We were in town visiting and wanted to check out all the various grocery chains here. Schnucks is a nice store with a good selection in every aisle. If I lived here it would definitely be on my list of stops weekly. Employees are friendly and the store itself appreaed fully stocked. read more

I've used the delivery service and it has been great for me since I can't drive anymore and live in nearby Montvale Retirement Residences. A woman named Tamika did my shopping and she made excellent choices, especially for my produce items. The delivery person was courteous and my items came in plastic bags, none of them overloaded or hard for me to handle. I will use Schucks again today, and hope to receive the same quality of service. read more

This is how long you will wait in line. They do have the best meeting town and their vegetables are very fresh probably. The best in the town also but when you go there and you have to wait in line 35 to 40 minutes it's not worth it. Now hundreds of carts are being left at Saint Louis city stores because they went to all self-service people are walking out you can buy food from Whole Foods. Or trader Joe's without even leaving your house? It will be delivered in boxes. You don't have to go to the grocery stores and be held up. read more

I love Schnuck's and shop here a few times a month when I'm nearby. I recently ran in for a few last minute items for the July 4th holiday and I picked up some "Suddenly Salad," advertised as 2/$4, so I purchased two boxes. The next day I was making the 'Suddenly Salad' and noticed that this box expired in May of 2023. It is now two months later and I am buying a product on sale, thinking I am getting a decent discount so why not impulse buy this product, and it is expired. Shame on you Schnuck's. I do not like this at all and am super disappointed that this company would do this to their customers. IDC about it being expired, it's the deception. If you want to sell expired product, advertise as such and let us choose. And sell it cheaper! Total bonehead move on Schnucks' part. I still like shopping here but will be more careful. read more

We ordered our complete Thanksgiving Dinner from Schnucks this year because we thought there were only going to be three of us. Description said feeds 4-6 though. So we ended up with 5 people. I ordered the fried turkey breast, gravy and three side dishes. EVERYTHING tasted fantastic. Nothing had that artificial taste, it all tasted like I had cooked it. I was worried a breast wouldn't be enough, but we all went home with leftovers. I will definitely do this again and I would highly recommend it! read more

I lived near St Louis for long period of time. I stopped shopping their because of quality of meat. I moved to Springfield and not familiar with the area I went to Schnuck. Same poor quality different location. I went first time and was purchasing ground beef. It had a sell by date next day. It was horrible lookin. I went back another day. Meat had a date few days out. I bring home pork chops and ground beef. Put in refrigerator immediately and next day stinks and brown. They want to buy poor quality and not care. Do not shop at Schnucks anywhere has to be better read more

Excellent variety of produce and great quality, however expect to pay a little more than you would at a different chain. My husband and I are new to the area and we were referred to this store for their quality produce. They did not disappoint. The fresh meat offerings were not as impressive as the produce but still good variety. We will continue to shop here for our produce and other specialty items but will leave other shopping to Meijers or other locations. I can't justify paying more for the same product. read more

The good things-charming baggers; excellent produce;and Brenda and Judy, the checkers. But this store needs some fine tuning. Checkout lines are long no matter what time of day but 10:00 on a Saturday AM merits more than 2 checkout lines. The baggers need basic training on how to bag, ie., my loaf of fresh bread was on the bottom of the bag and now looks like a bread bowl rather than a loaf of bread. My last experience with the bakery resulted in a wrong order-double what I needed. When I complained, it was attributed to the fact none of the regular bakery employees were there that day. Come on Schnucks-you can do better. read more

SO BUSY! Over crowded and they only had 2 or 3 check lines open. If I were doing my big grocery shopping I wouldn't have mind so much. For someone who just had a box for crackers and a soda, waiting that long was CRAZY. read more

The parking lot has a tire-swallowing pot hole in it. I know Schnucks does not own the property, but I thought they might want to put an orange cone out there or alert property managers to protect their customers from damaging their cars. I stood at the information desk for 5 minutes while the woman working it completely ignored me. She knew I was there. A checker said something to her and gestured at me and the information desk woman nodded impatiently indicating she knew I was there. She had a highlighter out and was looking at a computer screen occasionally and marking on a list of some sort, but that's all she was doing. If that task was so important that she couldn't be torn away from it, she could have at least acknowledged me and said she'd be with me in a minute or something. Finally, I gave up and left. I emailed The DESCO group about the pothole when I got home. I can't say I will never go to Schnucks again because they carry a few items I can't find anywhere else. However, I will definitely be going there far less often. With the pretty prices they charge, they can't afford to alienate their customers. Being blatantly ignored pushes all of my buttons. I'll not patronize them often. read more

Pricey. Definitely more expensive than my favorite Springfield grocery store, Shop 'n Save. Their veggies are never as fresh, but their liquor selection is better. Check for specials, for sure. Ben & Jerry's is often on sale. They have a larger selection of vegetarian stuff than SNS, as well. Good deli, and the afternoon salad bar is hit or miss, leaning toward hit. Oh, their asiago bagels are out of this world! read more

I don't do the grocery shopping for the family, but my wife comes here regularly, so it must be doing something right. I bought some steaks here a couple months ago and they were delicious. I suppose that's enough reason to give them a positive review. read more

Omg the deli here is an ordeal slow hardly seems adequate and the casual chit chat between workers is annoying.

I've only been to the pharmacy twice and I was impressed with the outstanding customer service that I received from this location. If you require a prescription to be filled in a quick and efficient manner, than this is the place to come. The pharmacy staff are also courteous and knowledgeable. read more
