Abe's was the nearest open shop and they were nice enough to look at my car as soon as I got in. The owner was willing to quickly order parts and get the car fixed by the next day. But instead, he showed me how to use my credit card's rental insurance to cover the repairs for free through the rental car agency. Abe's went out of their way to help me, even when it meant money out of their pocket.

The most frustrating part is I left him a list and ask him to call me when he got to the shop so I could clarify what I wanted done, which he didn't because "he didn't have time." Just not a whole lot of respect for a new customer. He doesn't work on tires or underneath the dashes which were not communicated to me beforehand. He changed the oil and the serpentine belt when it didn't even need it. For charging 100 dollars an hour for service that was unwarranted, I wouldn't reccomend creech auto.

Jim (owner) and the rest of Powers listened to me, and then actually looked for the root causes of the leaks, fixing the issue for 1/3 of what the dealer had quoted. I have lived in many states and cities, and finding a mechanic of this size who isn't a corporate owned entitiy is hard. To find one that treats me honestly is even better. A two weeks later my speedometer transmitter on the transmission went out (14 year old car). They got me in right away, and demonstrated strong capability in the repair and diagnosis, as well as how they treated me. Finding a mechanic shop of this level that is also ethical, and about customer relationship building is few and far between, part of a dying breed. I will be back to Powers for all repairs while I live in the Lexington area.
