This place is hired to be a predatory towing scam. 20 car parking lot with one car in the lot, one sign posted at one ending of this big lot. We stopped by to bring our daughter some food and cut up and dispose of cardboard for her. We saw the tow truck parked on the street but didn't think much of it. We were a 10 minute drop and go. While grabbing the cardboard to dispose this guy had our suv on the lift (8 minutes). He saw us drive in, nobody else was there and he did not care. I moved to Worcester 2 weeks ago. I have a parking pass for the garage of the building I live in but I was unloading my car and left it in the regular building parking lot. My car was towed at 12:55am for being parked in an EV spot. I spoke to management and they told me after 7pm it's okay to park there. They also said Pats patrols from 9am-7pm so why did they tow me at 12:55am?! They charged me $217 for towing my car 0.6m from my home!!! I went back to Pats the following day after my management office said I should dispute it with them and they were EXTREMELY rude and condescending!! They also said the spot has a sign saying EV only which it does not! They said I need to use common sense. Yet my building says after 7pm and before 9am it was fine! read more

The MA Predatory Towing Law protects people from shady towing companies that case private lots with poorly marked signage and force people to pay exorbitant towing fees while holding their car hostage unless they pay cash. Learn the law and protect yourself. When you do fight them, record everything - they are recording you. Get photos of the lot and the signs, find out from the lot owner who actually called the towing service or if they just "showed up" by coincidence. Tell them you do not have cash or an ATM card (for the machine outside their door) and request they take a credit card. Again, RECORD everything. Then, after you get bamboozled out of your cash, take them to court. They COUNT on working people NOT fighting back. They KNOW it's much more inconvenient to just pay than fight. I fought and I won. The city has terminated its five contracts with Pat's Towing, effective Wednesday, Sept. 11, City Manager Mike O'Brien just announced in an email to city councilors. According to O'Brien, a notice of termination was delivered to Metro Motor Sales Inc., which does business as Pat's Service Center, at 27-33 Shrewsbury St. late Wednesday afternoon. The termination requires five business-day notification, meaning it will go into effect next Wednesday. This is Pat's Towing. Still overcharging with fake surcharges. I made a yelp account just to leave a review for this criminal-run excuse for a business. Horrible, predatory towing practice. These guys prey upon unsuspecting victims who park in open, public lots that do NOT have any parking restriction signs posted. BEWARE if you are a customer of a local establishment in Worcester. These guys will tow your car when you're not looking, drive it less than 10 minutes down the street, and then demand $220 cash. They only accept cash so that there is no paper trail and you cannot dispute this dishonest charge, which should tell you everything you need to know about how they do business. They claim the $220 is a "state-set amount". The Mass.gov website says "Currently, the maximum rate for police-ordered or involuntary towing (from private property) is $132.00 for towing." They tack on $88 of random fees, including an "after-hours" fee when our car was towed at 4:00pm (they are open 24 hours). read more

I pleaded with the tow truck operator to just put the car down. Had no idea Sunday evening after hours is an issue to park where I did. Parked in the lot next to A restaurant where it was not clearly marked " restaurant parking after 5" So after finishing a 180.00 late afternoon lunch 6 friends we realized our car was towed , add 175.00 to the tab...drove away from the impound at 5:05. First problem like this in 25 years , we don't park in private lots , Clearly our issue for not asking as we walked into the restaurant , as we were catching an Uber to retrieve the car the restaurant informed us this happens all the time ..and that the lot was patrolled ....if that is the case a simple sign solves the problem Guess what will never happen again , lots of options to spend money ...no business should allow this to happen unless the lot owner is preying on the establishments customers. On Jan 1 2023 my car was towed from my residence because my parking permit expired on 12/31/2022. I had the new permit in my vehicle and was putting it on that day. Pats aka Patriots towing towed my vehicle they stock out parking lot numerous times on a daily basis. So they know the cars that have permits.The sign states no parking without permit. It does not indicate expired valid just parking permit which was on my vehicle. On top of that they charge a after hours fee when literally I was there a hour after my vehicle was towed and it was 1:30 in afternoon on a holiday. They have towed several tenants car that have permits. It is so disgusting and such a scam that they are doing this to hard working people and also that live there and pay to live there. My boyfriend even had a conversation with one of the tow truck drivers before this and they exchanged numbers and the tow truck driver asked his to call when he sees a car without a permit. This place had their license to tow taken away and yet just towed my car (in a very shady way) I had to make a business page for their new place "Pat's Service Center" adjacent to Sunoco (same owners) at 5 Shrewsbury St. next to Union Station in Worcester. Reporting to BBB. Not sure how they are legally operating if they were closed down previously. Extremely shady and now I'm out 150$ for parking in a lot right in front of Quinsigamond Community College for an event .. appears to belong to the school in every way and yet apparently (said by "Pats") it belongs to an apartment complex called "The Grid" despite NO SIGNAGE. The guy working tries to act the victim saying he doesn't know a thing and "a resident called" despite literally dozens of free parking spaces.
