I usually do my own nails. I am a licensed Cosmetologist and am extremely picky. But, once in a while I want to get pampered a little. I have been extremely disappointed at the 2 other nail places(which I won't mention) that I have been to in this area. I didn't feel the quality was there for what I paid. A few months ago, my neighbor mentioned that she goes to Jeanette at Minden Nails. I took a mental note and stashed it. My husband's company party was they next day and I wanted my nails to look nice. I called Jeanette on Thursday afternoon and lucky for me she had a cancellation for Friday morning. Walking in, I was immediately greeted. The salon was extremely clean and bright. I was early, so I had time to look through all her color options. Wow, so many options. I had an idea of what I wanted, and coincidentally the lady ahead of me was getting exactly what I wanted. She started me on time!(Great time management) She is very positive and interested in getting to know me. We had a great conversation and I can tell she is a genuinely a good person! I paid $25 for a gel manicure that looks like I let my daughter paint them. No cuticle, no lotion, no soak, just sanded down my nails and slapped some uneven gel (the acrylic type that ruins your nails). Didn't even clean up the sides. I then went straight to another salon to fix them. Bummer. read more

I'm writing this 5 weeks later because my nails STILL look good. I get my nails done once a year (maybe?) and stopped here on my way to the Reno airport. I called that morning for an appointment and was able to get one that evening. Roe was so kind and amazing. She did a thorough job on my nails and toes all while holding a wonderful conversation. If I lived in the area she could have converted me to a person who gets their nails done regularly. read more

This place seriously messed up my nails. I got them done in october and they still havent budged. i had to PRY THEM OFF myself because the owner wouldnt call me back. every time i called to schedule an appointment for a fill or even a removal there was no answer. the whole thing was incredibly unprofessional and the lady who did my nails told me way more than i needed to know about her personal life resulting in my first appointment taking ~3 hours to finish. read more

Jeanette was great. My nails look fantastic. She did a pretty fall design with sunflowers over my acrylics. I had gone to the nail salon in Walmart last iand was really disappointed. Jeanette uses much better product and is very friendly and professional. Her shop is very nice too. She will be my go-to person from now on. read more

Not the best visit. My friend and I decided to try this place out and was treated very poorly by Nicci. She made rude comments throughout the appointment and did an awful job on my friend's nails. She was very harsh on our nails and made my friend bleed. I had a deep cut in my thumb and she did not use the correct sparkle color for my nails. I'm new to the area and have been looking for a good pedicurist. I called Minden Nails and was told only Nikki did them. First off there wasn't much choice of polish colors and I didn't know if they were a good quality polish. She gave me a plastic nail swatches. I noticed how long her nails were, about 2 inches long! I asked how she could work with those claws?? This most likely set the tone for the rest of the appointment. She was very rough and abrupt! She seemed in a hurry and was not taking cues from me pulling back and jumping in pain. Then she cut my cuticle and I said ouch! She gave me an insincere apology, and she acted like I was faking it. Then I showed her where she made me bleed! She put a strangle hold on each toe and those claw were poking the adjacent toes! The one highlight was the long foot massage but once again she doesn't know her own strength and it was painful at times. She had adjusted the pedicure chair closer to her and when she started the massage part she asked if I wanted to be moved back. I didn't want to be a problem so I said I'm fine. Halfway through the massage I asked to be adjusted back. She barked "That's why I asked you!".. Jeeze!! Lastly both she and the other nail tech had dueling music on! One had bubble gum top 20's radio station with commercials and all, she had nicer instrumental music playing. The two going on together was anything but relaxing! It was very distracting! I won't be going back and I hope she reads her reviews and learns from this review. read more

this is by far the worst nail salon i've ever been to. my nails look like they were done by a 10 year old amd i would nog recommend this place at all. she used grinders on my hands and made me bleed in 3 spots. my gel manicure and grandmas pedicure also took 2.5 hours. we had nikki and she was also rude the whole time throwing my hand around snd making rude comments the whole time. was so uncomfortable. EDIT:after writing this review she proceeded to call me and tell me i was being untruthful and that she didn't cut me nor take 2.5 hours, didn't offer an condolences or offer to fix them, when i walked in again to get them fixed she yelled at me and called me a liar until i just walked out. read more

My daughter and I had our nails done for my Birthday. Nikki did both our nails! She was in a hurry and she cut my finger with a nail file. She wouldn't let me wash it with soap and water. I didn't want an infection from all the dust going in my cut. She put nail glue because I was bleeding. She called her client in front of me and told her that she is 30 minutes behind and then turned to me and told me that she needs 30 minutes extra because I wanted a French manicure. I initially went in with a picture of something else but she said she didn't have the right stuff to do that, so that's when I said a French manicure. Unprofessional, in a hurry and rude! I am very upset considering I booked an appointment just prior to a wedding, I show up for my appointment and The lady looks at me and says who are you. She didn't pencil me in and totally rebooked my slot and then blamed it on me like I didn't schedule the appointment on the phone with her A week in advance. She didn't try to make up for the mistake and just tried to send me elsewhere. Very poor at customer service considering she screwed up the appointment. read more

Chanda and Jeanette have amazing skills. They can do anything you ask for. They are reasonably priced and I never have to wait. I see Chanda every 2 weeks and they will fill in for each other if needed. Great service, nice atmosphere, a coffee if you need it, lots of colors to choose from. There is a new woman in there now and she must be good because she has been there a while now and Jeanette wouldn't keep someone who wasn't skilled and nice. Highly recommend. read more
