Cinnamon roll - I wish the frosting was heated up with the roll itself

Carol's Corner is a namesake in Vancouver! Large portions, low cost, friendly staff. I tried the cinnamon roll for the first time, and admittedly was disappointed. It was much better after I took it home and reheated it in the microwave.

Build up of grease on walls in kitchen

After leaving a review a couple of weeks ago I decided to return to see if the owners pay attention to their customers feedback. Apparently not since the same grease build up was on the wall in the kitchen in direct view of anyone sitting at the counter. While the food and service is quite good, the attention to cleanliness is not which is disappointing.

Since my family has discovered this spot, it has become our favorite because it's honest food and you get multiple meals out of it. When we get omelettes it feeds the person for a week. lol. The last time I was there I decided to finally try something new. I got a BLT lunch w onions rings. Lemme tell ya!! The bacon was cooked perfectly crispy (they asked preference). The onion rings were perfection. Not overly greasy. My family stole a few. lol don't be scared to venture out. So far everything has been great. Service is always amazing. We often sit with Sharon and Kelly. Both are great!

Great customer service, plenty sitting room, not too loud, and large portions. However, I think they could use a little more seasoning on their food. I had the biscuits and gravy breakfast plate and a fruit bowl. My nephew had the Mikey Burger and it was huge! He loved it.

Ham and eggs with cottage cheese.

I ate breakfast here on Sunday 2/23/25 I had the ham and egg scrambled and because I'm on the Carnivore Diet I substituted the hashbrowns and toast for cottage cheese. When the food arrived it was served on a huge platter. It was a large portion of food. It tasted great. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone and will be back again in the future.

What a hidden gem! Well maybe not so hidden because it was PACKED. Even though it was busy we still got seated in under 20 min at the bar. I got the CC hash HALF order, and it was huge. I can't imagine what the full order is like. It had a perfect ratio of ham, peppers, onions, and hashbrowns. The cheese melted while you were eating which was so good. And their country gravy is amazing. My fiance got the country fried steak with no complaints. We sat in front of the kitchen which had us staring at all the food. Wish our stomachs were bigger so we could try more! Their cinammon rolls, milkshakes, and burgers looked amazing. All the staff was nice and gave it that homey feel.

I have been driving by Carol's for a couple years taking my grandkids to school. There's always a long line out the door, so I never wanted to wait. But today, my wife had a breakfast urge, there was no line so it was our chance. First mental note, don't go unless you are hungry. They provided some of the largest portions of quality food I've ever seen. I had the 1/2 order sausage, mushroom and cheese omelet. The 1/2 order is a 3 egg omelet. It was huge, loaded with sausage chunks and mushrooms. This omelet could have fed my entire family. I also had the hash browns and ordered them extra crispy. They were served perfectly. The side of sourdough toast was also great. My wife had scrambled eggs, bacon, and biscuits with gravy. The bacon was thick country boy slices, again no skimping. It was a great meal. We also had a side large pancake, wanting to test a variety of items. Again, a huge pancake that could have been a standalone meal. We asked the waitress if there was anything special we should try. She suggested the homemade cinnamon roll. We took that to go. The cinnamon roll was a monster. It was after dinner dessert and fed the entire family. The grandkids loved it! The service was great and the ambiance made you feel right at home. It was a great meal and a location I'd recommend. Just remember, you can get a couple extra plates and eat off one dish.

    1/2 order of CC's hash

Visited today for the first time with my mom. Service was great and the staff is extremely friendly. We will be back, please make sure to get a cinnamon roll! I enjoyed the French toast special and mom had the 1/2 order of the CC's hash.

Carol's is a classic "greasy spoon" local diner. Big, sometimes HUGE portions of food depending on what you order. You aren't gonna get 5 star restaurant service here, but you shouldn't be expecting that in the first place. The food is always pretty darn good, and you definitely won't go hungry. *Pro tip- Order your hashbrowns extra crispy or they will come out pretty soft.

It has hashbrowns, bacon, ham, onions, cheese, tomato, top with country gravy they are always consistent

We were on our way to visit Mt. Hood that day and I saw that Nayhely's Place wasn't too far from where we were staying. The reviews were solid, and the food looked delish. I didn't want anything too heavy or massive and I could tell that the food there had a homemade touch. The prices were reasonable too. Upon arrival, we easily found a parking spot right in front of the restaurant. The restaurant itself was pretty bare bones, but clean, and there were several groups of older folk dining in. It was around 10 am, but it was quiet and peaceful. I love that this restaurant is family-run, and one of the daughters quickly seated us at a comfy booth. It didn't take too long for us to decide on our meals. I went with the corned beef hash breakfast while my husband went with the bacon breakfast. Both of us chose scrambled eggs, hash browns, and sourdough toast. Our food arrived pretty quickly, and I was so excited to dig in. The corned beef hash was perfectly seasoned, with plenty of onions and bell peppers. I've never had good corned beef hash (besides the ones from a can) and this was excellent. The meat was tender as well. The hash browns were perfectly crispy on the outside while soft on the inside, and the eggs were fluffy. The toast came buttered but we asked for jam as well. I had a bite of my husband's bacon and it had the most satisfying crunch. We added Tapatio to our eggs and I also added ketchup to my hash browns. Both sauces definitely elevated my breakfast. Overall, I was very pleased that the meal was balanced in terms of portion size and flavor and not very oily. I left feeling full, but not stuffed, which is always key for me when dining at a breakfast spot. My digestive system also doesn't always enjoy breakfast food after, but I had zero problems with the food here. I'm so glad we stumbled upon Nayhely's Place while searching for a yummy breakfast spot in Vancouver, and would love to support this family-run business again the next time we visit the PNW!

Given the location, I admittedly expected the environment to be possibly run down, but I was completely wrong! Lisa's is warm, friendly, and meticulously clean, with well-maintained furniture and a lovely old-school vibe. The service was truly exceptional--ultra friendly and very attentive from start to finish. I felt constantly cared for with proactive refills of coffee and water. At one point, our server even overheard a side conversation and brought something over without us asking! That level of detail-oriented service is hard to beat. The food was great standard breakfast fare, and I was impressed with most of it. The Chicken Fried Steak was good and a decent size. I found all the portions to be the perfect amount--not too large and not too small--though most people would probably say they were generous! My one criticism is reserved for the pancakes (which I tried, but thankfully didn't order). While they were very large and looked great, they unfortunately lacked flavor and had an odd aftertaste. They just felt spongy and a little "off." Everything else was pretty great! This is definitely a place I would come back to--perfect for a family meal or even for a solo visit to enjoy breakfast while reading a book. Overall, I'm already looking forward to my next trip to try something new!

Don't leave without trying the croissant bread pudding cake! You will not be disappointed! This bar is inside the Heathman Lodge which a great place to stay. I'd like to point out that an incident occurred when an elderly male fell in the lobby area, he laid there while front desk staff watched and guests walked around him without helping, we were about to help him when he finally got himself back up, joined his wife who was sitting at the bar, two female Hudson staff were observed helping him and his wife into the elevator and to their room. Ambiance: I had been here before (when I also got terrible service and had to question over charges on my tab) but that was a long time ago so I wasn't holding that against them.
