This was not a good experience. We walked in and there was no one there to greet us. Waited about 5 minutes. Hostess finally came out and she was friendly. Found out they were out of chicken, burritos and other dishes. Ending up getting the carne asada and pork carnitas tacos. Pork carnitas were good. Carne asada was very salty and hard to enjoy. Beans were also very salty. The service was terrible. We waited 30 minutes for our food. Tables were dirty. We had to clean them ourselves. The cheese sauce in the kids Mac and cheese meal wasn't even mixed in. It seemed as if they dumped the packet of cheese on top of the noodles. Definitely won't come back and wouldn't recommend because of poor and slow service, and several menu items weren't even available. read more

Impressive Mexican food! Overall, everything was hot, fresh and flavorful. Tried the taco trio plate that comes with 3 types of meat and a choice of rice or beans. My favorite was the beef carne asada, it was nicely charred, great seasoning, and incredibly tender. The pork adobada was very tasty as well, and the chicken was my least favorite, but still delicious. Their guacamole was fresh and lots of flavor. The rice had great authentic texture, but the flavor was just ok to me. Overall, delicious Mexican taqueria style food, good service, and the dining room was clean and comfortable. Don't waste your time. The place is called "Carne Asada Grill" and they told me they did not have enough carne asada to put in their $18 carne asada burrito. I got the $16 Los 3 amigos tacos instead with carne asada in all three tacos. The meat was good and tender but really lacked seasoning. They could've been a little more generous with the onions and cilantro as well. No salsa bar to choose from and the Mexican rice tasted burnt. My wife got the carne asada nachos. This was a disaster from the second it hit the table. The chips were most likely purchased at Costco in the big party bag along with the can of liquid processed cheese. REALLY!!! On top of that, the carne asada shortage was displayed by barely having any on the "Carne Asada Nachos". The last thing I will comment on is the electronic bell for the door. It's plugged into the wall next to the dining area and extremely loud. I'm assuming the volume is so they can hear it in the back kitchen area. Suggestion, move it to the back kitchen area where it needs to be heard that way it does not take away from the potential dining experience for the customer. Enough said. I really do not see this place lasting long unless they get someone in there that knows what they are doing with the food and running a restaurant. I truly did want this place to work out. The carne asada was cooked well but lacked flavor. The birria taco was truly terrible. The tortillas were slimy and soggy, meat was not good and not authentic birria. I couldn't finish it. Rice was soggy and overcooked. The best thing we tried was the horchata. The portions were huge but when the food is bad, not sure if that's a pro or con. read more

My husband and I thought it was amazing! He had the Carne Asada tacos, and I had the shredded beef flautas . Very very good! We live in the neighborhood and will definitely be back!! The only bummer was that they were out of chicken. I'm looking forward to trying it next time. read more

First time experience: MUCH Better quality food than a Betos, Gual, or other style Mexican food. The Burrito was $15. No rice. No beans. Just the burrito and some tasty salsa. Nice inside. Clean. I asked the person at the register what they would recommend, they said that they had never eaten anything off the menu.... First day maybe? A lone man eating in the back recommended the burrito. Tried Carne Asada Grill on their opening day hoping it would be a good new spot after moving from Cali First off you can't call your Birria tacos " Birria " if the meat isn't cooked in the consome. It's a shredded beef taco with a consome tortilla is all it is. The Carne Asada was cooked perfectly, however it didn't have any flavor or seasoning almost like they just put salt and pepper and called it good Traditional Asada is marinated with seasoning sometimes overnight It's missing the authenticity of Mexican Style Food and being a Cali bred Mexican guy I'm hoping they see this review as a way to improve and not an insult against the establishment.
