We are now ready for the install (Feb 2022) and they called to say the stove and beverage refrigerator are on back order....how is that possible when they were already in and paid for more than a year ago??? She then tried to tell me that they didn't have enough warehouse space so instead of calling us to ask us to pick it up they sell it to someone else.....oh, and keep our money (~$50k). My builder informed me of this and I call them and they said they were able to get the stove from another order...like that was a favor for me. However, the beverage refrigerator is not on back order, it has been discontinued. So we already have custom cabinets that have been built and installed for this size refrigerator....which they are now trying to figure out. I don't write reviews very often, but this is just outright fraud. They take my money, order and receive my equipment, then sell it to someone else without me knowing or refunding my money. Sadly we have to now resort to more formal remediation options which aren't good for either party. Obviously I don't recommend this company!

I'm sure we are his primary target to do business with but he treated us like we were. Everything did not go perfect, but they were mostly our mistakes and he treated them like they were his fault (even though they weren't). Quality of products: the cabinets were excellent. They aren't the super expensive custom built cabinets, but they were 10 times better than most of the big box stores. The are 3/4 ply all the way around, except the back. The shelves are solid and the soft close hardware is super easy to work. If you are assembling your own cabinets, make sure you ask him questions. The more complicated ones can be a bit of a head scratcher since the limited videos can be less than helpful....I wish I would have had time to make some of the assembly videos for future use. The countertop (quartz) turned out really well. The seams were very small and they matched the veins tastefully. Only improvements I can think they need is better assembly instructions for a few of the cabinets. That's it. Going to AMC might have been our best decision of the entire remodel. Don't take my word for it though, just stop in and talk to Sin to see for yourself.

They sell prefabs which helped us save money instead of buying full slabs for everything. Sinisa was wonderful with helping us pick our material, explaining the process, and fitting as much as possible onto each slab. We had an issue later on with one of the cabinets that was caused by another contractor and Kirby came out right away and had it fixed at no charge. Very reputable company. Highly recommended and would use them again without hesitation.

This project was long and stressful. We signed the contract in March 2025. We had a discussion…read moreabout the expectations about our back yard porch which introduced a change. Then we decided to get a digital rendering of the porch which came out great, but came with a price of over $1k in addition to the initial Estimate which was over 40k. Some time went by and we heard very minimal about the project between March and August. I decided to do a review on yelp to motivate the company to do something with our project. I received a phone call from the PM about how this affects their business. I agreed that I would remove that review and add a review at the end. Our understanding was that there would be quality control and communication weekly along the way however; this was not the case. There were days where the painter and foundation person came when they said they would and other times they didn't. A couple of times I would go out and look and tell the construction worker that the quality was not acceptable. This occurred on more than one occasion. I called the PM to tell him that this was the problem. It got fixed and we ended up with a beautiful porch in Mid November with a total of $45k spent. If you have the time and money to spend to guide this project the exact way that you want then yes, otherwise; I would recommend a different company.

UPDATE: We had Jack come back and replace the cabinets and counters in the master and guest bath…read more There was also enough granite to replace the counter in the laundry room. Once again, the job was perfect and came out great. Jack, as usual, made sure we were happy with every last detail before he left. He reconnected all of our plumbing even had to deal with a very unusual plumbing detail when installing the cabinets. The original cabinets seem to have been installed BEFORE the plumbing or has some odd assembly scheme that made it a very unique challenge to install the new ones with the way the supply lines and drain pipes were. This was not an issue for Jack and he quickly solved the problem and the cutouts he made are spot on. Very happy and would HIGHLY recommend Colorado Cabinets and Counters (Encompass) to anyone. We had Jack Ames with Colorado Cabinets and Counters (Encompass Real Estate Solutions) reface our kitchen cabinets, replace the countertops, add a tile backsplash, redo the island in the kitchen, and reface the cabinets in one of our bathrooms recently. EVERY aspect of his work was exceptional. Besides being a truly impressive craftsman, Jack is an equally great individual who gets the job done to the highest standards and will do all he can to make sure you are satisfied with the final product. He drove about 1 1/2 hours (in good traffic) to our home multiple times prior to beginning any work. He was able to provide us with samples, colors, and ideas to make our kitchen much more appealing. He had great ideas we didn't even consider such as cabinet doors that fully cover the middle support frame rather than the style we had that did not. Although this sounds like a minor detail, it made a HUGE difference. He was also able to redesign our very odd bi-level kitchen island into a larger, more common sense design that incorporated a microwave area in it and reface the entire side profile area with material that was the same as the main cabinets to tie it all together. The attention to detail was so precise that even the trim on the bottom of the cabinets was cut PERFECTLY to adhere to the shape of the tile and grout that it adjoined. It was amazing to see this quality of work in our home given the previous "builder grade" effort that was originally there. He transformed our kitchen into something we love to show to people rather than something we hated looking at. I could go on much, much longer with details of the great work Jack Ames did for us but it would just be repetitive. He is one of the best craftsman I've had the pleasure to meet and a really honest, hard working individual who was one interest in mind....the customer! You really will be hard pressed to find a more honest and skilled individual for your cabinet and counter needs. You'll be VERY happy with the work Colorado Cabinets and Counters will do for you.
