If I could give zero stars I would. I am new to the area walked in without an appointment and there was one worker. She didn't have any customers in the store. When I walked in she greeted me and when she asked what I wanting I told her dipping powder, and she said she didn't have time. I then asked for gel nails and she said only appointments. I have been going to Hannah at Asian nails for a year, she is fabulous. This is a family run business for over 17 years. Tram is the owner and everyone there is so nice and accommodating. The salon is open 7 days a week with many evening hours to accommodate people who work. They are observing the covid protocol but always practiced the highest cleanliness. They are highly skilled and their prices are beyond affordable. If you break a nail there Is no extra charge. I highly recommend their pedicures as well. Called around 10am on a Saturday and made an appointment for 2 pedis at 3:30pm with no problem and very polite! Easy to find next to Baskin Robbins in mid Carson with easy parking. Very clean little joint with lots of chairs for pedis and nice massage chairs! Great selection of colors both gel and regular. And they can do amazing designs that you pull of google! The pedi itself was very relaxing, nice long massage, and warm towel, they really get all the calluses off too, and don't pick till it hurt like other places. The design was done perfectly that I picked and my mom liked her paint job too! Other notes, great prices! 25 dollar pedis! We have been here twice before today. One of my new rules going forward is "many visits before a review." Naturally, there will be exceptions. Yelp sent me a note saying I needed to write this up. I don't know that we've seen and experienced enough to provide solid, beneficial information; I can only relay our personal situation. It started with a mishap at a large box store that does nails before you shop. All I know is the problem was corrected on our first visit to Asian Nails. Mrs. E. wasn't to thrilled to learn that she must make an appointment and keep it. Walk-ins don't work very well. But when you weigh that against the incredible job Cathy does, it's totally worth it. Asian Nails performed exemplary work and showed the utmost courtesy, throughout. Very impressive. They're truly artists here. I've never seen designs like these before. While I'm not a "nail expert" I wholeheartedly recommend you try Asian nails when in the lower Carson area. They're on the east side of S. "RUDE" is not scheduling a potential new client and barely acknowledging their presence when they enter your establishment. Walked in and asked if they had any appointments avail. Without looking at a schedule book or asking if I could come later or tomorrow, they said "No.". When I asked if I could make an appointment for later, one of the three working said I'd "have to call." Really? I'm standing in your shop. So, I took out my cell and called. When the lady who answered saw it was ME (standing in the shop) she called me rude. Please be warned. I was a customer for over a year. Pedicure only. At my last visit, the owner was extremely rude. It appeared that a fungal infection was starting in my nail bed. I've been a happy customer of Asian Nails for 14 years. I don't get my nails done religiously but I'm happy with the service everytime I'm there. It urks me to see an out-of-stater come in without an appointment during a pandemic and expects to get seen that day. And then to write a nasty review? Your state is shut down, what do you expect our state's situation would be like? Surprise! There are restrictions here too. I have to make an appointment two weeks prior, what makes you so entitled? I went into Asian nails yesterday and got a pedicure, they rushed and I hated what they painted on my toes! My 15 year old sister could have done a much better job than they did! I went in the next day and had a nail appointment and I wanted acrylic nails. They told me they didn't have enough time, so I got a manicure. A definite waste of time and money! Again my 15 year old sister could have done a WAY better job than they did. I don't know why I went in the second day. In my opinion, don't waste your money there; it is not worth it AT ALL. Nice shop with a lot of hours available. Clean and TV is on. My pedis have been relaxing. I have acrylic fills and manicures mainly and I always have little polish spots or excess fill material that I have to take off when I get home. One girl understands very little English so I changed nail techs to get better results. You have to be very specific about your shape, your length or adding cuticle oil but overall my nails look nice. It is a family business so be prepared to hear "Baby Shark" and "Old MacDonald Had A Farm". Too bad they advertise that "Walk-Ins Are Welcome" because I have never seen one accepted. Much cleaner than WalMart and I don't leave hoping to avoid an infection. Nothing spectacular but good people charging a good price. read more

I have absolutely fell in love with this place. I've gone to 5 other nail places in the Carson/Reno area and every time I was majorly disappointed. I came in to Asian Nails and Cathy took such good care of me I wanted to cry. I would recommend this place to anyone.
