Took my car for an oil change for Mobil 1 synthetic. In the complimentary review, changing the antifreeze was suggested stating it was worn out & the quality was lowered due to it. So agreed to change antifreeze. As well, clean the yellowed headlight covers. It was one of the last appts of the day. While we waited, my car was in the first position by the waiting room window. It seemed to be longer than expected and saw there was a huge amount of steam fogging up the service area, so did not enter. I asked the cashier if everything was okay, he responded a reassuring yes. Perhaps 15-20 minutes later he said they were going to do the light covers in the back of the building and I could see the car being driven out. It was getting dark outside, so we just waited and I paid the bill. It was closing time when he said the car was finished. We went outside, now dark and drizzling, the headlight covers looked clear, the tech that escorted us out to the front parking lot even commented he was surprised how good the headlight covers looked. I thought the customer service was wonderful. When we got into the car, the shop doors were already closed & our escort went inside, locked the front door & turned out the lights. My car's front driver's window was open, 1st clue. I started the car, then started driving out while rolling up the window. The interior of the window going up was sopping wet "on the inside" & the window regulator was rugged & straining - it was such a shocking disappointment. With their shop closed, dark & rainy, In slow increment I get the window rolled up. I just thought what did they do, what was that steam we saw inside their shop. We drove home. I thought it was very sneaky to leave the window purposely open instead of telling us they flooded the inside of the door-window chamber. I thought let the window interior dry and did not need to use the car for several days. Well, it dried out & the regulator sounded strained, I thought maybe the window was also leaned on, I had such distrust of them at that point. Why were they sneaky about soaking the interior of the door-window chamber, how. I don't know what they did but the car only gets 15 miles per gallon since that service, so something in the engine / fuel area was also damaged. I think the steam we saw was an accident of some sort and they chose to be silent with a smile instead of upfront and truthful. I don't trust them, so trying to figure out the best way to approach the damage they did to my car. I gave them a 1* because whoever did the headlight covers did a good job. read more

I had never been to Jiffy Lube before. Always took my car to the dealer, even for an oil change, and it took hours. I didn't know what to expect at Jiffy Lube and car stuff makes me nervous. With some slight anxiety, I drove to the location on Route 1, Lawrenceville, NJ. I arrived at 9:30 am, a few days after Christmas. No lines. The service bay door opened right up, and friendly staff greeted me and instructed me exactly what to do. It was so easy and comfortable, and I was done in 10 minutes. They even put air in my tires, cleaned the windows and gave me a little sticker to remind me when my next oil change was due. It was so easy and professional. I have total confidence to go back there now for small stuff that doesn't require a trip to the dealer. EDIT: The review says I'm from San Francisco. I don't know how to change that. Went to this location yesterday (6/3) for an oil change. They also changed a filter for me. Once I left, I turned my AC on and my whole front end was rattling. LOUD. I opened the glove box and it fell apart because they never clipped it back together. (Found the clips on my passenger seat). Yesterday I visited one of my favorite businesses in Mercer County - Jiffy Lube in Lawrenceville. Why? Because my 14-year old car was giving me dashboard warnings about oil level, and coolant, and also the steering wheel was difficult to turn when moving the car very slowly. I was between regular oil changes. But Jiffy Lube tops up their customers if you need it in between regular visits. I drove in, no appointment. The crew and the Sunday manager, Krystal, went above and beyond to diagnose and treat. They solved all three things, even did some stuff I believe they legitimately could have charged me for, but did not. I LOVE this Jiffy Lube. Thank you Damon, Krystal and team. Came here for an oil change to get ready for a long trip. I've been to many chains that try to upsell you but didn't find that to be the case here. They fixed a couple things that I knew needed to be done, after being told several times by other mechanics. I also wanted a second opinion about something that Mavis Discount Tire had tried to upsell me on, in which they quoted me $450. The mechanics at Jiffy didn't think it was necessary to replace and also said that when they do need replacement, it shouldn't cost more than $200. read more

UPDATE: I brought in the car for a third time, because the dealer wanted $125 just to look at it. They replaced the drain plug altogether and monitored it to verify that it had stopped leaking. They also gave me a gift certificate for a free oil change. I doubt I'll use it, but I appreciate the gesture. ORIGINAL REVIEW: A few weeks after my oil change, my (brand new) car started leaking oil. I brought the car back, and the guy said that there was some seepage around the plug, so he tightened it a quarter turn. The next day, the oil is leaking faster. Now I have to bring the car in to the dealer (20 minutes away) to figure out what's going on. The fact that the seepage is near the plug is certainly not encouraging. Regardless of whether or not it's Jiffy Lube's fault originally, though, I am even more concerned that the guy would diagnose it as a loose plug--clearly that was not it. I will be taking my costly, important means of transportation somewhere else. read more

I've been to this location several times for oil changes. While they are always quick and do a good job, they also always try to upsell. From air filters to fluids for mileage milestones, there always seems to be something else that they try to make money off of. I'll check out somewhere else next time I need an oil change. read more
