Best flooring install I've hired - ever. I've worked with independents and franchises (Empire Today, which sucks ass like a Hoover). These folks were great - carpet I wanted was in stock, better than anyone else. Were able to install the carpet within four days of me stopping by their store. On the install day, the installers showed up exactly on time, with the exact material, did the install very professionally and with quality - the carpet is tight, especially on the stairs and risers (important, so it doesn't come loose and trip people). The carpet itself is a grade above that which I'd been considering from other places. It's exactly what I wanted - style, color, quality, durability, stain resistance, etc. It was also a very competitive bid - and they ended up coming in about $400 less on the total bill than the estimate. Definitely will be at the top of my list when I look to remodel the main floor of my place. read more

My interaction with the manager Kris at Carpet Exchange was nothing short of amazing. I went in to ask a couple of questions about a flooring project we were attempting to do on our own. My husband and I wanted to have the carpet removed and hardwood floors installed in our master bedroom and closet. Amazing experience from start to finish: Christopher promptly took measurements and sent us a quote, shipped out samples, and followed up with the order status every step of the way. Martin, the project manager, upheld the same standards as Christopher and contacted us immediately when they received the product to schedule drop off of the materials. Excellent communication with scheduling the date/time of the work. The installation team was excellent: they were very polite and professional. They went through great lengths to make sure the floors were clean and returned all furniture to their original places. I highly recommend Carpet Exchange. Ours was a relatively small project, likely with a small profit margin, but they didn't sacrifice communication or customer service. I have been able to use Carpet Exchange for a few of my flooring purchase. They have the best selection of different types of floors and insanely low prices!!! I have put the Smartstand carpeting in my home and it is amazing. It matches my coretex vinyl plank floors perfectly. I was able to bring home large samples to make my selections. They installed all my flooring in less than a couple weeks from the first time I stopped into the showroom. The manager Kris that helped me was knowledgeable about what they sold and even their competitors products too. I needed an area rug to put in my living room and after looking online, I stopped in today and they have a very large selection of area rugs at great prices too! It's time for a rant. . .on June 11 and 12 we had Carpet Exchange from Cheyenne install new carpet throughout our house. It wasn't the most expensive carpet, but we paid well over $5,000 for the carpet and installation. The installers caused a number of problems: 1. They installed metal transitions everywhere it changed from carpet to other flooring when I explicitly told them I didn't want any metal transitions. a. In doing so, they chipped the tile in our laundry room. 2. They turned our sofa over and got six large streaks of carpet glue on the top. Carpet Exchange sent a professional cleaner to clean the sofa, and now there is a hole in the top of the sofa. 3. They broke two of our sliding closet doors. 4. They removed a piece of oak trim that allowed the closet doors to slide easily in our television room. 5. They left a slit in the carpet by the back door downstairs. 6. They ruined the entry way where we have carpet rolled down on the paneling. 7. They lost a piece of paneling in the stairwell, and we have no replacement pieces. 8. They scratched the paneling in the stairwell. 9. They badly scratched the oak newel post at the bottom of our banister. 10. Seams are clearly visible all over the house. 11. They don't use the carpet installation industry standard pole stretcher, rather they use knee kickers for an entire project which is sure to wrinkle with use. They sent someone out to look at all the problems with the promise that they would make this right. That was almost a month ago. They have our money, which we had to pay up front, but they sure aren't worried about coming to fix all the badly blundered problems. We are recommending that no one go to Carpet Exchange in Cheyenne for anything. They won't return our calls, they haven't sent a repair person except at 7:30 one Monday evening over a week ago with the promise they would be back by the end of the week. Now it's. . .oh,when we have someone coming out your way. This is totally unacceptable, and to say we are upset is an understatement. read more

We have had a ton of rain recently and our basement flooded!!! We did everything we could to save our belongings but the carpet was destroyed! Luckily Carpet Exchange was able to help piece our lives back together and make our house a home again! They were so friendly and able to get us great quality carpet installed within just a week!!! We hired Carpet Exchange for both a carpet installation and granite counters. We were actually on our way to Home Depot to pay for both jobs that had been quoted there, and decided to stop at Carpet Exchange on our way, just to see if they could quote a better price. So happy we stopped! Carpet first - We were trying to match the existing carpet in the house and CE had a very close color match with a better quality and warranty than HD. The quote was $1100 less than HD. Our salesperson, Mariah, came to the house the next morning to measure. The install date was quick. The installers were on time, fast and professional. They moved our furniture without scratching our wood floors or banging up the walls. They installed two rooms on the main floor and an upholstered staircase. Carpet looks fantastic. Mariah called the next day to follow up and check on how things went. Very happy with the entire process. Granite counters - CE quoted the exact same stone, edge profile, and square footage as HD and came in $1300 less. The granite installers came to measure/template our existing counters about 10 days later. We then found out that we could save even more if we did the tear-out of the old counters ourselves - which we did. We provided our own new undermount sink. Our sink is in a corner, and the old counters had a seam there, so I figured there would also be a seam in that area in the new granite so I was surprised and pleased when that slab arrived in one solid piece. The install date was about 7 days after the template/measure date. There were two installers. They showed up within their delivery window even though it had snowed the night before and the roads were bad that day. Two additional guys showed up to help carry our largest slab into the house, then left right after that. Our stove fits really tight and I was concerned that if the granite measurements were even just a little bit off, the stove wouldn't fit back into it's place - but everything fit perfectly. We had one slab with a tiny notch out for cabinet trim, and that fit perfectly also. We had ordered windowsills to match and I was expecting plain granite rectangles for those, but the had flared the granite out on the front edges and rounded the corners. They are beautiful and much nicer than I was expecting! The installers mounted the new sink and caulked it, and drilled the required hole for our faucet. All together they were done in an hour and a half. Again, Mariah called the next day to follow up and make sure everything went ok. Overall I feel that we got excellent service, quality products and a fantastic price. read more

Kris Zavala and his team are amazing. I started gathering bids for our new home in July. It took until October to actually close on our house. During that time, Kris came out to measure twice, gave me revised estimates at least five times as I changed my mind about the scope of my project. He was always prompt, positive and professional. I found a lower price at another online retailer that he was able to beat for me, too. I put him through the ringer with vague time frames, frequent mind changing and lots of questions. We spoke so frequently that I asked him to pick out carpet for my master bedroom sight unseen based on the color of the vinyl planking I was adding to the rest of the house. His choice was perfect. Zero Stars Worst experience ever! Once we finally got them to come install our vinyl flooring and cleaned up the mess in our yard of scraps of old flooring we noticed a large rip in front of the refrigerator. Installer left without mentioning. Several phone calls later we got them to come replace. This time they didn't put refrigerator back "so it wouldn't happen again" and broke the door to the oven. Had a great experience with Heather from Carpet Exchange. Custom ordered carpet that was coming from their Georgia warehouse. I was weary because we had an absolute deadline to get the carpet installed due to a complete house remodel. Heather kept track of progress and made sure she contacted me when carpet arrived. Measuring and installation went smooth as well. We were not impressed with the manager Kris' customer service when we went to pay our bill, but the service we received from Heather made up for what he lacked. We would like to give major kudos to Kris and his staff at the Greeley Carpet Exchange store. In the last 15 months we have re-carpeted our home and then decided to down-size to a smaller home that needed a remodel. Throughout this process on both homes, we had many design and color questions, not only for carpeting, but also with tile, and engineered vs solid wood flooring. As we moved through this process, Kris was always eager to assist with both technical and aesthetic advice. Kris has obviously been involved in many build and remodel projects so he knows what is trending, what is classic, and what absolutely will not work. We spent plenty of time and money in the "big Box" stores for cabinets and general construction supplies but we always found our way back to Carpet Exchange for flooring solutions. The appointment was for 12:00, and I left at 12:55 to go back to work with nobody showing up or even a call. Met Kris from the Carpet Exchange Greeley location at the Colorado Home and Garden store. He was attentive and very helpful going over all of my choices. We selected the perfect floor that would hold up to my very active pack of German Shepherds. He even brought samples out to my house so I could be sure of the color choice (above and beyond, since I live east of Parker!) The install crew was on time every day, polite, professional, and extremely helpful. They even pointed out a possible leak in my toilet and dishwasher (both of which they had to move to put the floors down). They showed me the toilet problem early enough in the overall project so I had time to run into town and pick up a new toilet, which they installed and even hauled off the old toilet. I'm in the middle of a major renovation on my entire house, and Carpet Exchange from first to last has been my favorite group to work with so far. I highly recommend them! read more

Awful experience. We have actually had 2 dealings with Carpet Exchange. One was a couple of years ago, didn't post anything figuring I would give the benefit of the doubt. The most recent was not any better. One of the occurrences we ordered some tile, there were about 20 pieces and 3-4 of them arrived broken. I asked to have these replaced and the response was use these for the areas instead of cutting. In the end after arguing about this they did replace the broken places. The other incident we ordered some tile samples. I went in a week after they were ordered to see if they had arrived. They had not and I spent an hour in the store trying to find the original order. They promised to check with the person that did the original order as they were out the day I went in. A month or so later I am still waiting for that call...guess they never ordered them and lost the order. We purchased from a different company. read more
