful attitudes also went a long way. This place has never disappointed me for as long as I can remember. I absolutely love their baked items. I find it so hard to decide on only a few things so I don't excessively overeat sweets. The Apple cider is amazing. I highly recommend the Apple slushes in the summer. Each time I'm in there I end up buying something unique to try at home. The staff has always been extremely nice and helpful. Parking can be a little tough at times especially backing out. Be sure you really pay attention the cars really fly up on you quick on that road. I really feel like the prices are right around where they should be, if not a little low for the quality of what you get. I'm not suggesting raising them though lol read more

Apple barn is amazing!!! #1 recommendation: get the apple slushy! It is just so delicious and refreshing. It is their apple cider turned into slushy. Every time I come into town I make a stop at apple barn! Their other baked goods are delicious as well! They usually always have a good variety!!! I would also suggest getting the juusto baked cheese. You will fry it up with a little olive oil. The outside will be crunchy and the inside is melty. Squeeze lemon over the top and enjoy!! If fudge is your thing, make sure to get some!! The other thing I love about apple barn is they are all so friendly very time I am in!! read more

We drive 2 1/2 hrs yearly to pick up fresh blueberries from the Apple Barn. I order them 50-100 lbs, they call when they're ready for pic up. Great bakery also! Friendly people, very helpful. We'll be back next year read more

This is a quaint fruit stand selling fresh produce and lots of home-style canned goods (like pickled beets, relishes, syrups). They have lots of yummy pastries. The day we went, it was almost uncomfortably crowded in the tiny space and the staff seemed a little exasperated. It's definitely worth a trip if you're in the area. read more
