They charged too much for the 3 month oil change and I was very disappointed you see I don't have much money and I am used to only spending $40 and they charged about $89 dollars for oil change and filter so next time I will go to Monroe tires which charges $39.99 for the basic oil change which is much better. read more

I've had 2 repairs done here recently and am happy with the service. They were recommended by another repair shop that specializes in transmissions which I originally thought was the cause of my first repair. For the first job I had to wait a few days to bring in so it's a good idea to call ahead to see how quickly they can get to your car. Once I dropped it off it was completed in 24 hours as they said it would be. The mechanics that I've dealt with there all provide great info on what is being done, as well as what they notice may be needed in the future. I really felt like they not only cared about what they do, they also cared about the customer service that goes into a successful business. Although I hope it will be quite some time, I'll definitely be back as the need arrives. read more

First appointment was due to a referral from A-Z radiator Service. Wanted to have the brake fluid changed. Made the appointment and couldn't be happier with the whole experience. Owner was friendly, knowledgeable and personable. Priced this service at the Acura dealership, more than $160. J & B, same service, I think it was under $70. Great service, honest shop, fair price. If only 0 stars was possible. It has unfortunately taken me quite some time to get around to writing this review. With everything going on, I found myself with some down time and thought it should be known how absolutely terrible my experience with this place was. A friend of mine who worked for Snap On highly recommended I bring my 300zx twin turbo here. He assured me that the owner and technicians "specialized" in turbo vehicles and that I would be in good hands. Take into consideration that my car is extremely difficult to work on and many techs will not touch it. I brought my car there with high hopes after speaking to the owner on the phone. He said it wouldn't be a problem and bring it in asap. I dropped the car off and was told they would take a look and figure out what it needed and call me. The reason I brought it in in the first place was because it wasn't running properly since I had bought it. After a couple weeks, I called to check on the status and was told when it snowed they had plowed my car into the corner and they wouldn't be able to get to it until the snow melted. I immediately started questioning my decision but my friend who referred me told me not to worry. Finally, they called me and said they had pulled the car in and my best option was to replace the motor. I knew it was going to be expensive but they told me they would be as accommodating as possible. I will say the owner sold my old motor and took it off the final amount due but after speaking to a few mechanic friends, they think he could have gotten more for it. After a few months, the car was finally "finished". All said and done I was charged almost $10K. I could have sold the car and found a better running one for that. The worst part was, the car ran terribly when they gave it back and informed me they don't do tunes but couldn't even recommend a tuner. How do you specialize in turbo vehicles and not know of one tuner?? Then my car shredded the alternator belt off which usually means things arent lined up properly. When I brought the car in for them to see what the problem was, the mechanic who worked on my vehicle was visibly pissed off. Don't take on jobs you aren't capable of doing!! They replaced the belt, told me everything was fine and then the owner said I owed $125 for the belt replacement!! This was the absolute breaking point for me. I just paid almost 10 grand and you are gonna charge me to replace a belt that shouldn't have shredded in the first place??? I gave him $100 which I shouldn't have even done that and told him I would never come back. I found a trustworthy tuner in New York called Z Force. These guys specialize in z's and do a phenomenal job. Weird, someone who says they specialize in something and actually do. They discovered that the guy who put the motor in at J&B did a horrible job. Attached is the conversation about what was done wrong. The entire vacuum system was put together INCORRECTLY. I'm lucky nothing blew up. Completely unprofessional and not worth what I paid. Do NOT bring turbo cars here or any car for that matter. They completely ripped me off. A quality automotive repair shop! They are the most honest and trustworthy mechanics I have ever encountered. Another local shop diagnosed an air conditioning repair, with a quote of around $1000. We brought our car to J&B for another assessment, with the intent to have them complete the repair. Eric, at J&B, took the time to carefully examine and test the system. He identified a simple fix and the entire repair was just over $100. Eric, Bill, and each of the mechanics here, are rock stars. Really! It renews my faith in humanity. There are still good people!
