I'm leaving a one-star review because I feel I was taken advantage of through lack of disclosure…read morewhen purchasing a derated trailer for my for-hire business. At the time of sale, Big Tex staff knew I was operating commercially and for hire, yet did not clearly explain what derating the trailer would mean in practical terms -- specifically how much it would severely limit usable payload, despite the trailer being physically capable of more. As a business owner, I relied on the dealership's expertise to explain the implications of the product they were selling. After realizing the impact this has had on my operations, I reached out multiple times by email seeking guidance or a solution. I was eventually told the trailer could not be re-rated, leaving me stuck with equipment that does not meet my business needs -- something that could have been avoided with full transparency at the time of purchase. I'm not accusing Big Tex of doing anything illegal, but I do believe they failed to properly inform a commercial customer about the real-world consequences of buying a derated trailer. This has caused unnecessary financial and operational hardship for my business. I strongly recommend that other business owners ask very detailed questions and get everything in writing before purchasing a derated trailer from this location.

Absolutely worst experience ever.......I went into this place over a month and a half ago to…read morepurchase a new dump trailer I researched online and found they are a local to me dealer..... upon arrival it started off bad the salesman tried selling me a red dump trailer "quoting" the trailer we were looking at was orange......... I'm glad I'm not color blind it was burnt red we were looking at he was trying to pass off as orange ........after agreeing to a price and special ordering the trailer I wanted and paying cash I had to wait a few weeks to get my orange heavy duty dump trailer and that's perfectly acceptable when you get a quality product but....that's when things went even more wrong besides having the lying salesman from the beginning.... which I should've taking that as a note to step away once my trailer came in........doing a visual inspection it was all bad the hydraulic dump did not work the bulldog coupling did not work the doors did not open worth a dang. After all these issues the dealership knows and agrees to fix them they order the parts for me I take my trailer back a week later after the parts come in they have to send my trailer out to get the part welded on because they are not an actual repair facility......when they sent my trailer out to get the part welded on they grabbed and installed the wrong trailer hitch coupling they install the wrong size and non- heavy duty one on a heavy duty trailer so after waiting another week or so for the manufacture to send the proper one out and to get that cluster F fixed I need to get some touch up paint and I also need to get the actual dump trailer fixed since there was a wiring problem and it was not working I took the trailer twice to the dump and both times it did not work I end up having to install a new grounding strap on the trailer myself to make proper contact for the pump to work it's just bad quality control not the dealers fault BUT THE WAY THE DEALER HANDLED THE SITUATION IS.....AND SHAME ON THEM. Yes it was a bad experience from the dealership and it was bad experience from the salesman every which way was a bad experience from this place I spent close to $10,000 cash which they were happy to take but good luck trying to get any customer service any follow-through any communication or any customer service they completely lack I will never buy a piece of equipment from utility trailers direct again or for banning RV which is their parent company I hope this stops other people from spending their hard-earned money from this place because they are just crooks and they do not stand behind their products or there services be WARNED go somewhere else

POOR REPAIRS AND DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM Heater problems…read moreSuburban NT 12S. last October I took it in and they replaced the parts in the picture shown and cost almost $600.00. They told me it would be cheaper to repair than to replace. A new one is $1,500.00. It only blows cold air. took it back and they said there's another part that needs to be replaced. When I questioned the first repair RICHARD kicked me out of his shop not to come back. Blessing in disguise. They stole money from me. I also showed them a part I needed on the back of the toilet. They said they had to take toilet out and it would take 1-1/2 to repair. It just needed a washer coming from the plumbing. I bought a washer for .35 and spend 10 minutes on the repair. After a 7 hour drive to get there, they spent 10 minutes looking at the unit and said bring back another time and we will repair. We pleaded with them to leave it there so that we didn't have to make another 14 hour round trip just to drop it off. (Their lot is giant and had acres of space) We were very polite and respectful. The service manager was beyond rude and after we escalated to the manufacturer and had them talk to the service manager, he agreed to let us leave it, but was rude about it. We picked the unit up repaired several months later and they charged us to fill both our twin propane tanks which had been filled when we purchased it and we had only used the two burner stove once. Apparently he felt we had to pay for something. The older owners while they seemed nice, didn't seem to have much of an interest in customer service.
