I'm very pleased with the laminate flooring installation and especially want to recognize the installers for the excellent job they did. They were professional, careful, and respectful of our home. They worked hard to keep everything clean throughout the installation, which I really appreciated. Also James Nielsen made the floor selection easy by suggesting the best fit for the style of our home. The project did take longer than originally scheduled, and I was disappointed that the deadline was not met. However, the installers discovered that the existing subfloor was in much worse condition than expected, which understandably added time and work to the project. Not once did Nielsen Fine Floor ask for additional funds. Overall, I'm very happy with the finished floors. The installers did a beautiful job, took pride in their work, and left our home clean and looking great. I would definitely give the installation crew high marks for their workmanship and completed the project with excellent attention to detail. The finished floors look beautiful. Great experience from the initial visit to the showroom, scheduling, and installation. We had recently purchased a home and wanted new floors throughout the 4000 sq. ft. home. Very nice couple, but follow-through is lacking. Customer service is barely there. We had our entire home of 4100 SQ FT recarpeted, and there were a few problems that we reported. Now about 10 months out the problems still haven't been fixed. They don't return calls, make lots of promises but nothing is fulfilled. We wanted to support local businesses, so paid a bit more for the product and installation than with several other companies, but still waiting for the fix. A bit disappointing. read more

What can I say about Nielsen's Flooring? Nothing positive. After assuring my family that we would be personally check on during our flooring process by James Nielson, we didn't see him once. We didn't see him after we complained that we had to do extensive painting after their flooring workers left. We also said that there were areas where the flooring was not joined properly and squeaked. We also said that our cabinets were damaged. We also said the installers had broken a number of items, We were personally assured by Mrs. Nielson,however, we never did hear back from them. I guess paying almost $30,000 for our flooring doesn't allow for any customer service. read more

We had nielsons install our flooring a couple years ago. We had an issue with our carpet that was not the fault of nielsons. After a lot of effort, nielsons went ahead and ate the cost of replacing our carpet to make us happy after the manufacture would not stand by their product.
