I am extremely frustrated with the level of service I received…read more I dropped my car off the night before with a scheduled appointment at 8:00 AM, expecting a simple and quick service, just replacing two tires. I was told the process should take about an hour, and that I would receive a call when my car was ready. It is now 10:00 AM, and not only has the work not been completed, but no one even bothered to contact me with an update. When I followed up, I was told the delay was because you "couldn't find the tire lock." That is unacceptable. Instead of calling me to resolve a simple issue, I had to take an Uber back to the shop myself, only to show your staff that the tire lock was exactly where I originally said it was, in the glove compartment. To make matters worse, after all this delay, I arrive to see mechanics on break, outside smoking, while my car still hasn't been worked on. This is completely unprofessional and shows a lack of respect for customers' time. I planned my morning around this appointment and still have work obligations to get to. What should have been a straightforward, one-hour job has now turned into a major 4 HOUR inconvenience due to poor communication and lack of urgency. This level of service is unacceptable. I expect better accountability, communication, and respect for scheduled appointments moving forward. I can now see why your rating is 2.2! This experience has been incredibly disappointing. Do not come here!!!

I made an appointment in the afternoon and went in just before it was supposed to be, and saw that all the bays in the garage were full, so I was hopeful but not fully confident I'd be getting in and out quickly. The gentleman at the counter, Fernando, assured me that they'd get me in, so I went ahead with it. After giving him my keys, I went across the street to pick up some groceries while waiting, then headed right back. While approaching the shop, I was hoping not to see my car still parked outside, but to my surprise, not only was it inside, it was being lowered. I walked in, and a few minutes later, I was all good to go. All done within half an hour! Also, while they'll certainly make suggestions, they don't do high-pressure up-selling, which I appreciate.

I took my vehicle (2004 Lincoln Town Car) to Meineke on 1745 N. Olden Ave in Trenton on 4/20 for an…read moreoil change at 10:30 am. They performed the oil change and returned the vehicle with no recommendations for any additional service. The next day I took the car for an inspection and was informed that there was a temp plug in my oil tank. This was a surprise to me. So, I immediately went back to Meineke.  If the temp plug was in the vehicle when I bought it in for service, the mechanic would have noticed it as soon as he had the car suspended. He would have informed me that there was a temp plug and that I would need a new oil tank, before doing any work on the car.  This did not happen. It appears that the mechanic stripped the screw and plugged the oil tank without my knowledge when performing the oil change.  I spoke with the Manager, and he advised that there was nothing in the report, so there may have been a miscommunication.  This just proves my theory, that the mechanic made an error and tried to cover it up by plugging it and not reporting it.  Which is why it wasn't in the report. Had things been handled properly on either scenario there should have been a conversation. Scenario 1: The mechanic noticed a plug in the tank. The mechanic advises the customer of the plug and recommends a new oil tank prior to performing the oil change. If the customer declines; at least they are aware that the temp plug will be placed back in the tank and the tank would need to be replaced down the road.  This would be in the report. Scenario 2: The mechanic stripped the screw while performing the oil change. He inserts a temp plug and advises the customer. The mechanic should then add that to his report, so the Manager would be aware of the mistake, and they should decide to replace the customers oil pan at no charge to him. Neither one of these scenarios happened.  They expect me to believe that the temp plug was on the vehicle when I bought it to them, and the mechanic just performed the oil change without mentioning the plug or including the observation of said plug in the report. The manager offered to give me a discount the next time I come in for service.  This is unacceptable. I would never go back to this Meineke for any type of service and would not recommend that anyone else gets their vehicle serviced there.  The only acceptable resolution is for them to own their mistake and replace my oil pan.

If you have ever brought your car to another shop and you randomly have more problems than when you went in, this is the shop for you. If they think they are slick and try to pile on extra charges, union line is the place for you. Best customer service I've seen from a repair shop. Also very quick, clean, but thorough work. Very honest, even told me there are current problems that don't need to be fixed at the moment to save me money(when they could have made the bill larger if they wanted to). Even washed my car when they were done!

Several Bad Experiences - Lack of Accountability and Care…read more I brought my car in for a major repair, spending over $3,500. Six months later, the same issue reappeared. When I returned, they claimed it was a "different component" and charged me another $3,000+. No ownership of the original work or offer to make things right. I left the car with them for 4 weeks while I was traveling--plenty of time for repairs. When I returned, the onboard computer system (which was working when I dropped it off) was completely dead. They insisted I pick up the car as-is and blamed water damage--despite the fact that the computer is nowhere near the leak near the rearview mirror. Their refusal to repair what they clearly damaged was unacceptable. Worse, I'm not alone. A friend had a similar experience--months of back-and-forth before getting a proper fix. This garage takes your money, refuses responsibility, and leaves you worse off. Avoid.
