My wife and I stopped by this Carter store inside Valencia Town Center with our baby daughter. She wanted to see what kind of clothing they might have for her so we went inside. The store was not busy when we were there. They had like two workers in the store and both of them were working the checkout station. We found some small shoes for our daughter so that's what I purchase for her. The store has a lot of clothing inside and also toys too. The customer service was great when we were there. read more

I recommend physically walking into this store because there are always door busters. When I came in directly on my right were $7 romper door busters. Perfect for the summer. This place is clean and cool (perfect for the hot summer days out here). And they have a restroom for adults and littles. The service is good, Fatima is the manager and super sweet. I had placed an order online for pick up, thinking they would do curbside pickup like other stores at the mall. When I arrived, I parked in the curbside pickup location and called the store. I was told that they do not offer curbside pickup and would need to come inside the store to get my order. I drove to a new parking spot and went inside to get my order. I was helped fairly quickly and then I was on my way. While mildly inconvenient because I had my 1 year old with me, and I don't like to take him into the general public due to Covid risks, my in store pick up experience was still pleasant. They made sure I got my order quickly and the employees were all friendly and welcoming. I was in and out of the store in less than 5 minutes. I love buying clothes for my kids here because everything is great quality and the styles are so cute. I will return soon, but I do hope they consider offering curbside pickup. read more

So this is an update from my previous review. I called the consumer affairs number to speak to someone in regards to the complaint I made. The associate seemed to be understanding of my situation and kindly insisted to send me a gift card to restore my faith in carters. It has been about a month since I spoke with the associate and I have not received what I was promised for the trouble and inconvenience. Is this how you rectify unfortunate situations with broken promises? Absolutely not happy! Customer service at the local store is horrible and now with consumer affairs. LOVE Carters. Very good prices and they always have something on sale. I shop here at least once a month for my daughter. I have always been treated well by the staff- they are helpful and attentive. The hubs, baby and I usually go to the Carters in Granada Hills but decided to go to this one since we were in the area. This location is a lot bigger and has a wider selection. Cashier was also very friendly and service was fast. Will be coming back here once the kiddo outgrows his current wardrobe for another shopping spree! read more

I LOVE CARTER'S as a brand but this store, specifically, did not help me out one bit! I was in rather early in the day and had hoped to be able to take advantage of some of the door buster deals. Well, it would be nice if sizes were available and if clothes on display were sized accordingly. It is tough when you don't have things in order. There were odd empty spaces and tons of incorrect signage all over the place. The cashier was friendly but didn't have too much to ring up, with me. I had a hard time finding the things that I needed and the things that I was looking to purchase as holiday gifts. I'm not sure if there is some sort of change going on because the holidays are nearing but I feel like the employees could have really benefitted from opening another 2 hours later just to get the store ready to really be shopped heavily. My experience in this Carters was great! The associate that helped me made sure I knew of all the promotions that were going on and she even helped me decide which sizes to get because I had no idea. Lol. On top of that their clearance section is HUGE and they were doing an additional 25% off of clearance items which was an amazing deal! And since I spent $50 I also got a $10 voucher to come back and spend in the store andddd and I got a 20% off coupon as well. Maybe I went in this store on the perfect day or maybe Carters just has sweeeet deals that will keep me coming back. Thanks again ladies! read more

This place is horrible very misinforming, I returned some items which I had originally purchased with a debit card. When returning I asked the store clerk if she could just return cash instead of putting back on the card (eve though I had my receipt) she said no made me walk back to my car to get the card and now I have to wait 3 to 5 business days to get my money back, when I called the Carter's in Sun Valley, CA the told me something so different. They told me she could have returned cash to me and didn't understand why she needed my card when a debit charge is like paying with cash, REGRET going there I should of just gone to the one in SUN VALLEY.... read more

I don't even give this store one star but I have to in order to write this review, let me just say I don't even use yelp but the costumer service I received here was bad enough for me to take my time and make a yelp just to share my thoughts. First thing first I absolutely love Carters I'm from Palmdale so the Palmdale store is definitely my go to but my niece and nephews live in golden valley so occasionally I will make a visit to the mall out there I love the Valencia mall but I will never go back to the Carters there again, who runs that place? Tina, you the rudest lady I have ever met! Let me just say that lady needs to go back though training, who handed her A position in this store? Shame on you. Next time a consumer walks through your store I suggest you smile or maybe greet them, and I don't think it would have broke your arm to double check if you had something in the back rather than say "I know I don't have it"! I never even knew there was a carter's outlet until my husband and I went to the valencia mall. Now I go there at least twice a month to shop. I am addicted to their baby clothes. I love the fact that they have just as many baby boy clothes as they do for baby girls. But I wish they'd stop sending coupons because I HAVE to go back when they do :P read more

This rating is based on their store policy - or so I was told. I was buying several outfits. There was an outfit that I thought was on sale because it was on the sale section. When it was rung up, I asked about the price and the sales woman told me it was probably put there by another customer. Okay, fine. I understand. So I said because it wasn't on sale, I didn't want it afterall. Could she void or do a return on it. Please remember that I haven't left the store. She tells me she needs my ID, even though I have the receipt. She claimed it was the store's policy. I don't see how a store needs to know the identity and other personal info about a customer who is just returning an item - and with the receipt at that. And I haven't even left the store! Now I know some stores do require your ID if you don't have a receipt, but this was just ridiculous, insulting, and very questionable. If indeed it is their policy, it is a practice that needs to be looked into by the Better Business Bureau. read more

After I used my debit card to complete my purchase, the employee stated (to her coworker) that the system had crashed "again" and told me that I would have to re-complete the transaction. I had already signed for the purchase, and the card reader indicated that I could remove my card, so I knew my card had already been charged. I used my phone to sign into my bank account, and saw that the charge had been taken from my account. Despite showing this to the employee, she called a manager, who said that I would have to pay again, because THEIR computer didn't show that the transaction was completed. They said I either had to pay again or leave without my purchase... WHICH I HAD PROOF I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR (the debit from my checking account). The employee apologized, but said that the second charge either wouldn't go through or, if it did, I could dispute the second charge with my bank. Or she said I could leave without the clothing. I wasn't about to leave without the clothing I HAD PAID FOR, so I paid again... sure enough, both charges went through... so now I get to deal with calling my bank and hope they have better customer service than Carters. read more

I am a constant shower at charters since the birth of two of my daughters. Yesterday I had to return some $4 dollar shirts and came across a rude and upset representative. She walk older in age and gave me such a hard time at the counter. Her body language was extremely negative and she even made me read some numbers from the tags of the shirts. Then she declared some of them un reternable due to its wrinkled look. I am a frequent shopper there and first time came across such a rudeness. I guess carters does not recognize the value of a customer. My return was under $30 Dollars and the reason was its quality. I made a trip to the store with my children and to be treated with disrespect is not ok. Out of six shirts she returned only four and with an attitude to last a lifetime. I am always faced with a decision whether to shop at carters or Gymboree and now it is clear where I will take my business. Outrageous acts such as this are always memorable and the products are not more superior neither are the prices. read more
