My husband and I visited this store for the first time this Saturday! The website said they carried tile and that was primarily what we were interested in. (we did not look at carpet at all and I am sure based on their name that is what they primarily sell but this review is for tile purposes only as that is what we looked at) They did have some selection but it was not as wide as we hoped. They also had some hardwood and fake hardwood available as well. When walking in we were not really greeted. I didn't understand we had to go get our temperature taken first and had walked over to go look at tile. So found out after the fact. It was a little bit awkward. The lady then pointed out the tile to us and let us do our thing. I didn't find the people working there at the time to be overly friendly. They were not unfriendly or rude. Just not really warm and welcoming. The selection of tile was relatively small. We did manage to find one thing we liked but as we were just getting going we took note of the price and the item numbers. It was a little more money than we had been hoping to pay. We said we would come back though if we ended up deciding on the tile from them. read more

Excellent service! We needed to carpet a flight of stairs, and wanted to make sure the new carpet had a chance to off gas odors before being installed in our home. From start to finish, Cody gave us sound advice, including which carpet to select, which was at a very reasonable price. The carpet looks and feels really good. We had a bad experience with a local flooring company and then went to Carpet Mills in Ft. Collins. We were immediately greeted by Collette, Store Mgr. She took care of our requests within our budget. We did have some glitches with installation, but Collette took care of them. The carpeting is gorgeous. The planks in the living room look great, had a glitch with one but once again it will be taken care of. We are happy with the upgraded look in our home. read more

After going to two other carpet stores, we were welcomed by Jim Crockett. He did not try to upsell us for carpet and luxury vinyl flooring. His approach was exactly what we hoped for. Even after the sale, he must have come to our home 3-4 times making adjustments if needed as well as checking out the job. When we noticed that an incorrect card we used needed to be changed, he followed up and immediately corrected our mistake. Only thing I might add, if you want a quality flooring, best possible service and huge savings, ask for Jim. read more

Our office building needed to have all of the carpet replace. Jim at Carpet Mill was knowledgeable, helpful, made great suggestions, and worked to keep our costs as reasonable as possible. The crew who laid the carpet was outstanding. They worked very hard, were exceptionally polite and accommodating. I was so pleased with every step of this process. read more

Wow!!! Worst experience ever!!! Had a final balance of $6700, we paid $3,500 upfront and owed $3,200 when we get our hardwood vinyl and carpet installed. We got the hardwood flooring and scheduled the carpet install. We went in and paid the $3,200 remaining balance. Carpet was supposed to be done last week and installer came out and said "oh and we didnt realize the stairs were this big, we need to reschedule... and then he left. We call Coletter to reschedule and she asks for pymnt of final balance and we both were shocked. We said we came in last week and paid the remaining balance, and now she wants $1,150 more... lol. "Bait & Switch"... unreal. Dont fall for the low sticker prices, because they will change those prices to their discretion and act like its your fault...,Stay far far away!!!!! read more

We had carpet installed by Carpet Mill in January 2015. Right away some of the seams in the carpet seemed to be very obvious, but we thought we would wait and see if the fibers came together. There was no improvement, in fact the seams look like they are overlapped and more apparent than ever. We called Carpet Mill 3 times but no one ever called us back. We finally got in touch with someone who said he was the President at the location. He told us that seams always show, but if we could take pictures and send them to him he would look at it. We are very disappointed in the service and installation of the carpet at this time. The carpet was very expensive and we feel that we are just being ignored in hopes we will go away and not bother Carpet Mill. At this point, I would not recommend Carpet Mill based on the service. read more

Upon arriving at Carpet Mill in Ft. Collins, Co. Mike immediately welcomed Elliot and I to the store. He listened to our needs. His customer Service approach was awesome. He listened and suggested which carpet would bring us years of joy. Not once did he make me feel this was about making a sale. He showed a genuine interest in helping us to select the right carpet at the right price. Leo was our carpet installer. He was courteous, professional and on time. He showed so much care in getting his job done right. While Leo was seaming our carpet, he mentioned he was not satisfied with his iron. He didn't feel the iron was heating to get the best job done seaming. Leo decided to go purchase a new iron so he could do the best job on the seams. Unbelievable customer service on Leo's part. Set up an appointment for measurements for carpet/tile installation. The salesperson was supposed to call and confirm and did not. When I got in contact with him the morning of the appointment, he stated he was with another customer and would call back when he was available. An hour-and-a-half after our appointment, he called to see if he could come out. Not only did he waste my time that morning but also the time it took to go to the showroom to pick out tile and carpet. Worst customer service I've experienced in a long time. read more

I had trouble with Carpet Mill from the get go. The seams have shown in the carpet from the first few months of installation but because I didn't want to mess with them, I let it go. Now the seams are very noticeable so I called them and asked them to come out and fix the seams. They have not called back and honestly I do not expect to hear from them. Their excuse is that they have to run everything by the Denver store. I will probably have to pay someone to come out and fix the seams even though I bought carpet that is supposed to have a lifetime warranty. I would not do business with these people again. By the way, the same day I called the Carpet Mill I also called Carpet Exchange because they are the ones who put carpet in my family room. The carpet in that room needs to be re-stretched in one area. They will be here on Thursday to get it done. Go with them if you need carpet. read more
