Look out for the price change. When asked how much a pedi was they told me $ 35.00. After all was said and done, they charged me 50.00. They said it was extra for gel and flowers. I never asked for the 2 flowers and when they asked for me to pick a color, why not note the test chips that are gel. My friend was told that it would be $15.00 for lip and chin wax for her Grandmother. Once they got the 93 year old down on the table, the worker told them that she had to charge extra because of the length of her hair. She said she was story, that the owner was telling her to up the price. This is so wrong. Please don't go and give them any money. Seriously awful pedicure, bottom of my feet were left scraped up and peeling still, very rude woman and lazy service. A couple file strokes here and a couple rubs on the leg and lousy paint job. I started going here for pedicures and they cut my big toe nails incorrectly causing my toe nails to get ingrown. They'd always mess with it and poke around, very painful. After last time, I developed cellulitis in both big toes, and it was extremely painful. Went to a podiatrist, taking major antibiotics and if left untreated, can be deadly! I have been coming to Carson Nails for years (even when it was located down next to Baskin Robbins in Carson City). I love their work. I get so so SO many compliments on my nails each and every time I get them done. The owner (Vivian) is the nail-tech I go to and she does outstanding work. Designs that even people in the nail world ask me where I go! She can do just about any design and if you aren't pleased she will make sure you are even if it means re-doing all your nails. If you want exceptional nails I would go to this shop! I am very particular with my nails and have yet to find a shop that even comes close to the work they do! I only came here because I had a gift certificate. I will NOT be back. Every single employee was rude to not just me but everyone in there. The nail tech I had was super rough and just made it seem like I was such an inconvenience. Then he filed my nails so much he made my cuticle bleed. Then continued to try to file the same spot!!! I called and booked appointment for 4 pedicures. On the day of appointment we showed up, before scheduled time. There were no other customers getting pedicures. Three out of the four were treated roughly. One was scolded because she had glitter on toes. The staff made us feel like we were not welcomed. This has to be the absolutely dirtiest nastiest salon I have ever been in. It's kind of dark so I didn't catch on to that. All I wanted was a polish change, they have a small selection of really really old polishes. But I had time to kill so I picked one out and went forward. The middle-aged Asian man who did my nails did literally the worst job ever. I am also posting pictures, which I really didn't realize until I got out in the sunlight. There are bubbles all over them, streaks, he put the polish up onto my cuticles. I literally will go straight home and take the polish off. I am going to turn the shop into the health board. He keeps his 'tools' in an old Sucrets box and a nasty plastic container on the floor. I'm sure his cuticle scissors have probably never been cleaned. There's clutter everywhere. I noticed all the pedicure chairs have cracked and falling apart vinyl seats. I observed an Asian woman who was washing the lunch dishes in the sink where you wash your hands. The only reason I'm giving one star is for the location. This is the worst mani pedi I've ever had and the staff are so unpleasant . The lady's that work there talk to each other constantly in Vietnamese and don't talk to there client at all. This makes for a very uncomfortable environment . My feet were soked in cold water and done so guickly with no attention to detail at all . The polish is uneven and on my skin in lots of places. Polish chipping off three toes the very next day. The mani is worse than the pedi. My hands and feet don't look or feel like i just had them done. This place is crap. Waste of time and money. I went with my my mom for a nice girls day out and it was horrid. They didn't give her what she wanted and they weren't careful with the tools, giving us all sorts of cuts. Very pricy and the nails aren't that great. They have really bad customer service at this place, I don't understand how they have so many people going through there. Also when I was going to pay, $150 for both my mom and me btw very expensive for such a job, the lady asked for a tip and since I wasn't too happy with the results I have her $10. The ladies are great here Vivian and Cindy always do a great job !! Cindy does eyebrows perfect they also offer full body waxing.. Vivian can do any designs .. I show here a picture of what I want and she does it exactly as the picture. Love them.. I live in gardnerville and will drive here to Carson to see them.. never have a broken nails nails stay one for a good month.. did I mention they are always busy ? Buyer beware for eyelash extensions. $50 sounded too good to true and it was. They looked good. It ends there. There were globs of glue on my inner eyelid that I could feel every time I blinked. My eyes after 24 hours didn't stop watering and were very red. I went back in to have them removed because clearly my eyes weren't very happy. Now you would think the lady would be sorry and apologetic. Nope! Used some kind of liquid to melt the glue and it burned like crazy. She snapped at ME saying I shouldn't close my eye all the way. Really??? Went thru hell getting them off and seems like a lot of my natural lashes were sacrificed as well. Lesson learned. Want eyelash extensions? Go pay $150 instead of $50. Your eyes are worth it. The lady clearly couldn't have cared less. Not offered a refund but didn't ask for one. She could have at least offered the $10 tip back!! Oh and while I was there for a mani/pedi the pedi was only about 1/2 of what it used to be and the mani went on WHILE the lady was glueing extensions on. After 4 years I'm done with this salon. I had no issues on communication and was treated very hospitable..I did get knicked a couple times but mistakes do happen and I wasnt dissapointed on quality of nail art. Being it was new years eve,everyone and their momma was walking into the shop..so it was busy but they handled it in a timely manner. I will be back in the future. Highly recommend this shop! I drive an hour all the way from South Lake to come to this salon. All of the ladies are friendly and very professional. The owner Vivian will make SURE you are taken care of. I destroy my nails, and every time I come in I leave with perfect nails again. I'm not sure what the bad reviews on here are about.... If polish came off anybody's nails in an hour ( even in 24 hours) Carson nails would be more than happy to fix them! Can't say enough good- give this place a visit. I went there yesterday and there was only one customer. I went for a gel fill and was told 2 weeks prior that the nails were in bad shape and next time I come in get a new set. They were only 2 week old nails and they are the ones who did them. So I wasn't surprised when she took them off. I was there 2 hrs and 45 minutes. They let 3 customers go in front of me as I sat and watched them do the others. I didn't leave until 7:20 that night, after closing!! What a joke, I will never go back. The owner started my nails and nicked my finger 3 times. One is a cut. She just lost her mom and was showing me her funeral from Vietnam which was live footage. I have personally never had any of those problems there. Ive been getting my nails done by the owner since I was in my teens (which was awhile ago....) My nails always look good, they dont break and I have no problem communicating with them. I also make sure I have an appointment, when you're a walk in, you are going to have to wait. Thats how it goes. Ive also never had any type of medicine or anything else applied by any of the ladies that work there....then again Ive never had a pedicure where they've done that. I started going there because it was convenient and between my work and home. I went for a gel polish change and my first pedi with them over a week ago with my daughter. I got right in for the pedi but it was the most painful experience ever. They used the scrapers that have been outlawed by the Nevada Board and scraped me so much I can still barely walk on my heels. One of them has cracked and my feet are very tender. I am still waiting for my heels to calous over again so I can wear flats. Cutting cuticles and pushing was also very painful. I really thought it was supposed to be a "SPA" experience! I think I will continue to use Dayton Nails by my house from now on. read more

This nail salon is terrible. After 5 days all of my nails were lifting. Went back to get a refund and they wouldn't refund my money. The lady who redid my nails kept cutting my fingers and making me bleed. They were very angry about having to redo my nails and the lady was very forceful and pushy. Very rude and unprofessional. My daughter (11) and I stopped in because it was close to where we needed to run errands in Carson City. The younger girl who gave my daughter a pedicure was nice and did a good job. The older woman who worked on me could have cared less. Never said hello. Never spoke a word of English to me. She kept pushing a flyer at me, pointing at a bunch of services that didn't have prices next to them. (She was trying to upsell me.) I kept politely saying, "No thank you." She frowned at me and just threw it down. Overall it was just a very rushed experience. Thankfully my daughter was happy with the outcome and neither of us got hurt. I definitely wouldn't go back. My daughter ended up taking her feet out of the water because they were water logged from an hour in the tub. The women were nice but definitely overwhelmed with customers.
