I had a terrible experience. The flowers arrived tired and were gone in three days although I'd given them fresh water. Once I received them, I contacted my friend who sent them. My friend had found the owner/manager extremely unappreciative and frustrated when she initially made the order and that was true when she called to check on the late delivery. Bad customer service from owners down to the delivery person. Our daughters have gifted us with flowers from there on three separate occasions. While the arrangements look good upon arrival, they wilt within a couple of days and, in two cases, the tall flowers (I.e., larkspur, I believe) are broken when delivered. I am from out of town and wanted to find a local florist to send flowers to my sister-in-law for her surgery. I loved the look of the kitty cure-all arrangement so decided to go with this shop. I ordered online and then called the next day to confirm they received the order. I found the person that answered the phone to be overwhelmed and unfriendly. When I inquired on a delivery time they snapped to let me know it was Valentine's week and they wouldn't guarantee anything for delivery time. My order was to be delivered before Valentine's Day so not quite sure why they felt the need to tell me that. The day of delivery I got an email saying the flowers were delivered. I called my brother as the temperatures were very cold, and wanted to make sure they were delivered inside. He was not home and was at the hospital picking up his wife and had not gotten the flowers. I called back to the floral shop to ask if they had been left outside and the annoyed person told me "No they brought them back because they weren't home" I did supply my brothers phone number to them for delivery, so not sure why they tried to deliver them when they were not home. Once again, they sounded VERY unfriendly on the phone. The flowers were delivered later that day and although they didn't very much resemble what I had ordered , my sister-in-law was happy enough with them. I would hate to see if I actually ordered something to be delivered on an actual holiday how they would handle it. Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. There are other florists in town so I will look elsewhere next time.**( the funny thing is I was not going to leave any review until they sent me a email inviting me to leave one on their site. The flowers looked great and got the approval from the Mother. This was an above average experience and exactly what I would want from a flower delivery shop. I thought my flowers hadn't been delivered because the arrangement was so inferior to what I ordered. The roses were all wilted. Asiatic lilies began dropping petals before the funeral the next day. I understand that you may need to substitute a flower but they didn't bother to substitute so the arrangement had less than half the blooms in the picture. To make it the 22 inch minimum height they placed gangly, limp gladiolus sticking out the top. It was an embarrassment for people to read our card attached. Unless you order from within the area skip this florist. Apparently they assumed I would not be coming to the funeral from Ohio. I wish I could post the 2 pictures side by side to show how extreme the difference was. read more

I live in the western suburbs of Chicago and have a daughter that lives in Springfield. I wanted to surprise her with flowers the day before Valentine's Day. I liked your website and you offered delivery services, so I placed an order online. I was somewhat disappointed when the flower arrangement was not delivered later that day, but understood the possibility that the business may have been stretched because of the large volume of orders. I would have liked to receive some notification and apology for the delay in service. 24 hours later I contacted Friday'Z Flower Shop and spoke with an employee and made some polite inquiries about my order. I gave my name and tried to provide my daughter's name but the employee was not interested in providing any level of customer service. I received a number of excuses as to why there was a delay in delivery and then told all orders were out in the truck(s) being delivered but there was no real information about when that would happen. From the photos my daughter sent me, the floral arrangement appears to be what I ordered but I probably will not use this florist in the future. I felt disrespected by the employee answering the phone. I hope this review will alert management to areas where improvement needs to take place. Donna G read more

I ordered a flower arrangement online for Valentine's Day. I was expecting something that looked at least similar to their picture, understanding that during such a busy holiday some substitutions might need to be made. If only I could post the two pictures of what I order and what I received! I was not expecting the vastly different arrangement that was delivered. First off, arrangement is a stretch term because the flowers were basically grouped together by type and not arranged in any manor. Literally, all purple daisies were clumped together, all white daisies clumped together, pink carnations clumped together and even the greenery added was clumped to one side! Next there were zero roses, only carnations and daisies unlike the description that states roses. Again, I understand substitutions, but when it guarantees something of equal or greater value will be substituted, I'm not sure what was equal to the roses in this bouquet! Set the bouquet that was received next to the one ordered and it would look only remotely similar but very unprofessionally put together. I have had many floral arrangements from a variety of shops and even grocery stores for a quick pickup that looked better than this one. I'm not a florist but have personally put together arrangements that looked far better than this one. Needless to say, I'll definitely never purchase from them again nor will I ever recommend them. read more

We ordered get well flowers for my mother-in-law, but typed in the wrong address when we ordered. Two days later, we called and let them know what happened, and they were willing to go deliver the flowers to the correct address. We are so grateful for their excellent customer service and that Mom was still able to receive beautiful flowers following her operation, despite our mistake! read more

Buyer beware! I ordered a $100 bouquet of flowers from Friday'z Flowers, for my wife for our 5th wedding anniversary 2 days in advance. The flowers was to be delivered to her place of work on Feb. 13th by 12:00 noon (our anniversary). 12:30 I found that they hadn't arrived so i called, they didn't know where they were. They called me back telling me that the order said 2:30! The lady apologized and said they would do what they could. The flowers never showed up at all! I left a comment on their website and got a quick response the next day (Feb 14th) explaining to me that Feb 13 is Valentines day and that to one was supposed to make promises on delivery ( Uggg, I wish they told me that 4 days ago). At least they said they are refunding my account, that's good since I have yet to get the flowers. Unorganized, incompetent? I don't know what their problem is,but i wouldn't count on them. Personally, I wouldn't and wont be using them again. I'm giving them exactly 1 star more than they deserve! read more
