Don't go to Walmart! Come here. Walmart can't do any special designs and they don't have stickers!! I came in and was welcomed and got a seat very quickly on a Wednesday at 12:00pm. I picked out my color and a tiger fish and Nemo stickers for my pedi. I sat in the comfy chairs, while they are working on my feet right now. I've been here about a dozen times and always leave happy. Second favorite nail shop in the area. (Fav is in the Costco parking lot in Reno) both are the same price as Walmart, 25 for a pedi, 5 for special design. The give you a foot massage and clean up all your cuticles. They really get in deep and try to make it look super pretty. Which is always nice when you spend a fair amount to have your toes look good all year round. They also have gel to note. read more

I should have believed the other reviews. This place is dirty. Pedicure was mediocre and overpriced. Also they sort of acted like you're bothering them when you say the water is scalding. Something nice: it's next to Trader Joe's so you can go shopping when you're done. read more

Don't waste your time here unless you plan on being a regular. Only the regulars get good service. My aunt was in town for my birthday and wanted to get mani pedis so I called and made an appointment for first thing the next morning. Once we arrived we picked our colors and went right to the pedicure chairs. The water was nice and hot but they didn't add anything into it. I'd never been somewhere that didn't add salts or bibles or oils so I thought it was weird. They didn't ask what kind of service we wanted so we assumed there was just the one they offered. It took us 15 minutes from when we sat down to putting our sandals back on. They did minimal scrubbing/rubbing and slapped polish on as fast as they could. It's uneven and you can see the strokes. Then we head over to the manicure chairs and the lady doing my aunts nails tells her she has to wait for the lady doing mine to finish and do hers because she had an appointment coming in. My aunt then said "but we made an appointment. Why am I having to wait for someone else" and the lady responded "not my problem". Once my lady heard that, she stopped cleaning up my nails and jumped right into slapping polish on my nails. One finger is only 80% polished and she left so much on my fingers. She didn't clean up any of the mistakes and smudged one nail while trying to clean up her station to do my aunts. My aunt watched her rush through my nails and decided she didn't want to get hers done anymore and told the lady never mind. So we paid and left. It was $60 for her pedicure and my mani/pedi. You definitely get what you pay for here. This place was referred to me by some family friends so I decided to ignore the Yelp reviews before coming since I trusted them. They're regulars and come in all the time so I'm assuming, that's how you get good service. read more

Worst $60 Mani Pedi of my life! That's right! $60 + tip! I wanted something special for my wedding nails, not only did they shoot down my ideas they did gel polish on my hands after I specified I only wanted a regular French manicure. Hence they wanted to charge more for that. The $5 extra flower on my toes was hardly noticeable. All the nail ridges were not filed down and my nails did not look smooth. Just painted over. And! When I asked why they had done the gel polish without asking she sited the fact that she has added the free stones to my ring fingers as a "gift" and the gel polish would help them last longer. The stones & gel polish lasted a whole 4, yes 4 days! I was on my honeymoon, not home or work washing dishes and the polish still came off! Not happy at all. After complaining about the high amount they wanted, they promised me $10 off on my next visit. No thanks!! Not coming back here except to show them their shoddy work. read more

I was a walk-in on a Tuesday afternoon. After I picked out my color & sat down, I proceeded to wait for 15 minutes with my feet in barely lukewarm water, while two other woman who were also walk-ins were serviced first. The lady hardly spoke to me and after I asked her to be nice to my recently healed broken toe, she tugged on it like all the others & I had to limp out of there. On the plus side, it was clean. You don't get greeted at the door, no one even looks your way. We made an appointment and arrived 30 minutes early to see if they could accommodate us. When someone came to the counter she seemed to indicate they were busy so we went to the store next door and came back 5 minutes ahead of our appointment to find they'd taken the walk-in that had come in just behind us earlier. Again, no acknowledgment of our arrival. Dad got put in a chair in a shallow bit of cold water. We were told the woman helping him would get back to him. It made no sense that we waited while a walk-in was served ahead of us. I spoke up about the shallow cold tub and got a rush job on my pedicure and a messy manicure. I had nail polish on my fingers when I left. The more I think of it, the more I wish we'd just walked out on our first impression. We'll find somewhere more client friendly. read more

This place doesn't even deserve a star. Don't get your nails done at this place! Don't waste your money or your time. We walk into this place requesting a manicure and pedicure. This Vietnamese lady wearing oversize heals with an attitude stares at us. Then she asks us what we need with her broken English. I sit in the pedi-spa for at least 30 minutes before someone removes my nail polish. Then, I waited 15 more minutes before the gal with the headset starts to cut up my toes with the cuticle trimmer. OUCH! She puts medicine on it and doesn't even apologize! She continues to srape my feet with the blade, all the while talking crap about their other customers as they usually do in their own language. When it's all over, she tells me " if you want to go, then go". I'm thinking HUH? WTF does she mean by that? And she proceeds to another customer. Everyone including the girls she works with were bewildered. One even wondering why she didn't ring me up. What about my manicure? Needless to say, she didn't get a tip. Then I tell my husband about it and he walks back into the shop and bitches her out! Overall, this was the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. Wow. I can honestly say I understand how Melnikai (First To Review) feels about this place. I've gone here several times and have never been pleased with product and service. Upon arrival, I always feel uncomfortable with my inability to communicate with the ladies who work here - they are generally very sweet, but I find it difficult to tell them what/how I want my nails. I once stopped in for a simple manicure, no polish, and although I specifically said that to the manicurist, she insisted on putting a layer of clear varnish on my fingers. I like the prices ($12 for a manicure, $35 for mani/pedi) but I'd rather go to Wal-mart for better service. read more

I just had one of the best pedicures I've ever experienced. I had the pleasure of having Helen do my nails. She is young, but she did great work. She paid incredible attention to detail. We couldn't believe how expensive some shops charged for a regular pedicure and performed a mediocre job until we found Carson Nails. Cindy is a new owner (previously from Walmart), and she's excellent in working on my ingrown toe nails. I came in on 6/8/2020 with painful big toes due to lots of hiking, Cindy spent an hour + working on my toes fixing and trimming them to the correct shapes to prevent ingrown in the future. She kept asking me to let her know if I feel anything pain while she was working on the nails. Cindy saved me ~ $300 for a podiatrist visit. I got seated in a service chair right away and was pretty happy they were able to get right to me.... or I thought that was the case. Ended up waiting a solid 15 minutes before someone finally told me it would be another 10. A total of 30 minutes later I'm seen by someone who then bounced back and forth with me and another lady doing both of our nails. I wanted pink, pink glitter and white. She argued with me that where is that even going to go on my nails. I gave up and settled with two colors instead. This was my first time here, and it was not a great experience. I got French acrylic nails, but there was many times during it that she kept hurting me! My cuticle was bleeding, and it was pretty pricey for the service I had. She only spoke a few words to me, even though I tried to talk to her. My nails are pretty, but not perfect. Look out for the price change. When asked how much a pedi was they told me $ 35.00. After all was said and done, they charged me 50.00. They said it was extra for gel and flowers. I never asked for the 2 flowers and when they asked for me to pick a color, why not note the test chips that are gel. My friend was told that it would be $15.00 for lip and chin wax for her Grandmother. Once they got the 93 year old down on the table, the worker told them that she had to charge extra because of the length of her hair. She said she was story, that the owner was telling her to up the price. This is so wrong. Please don't go and give them any money.
