I spent almost 15k on my flooring for it to look horrible and be told that I have to pay to fix it. Shaws product was dyed inconsistently and they want me to pay to fix it - buying more of their product and pay for labor. Carpet Exchange and Shaw should make this right, and they are not being responsible. I recommend that you do not buy from Carpet Exchange or use Shaw products. read more

We went here for our first time on Saturday. The staff was warm and welcoming. They inquired what we were looking for and immediately pointed us in the right direction. The showroom was big and clean. They did surprisingly have a pretty good selection of tile available to look at. We did find a couple of things we were interested in. The lady who was helping us was very funny and made us laugh. The prices seemed fair and were lower than what we had experienced from the other carpet store we had visited. read more

since buying my floors feom Carpet Exchange ive had issues. Ever seen an lvt have lil poy the size of marbles all theough the product and they says it part of the product. NO ITS NOT!!! ive done flooring for over 45 years and never seen that once. Til i bought rhis mannington lvt thats a WASTE OF MONEY!! they talk it up but it fails. once it fails you contact office and they look at you very rude and try to pass the buck? Stay away from this RIP-OFF STORE!!! rhis is a major warranty issue ive done sone research and im not the only one. Also said it was scratch proof but some how ta not un warranty now. Rhis place meeds to feel the wrath of not taking care of their customers. Yet again they fail and send it to Georgia where they wont contact you or ever reply or answer a call . My fiance and I just bought our first house, we were super stoked to put new flooring in. We went with carpet exchange because we loved the quality of the flooring and we thought the costumer service was good until we met the contractor that was sent by carpet exchange. We told the manager- Eric several times that the contractor was not a good fit for us. We let him finish the job until the contractor got frustrated with us for having family in town for our son's first birthday. We were told that the job was going to be done within 2-3 days but then turned into 5 days still unfinished. We had planned the birthday around the flooring because we were told it was going to be a 2-3 day job. We have been so understanding through the process and understood that the job was taking longer due to the contractor working alone. The most frustrating part about this experience is how we were treated by the contractor. There was so much passive aggressive attitude and rude behavior the time he was with us, more so when he was around my in laws. Due to the job taking longer than expected the contractor had made comments about losing money just from working on our floors, he originally had help but got into a conflict with his co worker causing the contractor to finish the work alone. Carpet exchange sent out two new contractors to finish the job because we couldn't work work the original contractor. Over all the experience was disappointing and overally priced to be treated awful. read more

I have been meaning to write this review for a few months. We had Carpet Exchange install carpet in several rooms of our house. We had read decent reviews so we were hoping for a good experience. The gentleman we worked with was OK at our first visit, but throughout the rest of the process, he was pretty lousy. He rarely got back to us when we requested, and was increasingly rude as the process progressed. Once we made our deposit, we were essentially left in the dark. On a positive note, the installers did a pretty good job and were nice to our daughter. With all the choices consumers have to buy carpet, I advise going to a place that will at least appreciate your business. UPDATED: They contacted me to try and find out what wrong. Nice, but they already have my money and there is nothing I can do besides write a review...strangely my review disappeared from Yelp so I am reposting it. read more

Ok,I needed to put carpet downstairs in our basement. So I was shopping around between Carpet Exchange and Home Depot. I walking to the carpet exchange this morning and Gwen the store manager, was very friendly and ready to help me. we had them install Hard wood flooring ,carpet, and laminate flooring . we started having problems with the laminate flooring a year or so later . they have send several people to look at it and say it is bad but will not repair . they will not answer are calls if they do they send someone else to look a it . They have a great selection but their customer service in nonexistent. I like the flooring that I picked out; I went from carpeting to laminate. When the installers; sent by Carpet Exchange, pulled off my baseboard they didn't score it properly and pulled off the paint as well as the texturing above the baseboard in multiple places. I can understand having to do a bit of touch up after installation but not major repairs. When I called the manager he sent someone out to look at it and take photos. The guy told me he would get back to me that afternoon. I have yet to hear back from them all these months later. I've tried calling and leaving messages and writing letters but still no response. I would caution anyone contemplating using their services. read more

I was excited by how quickly Carpet Exchange was able to install my carpet. They were friendly in the store too.And a great price. However, after that it went downhill quickly. The installation was awful. Many issues. The carpet was not put down properly on the stairs and in other areas in the house. There were other strange issues as well. They did come quickly to fix the carpet problems, but I was disappointed with the issues AND I was disappointed that they did not refund any money to make up for my time and energy. The other strange issues took over a month to get fixed. Overall, disappointed and I would not use Carpet Exchange again. read more

From the moment we walked into the store all we heard was "ok, so put down a deposit and let's get started". "Put down a deposit" seemed to be the most important thing to the sales people over professionalism and helping us get our needs met. I even had to ASK for help when I walked thru the doors the first time because none of the sales people gave me a second glance. We originally had our house measured by a competitor and had Carpet Exchange quote us on that because they want a deposit up front just to measure for a quote. We ended up going with C.E. because we loved how soft the Karastan brand carpet was. Once we finally "put down a deposit" they sent someone (other than the salesman) to come measure the house. He came up with additional yards we needed which added an extra $4,000 to our original quote! This seemed pretty shady that two companies could be THAT far off on measurements and it sent red flags. However, because we loved the Karastan feel so much, we decided to move forward. When they day came for install, the installers noticed that we should of had a professional come in to correct a top stair step for an easy transition of the carpet downstairs (that the "professional measurer" never mentioned) AND the carpet that arrived was a different color than the one we originally chose. Come to find out, the manufacturer had changed the lighter shade in the carpet and Carpet Exchange was displaying a sample in store that was over 2 years old!! I immediately took my samples back to CE the same day and requested cuttings from the mill be sent to me to help me choose a new carpet that worked in our home. This was on a Monday morning. It took CE until the following Monday to actually order the samples which we didn't receive until Thursday afternoon. When we did receive the samples the carpet felt completely different than the sample we chose from. At that point my home had been disassembled for two weeks waiting on carpet. NOW they said it would be another week before the carpet would arrive for install. Our carpet was supposed to be installed Nov. 3rd and now it's the 24th and STILL no carpet. Anytime we have spoken to our salesman or the manager during this process we were constantly interrupted and not taken seriously. My entire house has been torn upside down for the entire month and now we cancelled our order with CE and have decided to use the other company who's salesman was professional and not pushy. We had to cancel Thanksgiving dinner in our home due to this mess. Buying carpet has been the biggest pain I have ever experienced and most of it was caused by Carpet Exchange. I will continue to share my experience with whomever is in the market for carpet. I highly encourage you to find another company before moving forward with Carpet Exchange. read more

It's been a year now, gave me time to cool off. What a Horrible experience. The installer(s) left exposed nails (the pointy side up) on our Stairs overnight because it was a two-day job. They left a Huge mess of shreds of carpet and when I asked the store salesman; first he wouldn't return my calls-- this is an over $6000 purchase! and then he said the installers quit vacuuming their mess over a year ago. Then the installers had No respect for our furniture, didn't return it to the original areas, and stood around glaring at me while I tried to hurry and vacuum (shop vac first it was that bad!) before they put the king-size bed down. What a horrible memory. I would easily pay 15% more to buy from someone who was honest. read more

Gaps and scratches on new laminate floor, trash from old tile left in our driveway for 5 days. No showed MULTIPLE times. Would never use them EVER again. Absolutely terrible customer service. False promises from Sales Representatives, and complete disrespect for customers. Brian not only made discriminatory and sexist remarks but refused to take responsibility for false promises about carpet seaming and quality of commercial carpeting. I am absolutely disgusted with this company and am currently turning them into the Better Business Bureau and seeking legal action. Not only did I wait 3 weeks to receive the carpet installation but when it arrived it was the wrong color. A week later when the correct color of carpet arrived for installation the seems were sewn incorrectly and the sales representative refused to acknowledge the carpet was poor quality or offer any resolve to my concers. The installers who were respectful enough to point out that the carpet was sewn wrong were then screamed at for being honest with me. My business has now been closed a total of 4 days due to this issue and even after contacting the company's corporate office there is still no resolve to the problem. I spoke with 6 different representatives and not one even remotely took responsibility for the issue and all showed lack of empathy for their poor customer service and terrible customer treatment. I would NOT give even one star for carpet exchange but unfortunately the only way for me to leave a review is by checking one. I am appalled and disgusted with this business! I will not only be giving a poor review, contacting the Better Business Bureau, but I will also refuse to recommend or do any further business with carpet exchange. read more

If I could give no stars I would. My experience with this store has been a nightmare. I needed 2 small tile pads (2 ft by 4.5 ft) plus carpet to be fastened down around the tile & some cabinets. The salesman measured wrong & what I got was 18 inches deep & the carpet was not tacked down. The install manager was prompt in addressing my concern & told me that the job would be done correctly at no extra cost to me. The store manager confirmed this. However it has taken 5 months & numberless phone calls to finally get this finished.Now they are wanting more money (I had already paid for materials) I will never use this store again. read more

We worked with Tami Brim at carpet Exchange in Fort Collins. She is very knowledgeable about the carpet and pad and helped us pick out a nice corn based carpet. We also wanted to replace some of our carpet with wood floors, but had existing wood that needed to be matched and laced. Carpet Exchange had an outside contractor for this. We were on a tight time-frame as our house was empty at the time of the install, but would soon be full of furniture from a move. The installers stayed late to get the install done in time. There were a few hiccups with finishing touches on wood and a billing issue, but they quickly had these taken care of to our satisfaction. Before we agreed on Carpet Exchange we had checked out other carpet installers and we found that Carpet Exchanges quoted price, measured quoted price and final price were very close; not miles apart. We are very happy with our carpet and wood floor. read more

We had a HORRIBLE experience with carpet exchange. We originally picked out tile flooring for our home in May. They came out, measured and got us a quote. A few weeks later the quote was missing and we had to start all over. The job was scheduled to start on a Monday in SEPTEMBER! That Monday rolled around and no one showed up. Our "tile guy" dropped off the face of the earth. No one could get ahold of him for days and he never returned calls. Brian at Carpet Exchange is completely incompetent, can I can't believe he is the MANAGER of the store! He was less than helpful. Never communicated. Never returned phone calls or messages. It was Thursday evening the week the job was supposed to start. I looked online for other companies that do tile installation, made 1 phone call and boom....we had someone at our door at 6:30 the next morning. We ended up getting our money and then some (for our inconvenience) refunded. I will NEVER set foot in a Carpet Exchange again! Such a hassle and not worth the stress! read more
