I first left 5 stars, but after picking up my car I found multiple hazard lights on the dashboard that weren't there before the repair. When I brought it back, I was told it "came in that way," but was never informed. Now I'm left with extra repair costs I believe were caused during their work. I was involved in a hit and run, and they ruined the rear driver quarter, but I got their information and had the deductible waived; my insurance, GEICO, endorses this business and I'm more than impressed. The staff was very friendly and helpful, got my car back about a week later and it looks completely new, really shiny and the paint blends in perfectly, doesn't look odd or mismatched. They cleaned the interior and even gave me a cake too! read more

I got my car repaired there after a rear end collision. They originally told me it would take a week and it took 3 weeks. They did not keep me updated on the status like they had promised, and gave me pickup times twice when the car was not ready. I ended up taking time off of work to go pick up the car only to find out that it wasn't ready yet, and wouldn't be ready for a couple of days. Fast forward a couple of days and the same thing happened. I finally got my car back, and it wasn't repaired right. The trunk was not properly aligned, and there was still a large bend in the frame of the trunk. I ended up calling my insurance company and refused to bring it back there to get it fixed. The other shop did a great job and repaired the misalignment in only a day. Now the paint that Thomas Auto Body did when originally fixing the car is starting to peel off of the back. Don't trust them with your car. read more

Nobody likes dealing with an accident, but Thomas Waldron Carstar made the experience not so bad. Recently brought my car here for a minor fender bender, and I was impressed by every aspect of the process. Everybody was pleasant and helpful, as well as quick in getting things going. The car looked better than when I had dropped it off, and every aspect of the repair was perfect. As a part of an integrated insurance claim solution, the rental aspect was quick, and easy. They truly went above and beyond in their service, addressing issues that weren't even their fault, or the fault of the accident. These people are cold. No human emotion or consideration....they are always acting defensive like you the customer may be there to screw THEM over. Ha. So a little backstory......a few months back my wife hit some piece of debris on the highway which caused some damage to the front end. We brought our car to this garage and when we got it back it seemed fine. Days later a panel started to come loose so I brought it back and the guy looked at it for two minutes and said that someone forgot to put some clips on that we're supposed to hold it in place. He took the car into the garage and returned it to me fixed but with no apology for the shoddy work. Cut to last month. I, at no fault of my own, got into a separate front end collision requiring a lot of the same parts to be replaced again. Recently the exact same panel started to come loose again but this time I noticed that the clips that had been there had been cut and an obscene amount of what looked like gorilla glue had been haphazardly applied to hold the panel in place. Today I drove my car over there to show them the less than desirable work and ask that they please fix it (also the work was under warranty). They then insisted that under no circumstances would they have ever put glue on that spot. I then attempted to explain to them that since bringing my car to them last I had not a) applied any glue to it or b) brought it to any other garage to have any work done. They would not listen to reason and logic and just spoke over me, not even hearing the points I was making. They refused to take any blame and refused to honor their obligation to fix it. They're approach to customer service is that of a large corporation that doesn't value individual customers. Do yourself a favor and find yourself a more trustworthy and caring garage... read more

I was quite impressed with my service at the Waldron's Carstar in Worcester. I needed a bumper replaced due to a rear-ending. They were fast, communicative, thorough and reasonable. Fast: I brought my car in on Tuesday 12/30, and they had the car finished on Friday 1/2, despite the New Years holiday and the fact that I needed AutoBahn (or whatever it is called) applied, which can add up to 48 hours to a repair job. Communicative: The receptionist (Laura? Diana?) was very friendly and gave clear explanations of what I needed to do. She had me fill out a form, which allowed me to select how often I wanted to be contacted. Daily, 2x/week, weekly, or once repair was finished. I loved that they had the 2x/week option, so that's what I chose. Thorough: Even though it seemed like superficial damage to the bumper, they found some slight damage in the framing underneath. They fixed that at very little cost. Reasonable: I expected this to cost a good $500 more than what it ended up. All in all, I'm really glad I went to this auto body shop, and I would recommend them to anyone in the area. read more

Had a collision repair done here through Geico with wonderful results. I'm very meticulous and expect high quality work. When I went to pick up the car, one small area had some debris stuck under the paint. The staff said they'd respray the area no problem. The next day, my car came out looking brand new. They even washed the exterior and shined the tires. The paint looked factory fresh and didn't have any sags, runs or overspray. I do have a critique for the Geico rep at the shop, though. He's a nice guy but needs to do a better job communicating the status of repairs. He was difficult to reach by phone and the only time I got a hold of him was on the last day when he said my car was done. read more

Happy with the outcome, not happy with being lied to. I was told they were going to order a new part and instead they tried to salvage an old piece. It was unable to be reused so they ended up having to order a new piece anyways. Which resulted in me waiting longer than expected to get my car back. They should have done what they told me they were doing in the first place. Also not impressed with the front desk receptionist, Karen. She has a pre recorded conversation ready in her head and it's the same for every phone call. If you ask her a question that's not in her script she can't compute. read more

I like to keep business local. To that end, when my truck needed body work, I went around the corner to Thomas'. After having my truck 9 days they missed a deep scratch on the back and did something to kill my battery so it wouldn't even take a charge. I had to buy a new one after the hassle of two jump starts. When I returned to request satisfaction they wanted to charge me to fix the scratch and refused responsibility for the battery. They told me to get a lawyer. That's exactly what I'm going to do. read more

Dropped my car off here while I was on a 2 week vacation. I needed a new front and rear bumper and a new wheel. Wasn't given an estimated time of completion at all. Actually I stayed in the shop for 20 extra minutes because no one said I was ok to leave or asked for my car keys. As I'm sitting there another customer comes in to pickup his car. He's then asked why he's there because no one had called him. He says the app said his car was done two days ago. The receptionist gets someone to check and he's told that his window came in damaged so they needed to purchase another one and install it. He asks why no one updated the app or gave him a completion date. That should have been a red flag. Back to my situation, I call them exactly a week after drop off and ask them for my completion date. She gives me a date another 2 weeks after the current date. I was angry because I called around to see what shop would be quicker as I rely on my car for work. Every other place including this one gave me a week at the longest. She said that the parts were just ordered. Fast forward to 3 business days later and the same woman leaves me a voicemail saying my car is almost done and "would be for sure ready for pickup tomorrow". I was told I would get a call the following day with a time. This place closes at 5pm. So when it was 3pm of the day I was told I could pick up I decided to call. A guy picks up this time and says he is going to see if the car is "done done". He comes back and tell me they haven't even received my new wheel yet!!! And even after the wheel comes in they will need to do an alignment. I was shaking at this point as then tells me if they can't do it today it won't be ready until Monday or Tuesday of next week because of the holiday. Again. I rely on my car for work and this place could never get me a date. They were unprofessional from the beginning but I picked this place because it's 5 minutes from where I live. I will never do business with this shop again. I still do not have my car and don't know when I will have it. And they never entered my information for me to be able to get status updates on my car. Every time I tried it told me I wasn't in their records. read more

This body shop repaired my car after an accident. When I got the car back, the driver's door was a bit stiff. That was okay, but then the door broke so that it would simply swing open loosely. When I took it back to them, the man I spoke to insisted that it wasn't their fault. He said that it the door must have been wrenched open somehow, either by a person or by the wind (!). Since only my wife and I drive the car, we knew that this hadn't happened. It didn't matter -- they weren't willing to take responsibility. I would avoid this place if at all possible. read more

I made the mistake of going here based on the referral of someone who has used them for decades while it was under the management of the original owner. Do not make the same mistake yourself. I have almost nothing good to say about them, except that when I complained enough to the manager about the repair taking so much longer than they'd said they paid for a rental for the last few days that they had my car. First and foremost, they told me it'd take 1-2 weeks, and it took three. I get that sometimes things come up, but as a business owner myself, I make sure to tell people what the worst realistic scenario is, not the perfect one. I could have dealt with three weeks if they'd told me that, rather than postponing it three times. Their updates were sporadic at best, and every time frame given was changed the next time they called. I had to call them a few times for an update the day after I had been told to expect a call. Apparently the receptionist was out a few days. On the call where my repair was postponed for the third time, I asked if I was getting a discount for it taking so long, and was transferred to the manager (Gary), who tried to explain that because it was a ten thousand dollar repair (it wasn't, it was 7k, and it was a $17k car a year ago, would've been totalled if it was 10k of damage) was why it was taking longer. I don't get what the relevance of the cost of the repair is to how long it takes, or why they couldn't have given me an accurate time frame from the start, but he covered my rental for the remaining three days they had my car, and I didn't bother pushing the point, I figured it was something car related I wouldn't understand. When I went to pick it up, I immediately noticed a dent that wasn't there when I dropped it off. I pointed it out to them, and they showed me pictures showing it was there before they washed the car. It wasn't a small dent, or something I'd have been able to miss, and certainly wasn't there when I dropped it off. My guess is that it's from the stone wall to the left of the building, next to where I'd parked my car, and the photos they have are of it in a parking spot, so it would have been moved before they took them. I went there on a very good referral, and foolishly didn't take precautions I would have normally, so I can't prove otherwise. I'm very, very unsatisfied, and will absolutely never be going back here again. read more

Thomas auto body was recently ( within the last 2 years) purchased by a new owner, upon purchase none of the original staff, or staff after that still work there, if that gives you any idea of how the operation works... all experienced techs have up and left and the owner will only hire kids with little to no knowledge ( not exactly who you trust with the safety of your vehicle! ) do your self a favor and stay away from all franchise body shops in general, they will cut all corners to make the most money, with poor results. read more

If you want your car fixed right with a lifetime warranty then this is the place for you! I have brought my car back for additional repairs stemming from an accident weeks after a repair. I have to say this business runs a tight ship. I was rear ended recently and the whole situation has been an annoyance to say the least. The Nissan dealership in auburn put in a good word for them so I went there. This place has really gone the extra mile to make my experience less cumbersome. And the staff especially one woman that's been working with me Karen, has been more than helpful and very pleasant. Coming from a family of small business owners I know what quality customer service means and there is not much of it out there anymore. I highly suggest this auto body shop. read more
