they sent an electronic estimate which I approved at first, but called immediately after to clarify only an oil change first before the rest I got there my car was on the lift and they were doing all the work I told them when I dropped the car off in the morning that I needed it to go to work later so whether or not I approved the estimate I would come back another day for the rest of the work if it would be past 2pm in the afternoon(dropped it off at 8:10am) I didn't leave with my car till 3pm and was late to work on top of all that bill was 900$ + for an oil change and front brakes lol 1400$-1500$ for front and rear pads and rotors and oil change lol read more

I 'm disappointed with the service. The instructions were clear, yet they were not followed, and the requested work was not done. What's worse, after ignoring the instructions, they still asked if the vehicle needed the very service they failed to perform, this reflects poor attention to detail and lack of responsability. read more

I was recommended to go here from my father, which told me that the work here is good and the customer service is exceptional. I had problems with my car and a check engine like on since 2018, which I avoided getting fixed because I assumed a big dealership would charge me a very shiny penny. The problems worsened so i sucked it up and went to Hamilton Auto Care thinking i would be leaving out broke. My car was fixed in a timely manner, the prices I was quoted weren't bad at all, & the Barry is the name of the gentleman that helped me understand what was being fixed and why. Brought my car here to get repaired and was generally happy with the service I received. I arrived in the early afternoon and they were able to check everything out and tell me what was wrong with my car within a couple of hours. When I brought it in to get repaired (they needed to order a part), they completed that repair within a couple of hours too. Since the repair, we haven't had any issues, so everything is looking good. So why not 5 stars? Well, I did feel like they tried to upsell me slightly, especially with one repair that was very expensive ($1k+) and probably not super urgent. They admitted as much after I inquired / became concerned, but I think they would have been happy for me to just spend the money. Anyway, I wouldn't say they were deceitful in any way, but I think it's important to be careful since costs can really add up quickly. I do think that the repair I got was fairly priced. read more

I can't believe that I have waited so long to do this review! Jasu and his crew are the absolute best. They are friendly, knowledgeable, competent and most of all HONEST! I take both of my cars to JB Tire & Auto for pretty much everything from routine service to major repairs and I have never been disappointed. The only small knock is that they're a small shop, so sometimes the turnaround times aren't quite as fast as the giant dealerships, but they will be straight up with their price and time estimates, and an hour or two is a pretty small price to pay for the quality, cost savings and trustworthiness you will be provided. A certain dealership wanted to charge me over $2000 to repair my a/c (after they had supposedly already "repaired" it the month before). They told me my entire dash needed to be taken out, etc., etc. Brought my car to Hamilton Auto Care instead; just needed a new valve. I took a train all the way from DC to Trenton last Saturday in hopes of purchasing an AMG Benz from a local dealer; looked immaculate from the outside, but heeding the word of my friends and advisors, I decided to take the used 17' AMG to this shop for a pre-inspection. Turns out 3 rims were cracked and 51 error codes popped up. I didn't believe it - the car looked amazing and drove like Lewis Hamilton had broken it in himself; Jose brought me into the shop, pointed out all the interior cracks and when I crunched the numbers, it would have been an easy 3K minimum to replace the rims EVEN before having to address the error codes, which would have amounted to months in the shop and easily another 3-4K to fix depending on what was covered in the warranty. To Jose & Team - you guys just saved me a cool ~7K which I'll use as a downpayment for an honest dealership and a sturdy AMG wherever it might be. Thank you for what you do. read more

I took in my Volvo XC90 for an estimate to fix a humming noise to Honest1 in Lawrenceville in Fall 2019. The Volvo dealership had quoted me an astounding $5000 to fix the rear differential. Not only is that too much to spend on a 2010 SUV but what the heck was the dealership doing wIth maintenance? Their response was "Yeah, that happens with Volvos" Well B.S.! Took it to another garage nearby and they couldn't even properly diagnose the issue. Honest1 was rated highly on Yelp and I am glad I went there next. They quoted me a price that was a fraction of the dealership - they were able to source it from another parts supply store. Granted it's not brand new equipment but I didn't want to spend that much cash on a truck with 125K miles on it. Honest1 called me a few days later telling me that after they put in the differential and the seal wasn't setting right so they want to do the right thing and order a new seal. I liked that they were willing to do the job right and for a few dollars more, ensure the truck would run well. Well, it turned out to be fantastic and the truck has been running great - no annoying humming noise from the rear and no wheel slippage either. Barry even offered me his personal car when there was some delay. I ended up renting a car for a day for golf and Barry knocked the rental cost off the final bill. I took my car in for an oil change that cost over $80.00 and was told I needed new brakes, pads, and rotors all around, they were in VERY bad shape with about a months worth of pads left, and it would cost $1,000. Definitely red flags all around, especially since rear brakes hardly ever need to be replaced, plus there was no squeaking or grinding when applying the brakes. Took the car into another shop and found out the brakes were fine, just needed a cleaning and adjustment on the front! With that and some new wiper blades I paid $125.00. DO NOT use this shop unless you're ready to get ripped off!! read more

Facility is clean and Front desk Jose is friendly. I was in and out as per the appointment so thats plus. I just had odd experience about the pricing mentioned and what i was charged. First call for mount and balance of tire i was told $20 + $2-3 dollors for disposal. Second call when i did for making the appointment i was told $25 including disposal. I mentioned earlier call but still made the appointment. Finally when i checked out i was charged $25 +$3(disposal fee). From $22/tire i ended up paying $28/tire. Its not huge but certainly the communication was not handled well. Hope they become more transparent about the pricing. read more

I am hoping these guys (Jose?) read this and make things right, by calling me, the parent. We had a 2011 Murano in there last week. I called to discuss our Nissan Murano, and their assessment, that my daughter asked me to, since we would be paying. She is in college around there. Story: Began discussion with Jose (? i think). We talked a bit, he gave me a quote, and I asked about using non- OEM parts, and getting a whole diagnostic. He seemed amiable about it. Said sure, to call back tomorrow, he would work up a new quote, and would do a whole assessment and drive at no extra charge. Called the next day, began discussion, put on hold for 22 min, so I hung up, and called 4 more times, each time, put straight to hold. So I emailed thru their site. No call backs, or response. Left car Sat, Tuesday was the 4th day. Could not decide, bc didn't have a new cost he said he would work up, but moreover, he was going to do a full assessment (had only some some assessment), like when you are going to buy a car and want to know everything that is wrong. Plus needed the steering that was loose assessed as to cause and fix price. I was to get a new estimate on Tuesday. They had the car all that time. Did they do a new eval? daughter picked it up maybe Thursday? Daughter needed a safe car. She picked it up unfixed, but paid $130 diagnostic. She went back and got a battery until I could get the whole scoop to figure what to do. They charged her $180 (pricey for an Interstate), and did not take off diagnostic. (usually places take that off if get work/parts). Only had checked the battery charge system, and not sure what they checked of AC system to conclude bad compressor. Need the diagnostics. Really everyone else has great service? I am concerned bc these guys didn't care about my daughters safety, or our time (keeping car for days, me on hold for long time, 3 days) seems to me. Or courtesy to not leave on hold, and if so, how about a call back? They have time to take the money, but not time to discuss the car? I see they do have computer diagnostics. Did they figure if there was a parasitic draw or anything? Not sure they had all the info, like a reprogram was possibly needed, or circuit issue, or the background of when battery started being dead, what work was done bf moved from VA, and codes. Also, the loose driving issue, which IS dangerous. My daughter did not know everything that had been done, and the evac of the refrigerant, so what test was done for the compressor? It will not work if refrig is low. there was imp info i needed to give them! I had all the paperwork, stats, testing done, Nissan issues with the compressor. And I could pay what they ($2200-$2500?) And if there was not a full diagnostic, something else may be discovered! A good honest caring mechanic is indeed a God send. I hope they will make things right, at which point I will reverse this. But I can not get their attention. If any of this is inaccurate will fix it. Thank you. read more

In the last 5 years I always get tires from this place, and I have had my shocks replaced, my motor mounts done, my timing belt replaced, and i just got done with my Car's 200K tune up!!!!!! Took my Audi A4 to JB Tire and Auto today as I believed there was a hole in my exhaust (my car literally sounded like a motorcycle!). They were able to accommodate me even though I came in without an appointment. I ended up leaving my car there so they could diagnosis the problem and had requested they send me a picture of the damage/issue. I ended up getting a response from them within an hour after I had dropped it off along with the requested picture via text. The issue was with the clamps that held the exhaust pipes intact as they had rusted and fallen off. The owner called me after he sent me the picture to explain what work was needed and provided me with a quote on the repairs, which was very reasonably and fairly priced. Additionally, while checking the issue with my exhaust he had noticed the strut on my hood was no longer working and provided me a quote on that repair as well. Note I've been wanting to get this repaired for over 2 years now, but decided against it when Audi quoted me a ridiculous amount. I ended up getting it replaced here for under half of the price Audi quoted me! I ended up picking my car up at the end of the day and both the exhaust clamps and hood strut were perfectly installed. I'm very pleased with the quality of work, customer service, knowledge, and professionalism provided to me today by JB Tire and Auto. I would HIGHLY recommend this shop to anyone that is looking for any sort of auto repair. Oh, and to top it off, the owner called me after I got home to bring to my attention that I was 3 months past due on my inspection. Note his shop does not do inspections but he went out of his way to call me and tell me this. I believe this in a nutshell sums up how well run this place is. Contacted them online for a appointment for an oil change. They responded within a few hours, and I was in and out on the day of my appointment in under an hour. The waiting room was exceptionally clean, and they even offered complimentary bottles of water and cans of coca-cola. I'm so used to mechanic shops trying to get you to pay for other services when you come In, but they had a no-pressure environment that was absolutely refreshing! Awesome job guys! I have used Jasu for years and believe they are truly the best car repair place. I have consistently taken my cars there as well as recommended them to family and friends. They have done oil changes, brakes, tires, spark plugs and struts all on different vehicles for me over the years. Every single time they have done an excellent job and never have they tried to overcharge me in anyway. My loyalty was sealed on my first trip there after a recommendation from a friend. I needed new tires and thought that I needed new brakes for the car. When I dropped the car off to have the tires replaced I specifically asked them to put new brakes on the car. When I came back I was told that they had put on the tires but that I did not need new brakes at all and still had plenty of life left in the current brakes. I had basically given them a chance to charge me with the repair but they did not do it unlike a more unscrupulous mechanic might have. Instead of cheating me out of the money they gained a loyal customer that has been going there for several years. I just had an oil change on my 2008 saturn aura and completed the 100,000 mile service The car handles like new. If you have trouble with your vehicle I highly recommend giving them a chance as you will not regret it. read more

I no longer live around the corner, but I make the trek to Hamilton specifically to JB when I need tire/ wheel help. the shop is a full-service auto repair too, though I've never used any non-wheel related services. Great, friendly service. I called around to a number of places when we realized our tires needed replacing, but nobody else had high-rated tires in stock, so we went with this shop. The owner was super friendly and helpful - he saw we had our laptops out, so he let us know that there was free wi-fi available. Service was quick - about 50 minutes, where other people nearby were estimating closer to two hours. The owner told us about a mail-in rebate we could get for our tires and, without our asking, gave us a separate receipt and rebate form with marks next to what we'd have to fill out. Very nice. When we asked the owner if we needed an alignment, he said his mechanic had checked our alignment and we were fine - every other place we called just added the alignment to the bill. It's great that they actually checked it out. The tires drive great. My only issue (and it's pretty minor) is that, afterwards, the guys who do our oil changes pointed out that the tires had been inflated more than the manual recommends and had to deflate them slightly to bring them into line. These guys are friendly, trustworthy and fast - recommended! read more

Great service, were able to accommodate me even though I came in without an appointment. I took the synthetic oil change option, they use Mobil 1syntgetic oil and charged me 55$ for it. Happy with the service, friendly accommodating staff. Also recommended I change my air filters for about 20$ each, didn't take that option. Maybe, next time. read more
