Beyond disappointing- I ordered an $80 arrangement for a funeral, with white flowers for the occasion. What was delivered was a mostly red bouquet- have you ever seen red flowers at a funeral??! Not as requested and inappropriate to the occasion. Also the arrangement had a total of 1 rose, a spray rose, 3 carnations and 2 Gerber daises plus filler. Shocking for a total of $98. I was not able to attend the funeral so the arrangement was all that represented my family at the event. So sad. read more

THEY DELIVER CHEAP WHEN I PAID FOR PREMIUM I ordered Premium arrangement for $160 and they sent the basic $80. When I called to complain the gal simply hung up on me. My mistake was letting them know I am out of state. Very unscrupulous business practice. Absolutely will never do business with them again. I have pictures of what their website shows compared to what they delivered. The gal that hung up on me should not be in any customer service capacity. read more

The $109 bouquet I ordered to be delivered to the funeral home was not as robust as the online picture from their website. Some of the flowers looked as though the didn't have enough water or were wilting. The arrangement looked a bit haphazard for a floral shop. Very disappointed since this was from the family. read more

I am from St. Louis and googled florists in Springfield, IL and then read the reviews. The reviews were true! Flowers by MaryLou were perfect for my aunts visitation. When I called requesting a certain plant, she made other suggestions and she was right. The plant was beautiful! In fact, my cousin called for suggestions and I referred her to Flowers by MaryLou. We were both very happy with the service and the product. Thank you! read more

Superior customer service and extremely friendly staff. The owner hand delivered (to my home!) a fresh bouquet after I emailed that my flower order yesterday had unfortunately not looked as I expected. I did not expect this kind of response from Mary Lou and her team but it is truly why we continue to only go to her! They go above and beyond for customers, have the best arrangements in town and are a locally owned company! Cannot recommend this place enough! I have ordered for get well, Mother's Day, birthdays, just because and more! read more

A fruit bouquet seemed like the perfect gift for a friend and it was so convenient to order from the website. The staff were friendly and contacted me immediately to arrange a pick up time and ensure the produce was fresh. The result was gorgeous and the recipients loved it. I highly recommend. read more

I'm very disappointed in the size of arrangement I ordered for a client's grand opening. While the flowers themselves were nice, it was a completely small and unimpressive bouquet for the $100 I spent. Even if $20 of it was online ordering and delivery fees, what my client received for $80 was very small. Probably 8" x 8" including the container. Never ordering from them again. Completely underwhelmed. read more

Not impressed at all. Great customer service on the phone, but when the recipient showed me the picture of her flowers, it was sad - no filler, no bow, and about $10 worth of cheap carnations and daisies when I paid closer to $50. I am very disappointed. Would recommend Trendsetters in neighboring town Chatham. read more

My husband sent me 2 dozen long stemmed roses for my birthday. He said the customer service he received was great and he was very impressed. When I got the roses, they were amazing! All roses opened beautifully, they are so fragrant and everyone who walks by my office stops and says how beautiful they are. I highly recommend this florist! read more

I live in Ky and wanted to send my mother a fruit basket for Mother's Day. I found an arrangement I loved and fit for my mother as well as would be able to deliver in time. I made my purchase And all was well. I was very excited for my mother. I received an email that they needed my mother's phone number before they can deliver so I gave it although I wanted the delivery to be a surprise. They said they had to call before delivering due to Covid. I asked them to just leave it on the porch regardless and was told they had to contact first so they cancelled my order. It's my money, I paid for the product and if I wanted it left on the porch for my mother to find it shouldn't matter to the provider, they got paid for the service and wouldn't provide it for whatever reason. I'm very upset and I now have to find another option so close to Mother's Day. Let alone this was a $70 purchase. This would've completely followed a contactless delivery as their policy. I guess they didn't need the business in these "difficult times". read more

Do NOT use this florist. Ordered flowers for a funeral; paid $120 to get a nice arrangement. What I got was very sad. I even paid an extra $5 to get a ribbon that said Dear Aunt; it was nowhere to be seen. The arrangement was very small, no pricey flowers in it (i.e. no roses, gerbera daisies, etc.); just some mums and daisies and filler flowers, and many of them were wilted. Since I lived over an hour away from the funeral, I'm guessing they didn't think I would see the flowers. But I did attend the wake. I called Mary Lou's the next day to complain. I was told that if I wasn't happy or there was something wrong with the arrangement, they would adjust the price. Instead, they had the funeral director take a picture of the flowers, they forwarded it to me, and said they looked fine. They also had him take a picture of the Dear Aunt ribbon - it was on the floor; not even on the flowers. After receiving the pictures, I waited to see if they would adjust the outrageous price they charged. I received my MasterCard bill today. They did not. I suppose they figured since I was an out of town customer, they'd never get business from me again anyway. I don't mind paying a lot for a quality product; however, the arrangement was small, the flowers were in poor condition, and the ribbon on the floor where it couldn't be seen. Don't use these folks - they are a ripoff. read more
