We recently recently purchased new carpet for our three bedrooms. The owner, Rick, came out to our house and measured the rooms. He was super friendly-one if the nicest guys we've met in a long time! He gave us a great price on a good quality carpet and had it installed in a little over a week after we bought it. The two installers were both very efficient and did a great install. Cleaned up thoroughly after as well! Rick's wife, Donna, is also super friendly. After the headaches of dealing with the big box stores, this was a very easy and satisfying experience! Found this place driving down Washington, we had originally set up an appt with Home Depot to get carpet but wanted to check these guys out. I'm so glad we did because Anthony was such great help, he was very professional and courteous, he took time out of his day and stayed after hours so we could decide on the color and type of carpet we wanted. Fantastic service and prices from Carpet Discounters! We recarpeted our entire house and our experience working the owners of this store and their installers was excellent. They have a nice selection of the top brands and they were really helpful about talking about different options and price points. They even ran a couple estimates with different quality levels in several rooms. I felt I got very honest, unbiased advice which was invaluable. They were also very flexible on scheduling the install dates. I really like being able to support local businesses like this one. All the install teams are employees and not sub'd out. The guys that came out to our house were professional, experienced and very polite. It was a team of 4, and I couldn't have asked for a better install experience. We had scheduled 2 days, but they were so efficient that they knocked out the whole house in just one. Overall, I highly recommend them and have passed their name to many of our friends. The worst possible experience. BUYER BEWARE! I worked with Anthony (sales manager). We were ordering carpet for our great room. The room was clean and empty and ready for install. The installer showed up alone with the carpet folded and had to ask for help getting it up the stairs. He was left to do the tack strip and pad -- only to find he installed 5 different kinds of pad. He claimed it was all the same weight. He was at our house the entire day leaving and at some point never returned. I walked upstairs to see a box fan "drying" a corner of the carpet. I walked over to another area he had laid it down and it was wet. I pulled back the carpet to see damaged carpet with delaminated areas, white material from the back falling off. It was also wet, muddy and dirty. I called the manager to come over and rectify the situation. He acted like it wasn't a big deal - just a weird thing- he shouldn't have sent the installer alone. It was Monday before Thanksgiving we had hoped to have use of the room. We were put if until after holiday. They tried to charge us for the install if the pad. My instincts told me to check it-- I finally pulled the carpet back and found USED pad. It took a week for them to remove the carpet/Pad. I talked to the owner and he didn't seem to care it was USED pad or the experience I had. In fact, he argued it was brand new- I offered to send him the sample I kept and photos. He told me -- "Your getting your money back". There were no apologies or appreciation we were willing to work with them-- and it was very clear using old, used pad is the norm. We waited through the holiday weekend making most of home unusable due to furniture all over and unable to use that room with wet, stinky carpet. When they removed the pad-- IT SMELLED LIKE DOG POOP. Both the manager and owner refused to admit the pad installed was used. But- refused to see evidence. No one seemed shocked or asked for information. We ordered a high end pad and carpet. These folks are clearly the used car salesmen if the flooring world. I went to flooring liquidators- picked out a beautiful carpet in stock. They installed in 5 days. It was done professionally without a hiccup in two hours. I wasted about a month and a lot of effort on carpet discounters in Roseville. Please see photos. I am still in shock they tried to install this in my home. After looking closer at their reviews some are fake. A google review praising CD and especially the installer. When in fact the installer he was praising was himself because it was the guy who poorly attempted to install at our home. We have been so impressed with Carpet Discounters, I cannot recommend them highly enough. I went into the showroom and first met with Donna, she was helpful, knowledgeable and helped me stick to my budget. I obtained estimates for the same carpet from several other companies and Carpet Discounters were significantly cheaper. We have just had our carpet fitted and the guys have done a fantastic job. I unfortunately have had many calls into Carpet Discounters, specifically Anthony, the owner, over the past three months about problems with the carpet installation in my newly purchased home. I've cut my feet repeated on the carpet tacks between rooms, and the carpet seams are very obvious. Anthony, has repeatedly stated he'd come out and review with me my concerns and has repeatedly not shown up. When he finally did show up, he promised me a timely resolution to my concerns. I could take two or three excuses but it has been a total dismissal and no resolution to my problem with the carpet. I've repeatedly asked for Anthony to call me and he has blown me off. I would never purchase anything from this company. No follow through, no customer service. This is my first Yelp to any company and I've never been blown off like this. So disappointed in Carpet Discounters customer service. Be vary! read more

Carpet Discounters did an outstanding job on the flooring for my gym. We had them lay three different types of flooring in a 3500sq ft. facility, and not only does it look amazing but it was done with the highest quality! My rental house had the carpet in 2 rooms vandalized, so I needed to replace the carpet of the 2 rooms. I was counting on the previous yelp review of 5 stars and decided to give it a try. I contacted Richard in October, showing him the sample, and he found it in his Mohawk brand collection. I specifically asked him if the job is too small for him, and he said no job is too small. After inspecting and measuring my rooms, he promised to call me back for a quote after calculating the cost of material. He never called. When I called him a week later, he claimed he could not find the exact carpet. If I could find it, let him know. So I set off to look for the exact carpet - for him. I contacted half a dozen places, and finally got the least expensive quote from Home Depot on the exact carpet for $2.28 a square foot and I don't have to buy a whole roll. That took me over one month to locate the cheapest carpet for him. When I called him to tell him the good news, he finally told me he had no interest doing the job for me because he would not have made enough money on my job. This person wasted me months of my time looking for carpet for him, and while nobody can force anybody to do a low profit job, he should have told me up front that he did not want to do the job, especially I had asked him on the first day whether the job was too small for him, and he answered no job is too small for him. That is a misleading statement. Does everybody need to set up some kind of deceit in dealing with other people? I feel sorry for Richard. read more

We have a little restaurant in midtown called LUCCA and needed our Banquet Room re-carpeted before the Christmas season was in full swing.After calling 4 other Carpet Companies in the Sacramento area and having a rush installation issue CARPET DISCOUNTER'S was the only company that went far beyond what the others failed to do. They came out and gave us a great bid within 24 hours. Donna at the main office was so nice and accommodating on the phone. Rick the owner came out and went through all the samples, timeline of installation and stuck to every last detail. They ordered the carpet from L.A. and got it in ahead of schedule and within 8 hours we had our banquet room re-carpeted $1000 less than any of the other bids. All I can say is when I carpet my home I will call CARPET DISCOUNTERS. I will tell 100 friends to call CARPET DISCOUNTERS...They are a class act that should be very busy for years to come!!
