This lady today (wish I had her name), walks up to me and tells me I can't check out here - I had more than 10. I'm not from WA, so maybe they're strict as heck here. 1) No one was behind me. 2) I'm a lot faster at self checkout than the register workers. 3) I'm allowed to SELF checkout if I want. I don't want to talk to people. She points a finger at me to leave and says "I don't care you have to leave". We are both adults and this is a grocery store, it's NOT that serious, I promise you. It's almost a laughable interaction. I was just so shocked because I've never shopped somewhere where the workers care so much to hound the customers about what's in their cart. Let's start with product selection. It's still about the same as always. However, prices have seriously increased. I felt at the previous establishment, it was more like Costco. Buying in bulk to get a better price. Now? It feels like it's only a bulk option, not better prices. However, not worse prices either, so that's saying something. It doesn't have the best atmosphere, but it's not a store I need great atmosphere from. It's not a bad atmosphere either, which is good. It won't deter you from doing your shopping as long as necessary. As for the customer service, it's also about as expected. Maybe slightly above average, but that'd be personal preference at most. Overall, "Chef's Store" doesn't hold a candle to Cash & Carry. If you're looking for what this store provides, it should do it with flying colors. Especially for restaurants, its main customers.
