This is the second positive review I've written for the Carpet Depot. Most recently, I was re-carpeting a single small bedroom in my house- not a big job and a small budget to work with. Jackson was very hands-on and helpful in finding the right carpet at a great price that would match the room. And Sammy, the installer, was just excellent! On time, hard worker, professional. The carpet depot is tucked away on the north west corner of Thomas and 32nd St. You have to look for them, but you'll be glad you did. They appreciate your business and it shows. For the second time, I'm really happy with the work they did at the price point they provided. A couple years ago, I referred a friend in Tempe on a much bigger job and she was similarly very happy and impressed. read more

I want to thank Johnny for helping me out of pinch. I needed a piece of carpet to match with my existing four year old carpet. He was able to find me a perfect match along with the perfect padding. I really truely appreciate his time and energy with this matter. Thanks, Greatly appreciated!!! Troy Washington read more

A great find! I needed to replace carpets in 2 of my bedrooms and after looking at home improvement stores and other carpet stores, I just was not happy with the selection and the amount I was going to pay for seeming average quality carpet. I worked with Dan and Ron at Carpet Depot and they were great from start to end. Dan spent a ton of time with me looking at all their options, proving his recommendations, gave me a ton of samples and helped me pick the best carpets at a great price. The installer they recommended, was able to be at my house in 2 days and was wonderful. I'm so happy with my new carpet and working with the team at carpet depot. Thanks guys! read more

I walked in the warehouse on location to pick out carpet for our studio. I was greeted immediately and felt like a valued customer. Adam was helpful and patient. And extremely knowledgeable. We were able to get carpet picked out, scheduled and installed in a quick turn around of a couple weeks. Our only small hiccup was confusion around getting scheduled. But overall, our experience was great and the carpet installation was smooth. Our new carpet is perfect and we recommend visiting carpet depot. read more

We had a great experience with Carpet Depot for our new home! Jim was kind enough to take us around the store and give his recommendations as well as cut sample pieces for us to take home. We ended up finding the perfect color carpet but wanted it just a little bit softer. Sure enough, they had ordered the longer pile version as well, which was set to arrive in the warehouse the following week! Jim kept us informed during this time and got us scheduled for installation quickly, working around our moving timeframe. Bob and John did the installation perfectly and with an eye for detail. We are so happy with how it turned out. They were very friendly and fast. Give them a raise!!!!! :) Thanks Carpet Depot! read more

From walking into the store to the installation of the chosen carpet, our experience has been great! The owner and his staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, competent and flexible. Their installers were excellent. We would rate their customer service with a top rating. In this age of terrible customer service, it has been refreshing to work with Andy Pappas and his team. read more

Worst place ever! The workers are so disrespectful!!!!!! All we did was ask a question on why a product was cheaper at Home Depot and Andy and Johnny (name of workers wanted to fight and be so disrespectful. Never going back again... read more

All smiles & promises when you walk in the door. Shoddy workmanship when it's all said and done. Specifically, I worked with Andy to install carpet in a 2-bed apartment. They did not re-install the closet door sliders. When asked how come, Adam said they would have someone back to install, "within a few days." After two weeks I stopped back and spoke to Gus who informed me that, "I own the place and I ain't sendin' anyone back out." I looked at Andy and he cowered down like a beaten puppy. Zero integrity. Prices are better then Home Depot. Installation is quick and professional. They measure fairly. If you need carpet for a rental and real estate fluff, Carpet Depot is the place. I have also purchased bound carpets for area rugs several times over the last 15 years and have been satisfied. Employees are nice and have worked for the company along time including the installers. read more

I am a general contractor in Phoenix with a massive volume of active projects on any given day. After my other carpet guys dropping the ball on me twice in one week, I went to Carpet Depot on a whim hoping for better luck. Adam promptly greeted me as I walked inside, and helped me select a carpet that fit my needs (and my budget) within 3 minutes. No beating around the bush, no trying to steer me in any direction other than exactly what I was there for. Above and beyond service and professionalism. Carpet Depot has just gained my permanent business. Already purchased from them again for the second time in 24 hours. Thank you guys!! read more

Good carpet. Good job. Fair price. I like that they are a local family business. Good selection of carpet in a simple warehouse sort of atmosphere. read more

I have been a business owner for 40 years. I know what customer service means. Andy and Guy DO NOT!! It took 10 months for them to complete my small condo. They never return calls or followup. I told Guy politely that their customer service had a little to be reckoned with. His words to me were that I'm sorry you think we are so piss poor at our job. Andy screamed and yelled at me and told me not to tell him how to do his job. Then he hung up on me. I will NEVER refer them to anyone!!! They are miserable humans. read more

Thank you so much to Adam for helping me out with fixing my apartment carpet! I didn't bring In a Sample of what I was trying to replace, but it was almost like he read my mind. He was quick to greet me and made me feel like an appreciated customer, even though I only left with a couple of free samples. A much bigger collection of carpets compared to places like Home Depot/lowes and there is a lot bigger selection that is readily available. Definitely recommend! read more

I went in to Carpet Depot today to try & find an inexpensive carpet remnant for my garage. I've been caring for a feral cat this past summer & with the cold weather coming on i finally earned her trust enough to sleep in my garage at night. While it's better than being outside the concrete floors in the garage still made it cold. I'd been looking for a remnant carpet to insulate the floor & warming up the room. Today I went into Carpet Depot on N. 32nd St to see what they might have. I spoke to Guy & explained what I needed & why. He understood right away & took me to look at what he had in stock. I needed about a 7 x 10 ft & he found a nice, thick one at 6 x 10. When I asked the price he replied, "No charge. We like to help our neighbors. Merry xmas!" I was overwhelmed w/ his generosity. Let's remember to shop locally this holiday season & support our community retailers. My sincerest thanks, Guy, Annie & Marushka!! read more

Carpet shopping was so stressful, until I came here! So many quality carpets options at a lower price than anywhere else I looked. The owners were on site and helped us pick out carpet and stay under budget. They didn't try to oversell or push us into a price we weren't comfortable with. The installation was very quick and the guys were really friendly! read more

Went to the 32 nd street location last Friday. Salesperson was helpful, not pushy. Scheduled my appointment to measure on the following Tuesday. During the store visit, we figured we could do it Saturday. Salesperson got busy Saturday, I told him we could reschedule so he wouldnt have a late night on a Saturday, he said Monday would work . He never came or contacted me Monday. (I texted him about the appointment, He said texting him was fine and a preference). I contacted him Tuesday morning, he said he " returned to work Tuesday". If Monday was not going to work, I wished he just said Tuesday. He asked when I was available Tuesday. I advised 4 pm. That's the last I ever heard from them. By Tuesday evening, I didnt even feel like its worth trying to call the office etc as I would be leery to try to schedule anything further with them. It's just such a waste of time. Nice guy - it's just hard when you wait around for someone to be at your home and they don't show or even follow up on your business. read more

This place was fantastic. Went in there, ordered our carpet and got it all installed within a week. Awesome install job, price was fair and we are very happy with the results. Now for the reason they get 5 stars. I was in the process of moving out of a rental home and into my newly purchased house. I had a puppy who put a hole in the carpet at the rental home and needed to make a repair. Went to carpet depot and told the owner my story. He made the fantastic suggestion to use carpet out of the closet in the rental home to patch the hole and find a close match at carpet depot to replace the carpet in the closet. This way we have a 100% match for the repaired hole. What a great idea! To top it off he gave us about 15 square feet of free carpet to make the repairs. He did all this for us without even knowing that I was a previous customer. What a great guy and a great place. Will definitely recommend them to anyone! read more

This store is awesome! The manager I believe his name was Adam took the best care of me today and gave me the best service I could ask for. Not only did he go out of his way to meet my expectations of finding the perfect patch of carpet, he showed me many styles and did not rest until we were sure the one we picked was the identical one we needed. The store was very big, full of beautiful carpets and amazing prices. All it took was one phone call to this place and they managed to help me every way they possibly could until I left happy. I wanna thank Adam for the best service and the best environment he put me in today. I definitely would recommend this place to everyone I know and if you are looking for help I would definitely ask Adam, one of the best people there. Gave that man a raise and ask him for anything he will have your back. Thank you Adam and the rest of your team! read more

Purchased carpet from Carpet Depot for our condo. They measured incorrectly by 10 yards. After the installation of the carpet, we returned the extra 10 yards of carpet. They refused to reimburse us and stated their was an installation fee which was not mentioned when we purchased the carpet. It was not fair or ethical that we were charged for their mistake. We will never do business with them again and do not recommend them. read more

This is one of those places that will probably continue to fly under the radar because how many times do you buy carpet?! Well my BF just bought his first house and it was in need of some gutting- carpet was the first thing to go. First off, the owner wasn't a pushy sales guy which was awesome. We told him our price range, including the pad, and he showed us the selection we could afford. We spent about 5 min there and had already made a decision after having never looked seriously at carpet (Home Depot doesn't have this kind of selection so it doesn't count in my mind). We scheduled the install a few days out and I think we spent a sold half hour laying face down in the carpet after it was installed. I highly recommend Carpet Depot if you want an honest business with good values. Phoenix needs more good businesses like this. read more

Everyone at Carpet Depot was AMAZING!!! I knew I'd need carpet but still hadn't signed the lease for our new office space. I shared my dilemma with Mr. Pappas and told him on Monday that I was signing the lease Tuesday and needed carpet Wednesday. He wrote me a rough estimate and told me to call him Tuesday when I had signed my lease. I literally called the store at the end of the day for a next day install and they made it happen!!! OWNERS WILL NOT HONOR PRICE THEY QUOTED. Two weeks ago we went into Carpet Depot and selected a high end Shaw carpet. Andy, one of the co-owners, wrote down the name of the carpet, what type of pad they would use and gave us this paper with a per square yard price. On the quote it said it was for carpet, pad and installation. He gave us this quote, along with his business card. Monday of this week we went back to place the order. Andy, again looked up the price and again quoted us the same price. He began to write up the official order and realized he had forgotten to include in the price the cost of pad and installation. After uttering a few expletives, he said he would still honor the price he quoted us (twice now), because he is a man of his word, even though he would not be making much profit off the job. He scheduled a worker to come on Friday to do the measure. Today, Wednesday, he calls and says he cannot do the job after all and would be much happier if we went somewhere else to do business. read more

Everyone I dealt with in the store and the installers were kind and respectful. When I had my choices narrowed down to two I asked to take the samples home overnight. Even though they didn't have extra samples for display they gladly accommodated. As promised I returned the sample Monday morning with my order. The time between ordering and installation was only a little over a week. Super happy with the carpet by Phenix and the installation is perfect. Oh! To move furniture only $1/yard?! Can't beat it. Didn't have to take a day off moving furniture or worry about my husband with poor balance or my 85 year old mom trying to move things around. I highly recommend doing business with this family owned company. Top-notch and competitively priced! read more

Carpet Depot on 32nd Street. Charlie, Carpet Depot's salesperson was very knowledgeable, very low pressure and extremely thorough. He spent a hour measuring our 1400 sq.ft 2nd floor, steps and living room area then drew the exact room dimensions on graph paper at no charge. (Lowe's charged $39.00 then sent someone who spent 15 minutes scribbling on a legal pad. The estimator asked if we wanted the closets carpeted and where we wanted the seam to show in the living room...huh! Then it took three weeks before Lowe's contacted us with a price which was $1010.00 higher than Carpet Depot for an inferior grade of carpet and pad. By this time Carpet Depot already installed the carpet) Cruz, the installer and his three man crew were simply amazing. They were scheduled to arrive at 7:00 AM and by the time I returned from my morning run at 7:15 AM they had all the living room furniture moved out, the old carpet and pads removed and were beginning to prep the upstairs. Except for a few breaks they worked non stop the entire day. The crew was polite, courteous and cheerful throughout the installation. In conclusion, our experience with Carpet Depot, from start to finish, went way beyond our expectations. read more

All I can say is WOW. From start to finish, my purchase experience was World Class. One of the owners, Andy, helped me. They have a huge selection of products from which to choose. I was looking for a high quality product at a great price, and that's exactly what I got. The carpet came in on time, and was installed right on schedule. The installation crew, headed by Andrew, did a beautiful job. I think they went above and beyond to help me. I suspect that everyone who walks into Carpet Depot has the same World Class experience I did. In today's world, that a huge compliment. Thank you to all. read more

DANGER! Bought carpet at 32nd St. Phoenix store. Good price, good installers, timely install and paid to have furniture moved, even liked the carpet. BUT morning after install carpet began to smell and I mean bad! Burning eyes, headache, couldn't breathe, dizzy. Tried airing out home, baking soda, steam cleaning. Long story short going on 3 weeks later smell still bad and salesmen washed his hands of the problem. Promptly slammed the phone down after my second call to store to complain about problem. Haven't been home since. Will have to pay to have someone rip it out. Be careful what you buy from this place. read more

I go here once a year to buy carpet square samples for my place mats...they jacked the price up from $1 each to $2 each, but they did give me a free roll of carpet they didn't want so no need to complain. I've been coming here for at least 10 years to carpet various rental properties in the Central Phoenix area...but I was dealt with dishonestly on the last transaction that I will never go there again!! I had carpeted a condo in 2011 and purchased the carpet at Carpet Depot and I went back in January to purchase the carpet (same exact carpet at the same price) and when I got the bill I was charged almost $200 more than the last time I went there. He had a different square footage than from 2011 and I actually had the invoice from 2011 with me to prove it. The owner got all angry when I showed him the receipt and then agreed to lower the invoice but then said he had to charge me a $150 for not having 45 yards of carpet. Meanwhile, there is no posting in the store that says $150 fee for installation if you don't have 45 yards of carpet and the salesman never told me that while I was ordering the carpet. All I can say is that I can afford the extra cost, but I don't do business with dishonest businesses so I will NEVER go back again and I will NEVER recommend them to my clients and my landlords. With the owner's nasty attitude, I am sure they will be out of business soon enough though! read more

I am not sure who Andy is but let me tell you... BEWARE!! I am a real estate agent within the area and purchased some carpet. SHAME ON ME! The 15$ a yard was "too cheap" he had told me and should have bought more expensive carpet. Let me mind you the carpet is only 7 months old... and the tacks are ALREADY coming up and poking feet (which are extremely sharp like nails). I had hammered down at least 20 tacks just about a week ago. After calling 3 different occasions and about a 2 week delay I FINALLY got someone to come out and take a look at what a terrible job they performed. Once the worker had come to the unit to see, all he did was hammer down a few more tacks for a couple minutes then left...Now luckily I have insurance because someone fell with a baby in hand because of being poked with the tacks coming out of the carpet. When someone tells you "it's not my fault you bought cheap carpet" when the product comes from their own store is just ignorant. Not to mention their horrendous customer service you just want to cringe hearing them speak down to you after listening to them scream on the top of their lungs. I will most definitely take that mans advice and not purchase "such cheap carpet" from such a dump...which is all they're good for. CHEAP CARPET = CHEAP RESULTS = CHEAP CUSTOMER SERVICE. Do yourself and your blood pressure a favor and skip this place. read more

This places has fallen way downhill. Go to HomeDepot! Went in on Sunday to buy a 12x10 replacement patch of carpet, stain on carpet. There was only one salesperson. Looked for carpet from big box stores, other carpet dealers, and was not happy. Went to Carpet Depot and met David. He was an outstanding sales person and took the time to educate me on their products. He even gave me a free sample. Based on price and quality, I placed a larger order. The two installers were excellent and friendly. They did an outstanding job and are true craftsmen. Thank you all for the very positive experience. We had a great experience with Carpet Depot! We had tried a couple of more well-known and nicer places, but we ended up working with Ed and Abe at the Carpet Depot on 32nd St. and Thomas, and I am SO GLAD we did!! The showroom is not dressy or glamorous at all, and the lighting is terrible (it s basically a warehouse), but they were kind enough to let us take their carpet display boards home for 24 hours to help us make the decision using our own lighting, furniture, etc., which we did a total of 3 times; something that at least one other place refused to do. To top it off, our carpet came much sooner than expected, and it was exactly what we ordered, cut and bound perfectly (we had a 10 x 12 piece of carpet bound for a large area rug), and delivered within hours of returning their call. We could not be happier with our shopping experience! read more

Price was good, but ended up being $400 over the original estimate. Charged 30 for a bad job on a carpet strip at the bottom of the stairs.
