I called twice after my son picked up the peice and paid, so I left a message which they didn't call back, then went up in person. Was given every excuse why it wasnt his fault. This is the owner, so you know he doesnt care about customers! Do yourself a favor go elsewhere!! Do not spend your hard earned money here. rating os 0 for taking advantage of customers. note to the owner that just responded- I would never asked for ANYTHING free (illogical)- just what I was was quoted for a simple 3 inchx 22 inch peice. I took time to visit your store to quote a price then go back and order, have my son pickup visit to finish the purchase. this exchange / unrealistic response that the customer is looking for free is UNTRUE, I asked for a reasonable pay for service that I quoted; in fact you claimed afterwards there is nothing less than $100 service minimum. Which again was not the quoted/ mentioned for I would have gone to lowes instead. But I wished to shop local businesses , which I now regret.

Cardigan is a family owned business that has years of experience to back them up. I initially found out about them because my parents had their bathroom completely remodeled by Cardigan and they did an outstanding job. I wanted to have a back-splash installed in my kitchen, so I called and scheduled a meeting with someone to discuss the measurements and pricing. We discussed my options, I chose my tiles and we set a date. The workers came out to install it and they did an excellent job. I have a large wall that the back-splash went on, but it only took a few hours to install. It was a rather reasonable price for that amount of space. They have a stock room with millions of samples and they give free estimates. This is not your corner mom and pop shop that will do a job for you for $100 but trust and believe that when they do your job it will be done correctly, professionally and thoroughly. I even received a follow-up call from my initial point of contact to make sure the job was done to my satisfaction. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR ANY HOME REMODELING PROJECTS!

We hired Cardigan to completely remodel our owner's bathroom. We first met with the owner, Jim, in…read moreNovember last year with the intent of just getting a price and ultimately hired them to begin work in December to be completed by Christmas. The thing I remember most about that first meeting was the personalized board they had up welcoming me and my spouse (Mr. and Mrs. D) - a really nice touch, albeit slightly incorrect as I was there with my husband, and when we went back to pick out selections they had updated it to be somewhat more accurate (The D. Family). Jim, the owner, was straightforward when we spoke with him and offered a competitive price compared to the other estimates we received. After we accepted the contract, Jim's sister and the company designer, Kim, was particularly patient with us as we spent upwards of two hours picking out the various components for the new bathroom, successfully finding solutions to mediate style disagreements between me and my husband. Overall, we were both very happy with our selections and excited for the new bathroom to be complete. The workers were excellent and displayed great professionalism during the remodel. The work began in early December, but was stalled a little bit due to the cabinet and vanity not arriving in time. The bathroom was functional, though not finished, before the desired Christmas date. It has been three weeks since the job completed and we have been satisfied so far with the bathroom. With the work, there were two (both immediately fixed) problems that stood out: First, the new toilet was installed slightly at an angle. We emailed Cardigan of the problem. When they came out the next time to continue working on the bathroom, the worker immediately saw the toilet was not level, apologized that he didn't catch it when he installed it, and made the toilet level to the floor. Second, when we started using the shower a week after installation, the shower was draining extremely slowly. Again, I emailed and called regarding this issue, and they fixed it that day despite Jim attending a funeral that morning. One of the workers came by that evening with a snake and fixed the problem. I was extremely impressed at their responsiveness. Overall, I am giving five stars due to the personalization, work quality, responsiveness, professionalism of the workers, and our happiness with the final result. When we finally move on to remodeling our kitchen in a few years, we will definitely be looking at Cardigan. The attached pictures include a picture of the shower before the bathroom was painted, and a picture of the other side of the bathroom after all of the work was completed.

However, he couldn't put in the new faucet parts until new tiles were put in, which he didn't have the expertise to do. I had to find a good tile person ASAP. Thankfully, my search led me to Junior. He responded quickly and was at my house just a few days after I reached out to him. His skills and meticulous attention to detail are outstanding. On the day of the appointment, he arrived just after 9:00 a.m. and worked on the new tiles until late afternoon--literally all day. At one point he had to go out and buy more tiles, which he didn't charge me for. He returned early the next morning to put in caulking around the new tiles, which took him an additional four hours. I'm so grateful for Junior's thoroughness. As the attached photo shows, the new tiles look fabulous--absolute perfection! If you need anything done inside or outside your house, Junior Gonzalez is the one to call. Highly recommended!

I had, hands down, the best experience I have ever had with a contractor in my 15 years of home ownership. If the other reviews make you skeptical, I encourage you to give them a chance. Here is as detailed an account of my experience I can offer: Our master bathroom has a shower seat and two shower heads that spray constant water onto the bench. The homebuilder for this particular model was pretty stupid in covering the bench completely in tile, which I learned the hard way is not water proof. My husband and I tried for months to find a contractor to come out to give us an estimate to fix the problem. So many failed to even return our calls. A few came out, took measurements, and then we never heard from them again. One gave us a ridiculously low quote based on cell phone photos of the shower...so I remained skeptical. I was not hopeful when after months of searching we were able to schedule an estimate appointment with Metro Bath and Tile. I had been let down too many times before. The owner showed up at my home at the exact time he said he would be there. He was extremely knowledgeable, and had assured me that he worked on the exact model of my shower before and had a cost effective, attractive solution that would solve the problem from here on out. He took his time explaining to me what was necessary, and even though I'm a complete novice I felt I really understood. Then he took thorough measurements and photos, and provided me with a quote right on the spot! I asked how soon the work could be done, and he said with such a small job it was possible it could be fit in soon, called his office, and had me scheduled for the next week. He estimated the job would take between 3 and 5 days. On the day that the job was scheduled to begin, the contractor arrived right on time. He got to work right away, taking care to lay down protection on my hardwood floors from the entrance of my house to the master bedroom. After he finished work he completely cleaned up so that it was as if he never came in the first place. While I was unable to use my shower during the time that the work was being done, every other part of my bathroom was perfectly functional. The work was completed ahead of schedule, and the end result was even better than I imagined it would be. It cost a lot more than the low ball estimate from the random contractor, but I couldn't be happier to pay for the lack of headache.

Installers are good, office terrible. Metropolitan Bath and Tile advertised 10% discount on…read moremulti-room remodels, and we had two full bathrooms and one powder room to remodel. However, the 10% discount was only applied to the two lowest cost rooms(powder room and en-suite), not the whole project. Somehow a third room isn't included in multi-room discount. When a minor ($300) change was needed to the powder room, we were told the 10% discount (would have been $30) did not apply since the $300 did not factor in overhead. One door to the powder room vanity arrived with a two inch long split in the wood for one door. Both parties agreed to have $874 withheld from the final payment until a replacement door could be installed. The replacement door they sent did not come close to matching the color of the good door (replacement was grayish, good door was brown) The next time, they sent two replacement doors which matched each other, but did not match the color of the side of the vanity. One replacement door also had a split in the wood, which they tried to claim was a piece of bark. I then told them to just give me a credit of $874. They refused to give credit and informed me if I didn't pay, they would void my warranty. I've given up and will pay the $874 and be done dealing with these money grubbing people who provide inferior products.
