If I could give this place negative stars I would. The owner was so rude and ended up doing my nails and actually cut into my cuticle so deep while not paying attention that it's starting to bleed. She wasn't paying attention when she was painting or cutting my nails, which came out extremely crooked and the polish ended up coming off later that day. Big waste of money. I should've just stayed home and done my own nails and it would have lasted longer and my cuticles would've been less messed up. The main lady moves very quickly but it feels rushed. My gel polish has YET to be done neatly and doesn't look professionally done by her at all. (I've been 4 times now) I needed nail repair for a nail that was broken and she did my repair nail a COMPLETELY different shape (coffin) than the rest of my original nails that she did prior to this visit (square). When I tried to give her a heads up that it was looking to narrow, she said she had planned to square it out with the gel Polish and acrylic but it was still completely coffin shaped when she finished. I honestly had to laugh bc I couldn't believe she made this one nail a completely different shape than the rest of my set. It's an inconvenience to constantly have to come back when you realize they made mistakes. Which has been a very time. The older gentleman has fixxed my nails twice now. He does a good job and makes the gel polish look a lot neater. He moves pretty fast himself. But my nails never look professionally done. They always give an amateur or better yet a RUSHED look. The imperfections are so easily avoidable if they took their time and paid attention to detail. I think this place is okay but you can't be afraid to be very clear on what you want and have them fix imperfections before you leave. They are more than capable of doing good nails. But you have to be more than clear on exactly what you want your nails to look like. Like today I went and got my coffin shaped re done in square shape to match the rest of nails. He got an attitude and slammed the gel Polish machine on the ground when he couldn't find the exact color bc I wasn't happy about that news. I was just there yesterday. He ended up having to re paint all my nails (since he couldn't find the exact color) for free. They turned out okay....Better. Moving on he rushed the top coat so I have clear gloss coat that has dripped and dried on the side of my nails. Again, no attention to detail. Been going here for a few years and I hadn't been there in a while because the service got kind of bad. Went in again recently in efforts to support local business and I regret it. I wanted to take off my acrylic/ gel nails and give me regular gel nail polish. Instead of soaking off, they crudely took them with another fake nail. My nail beds are destroyed. My pinky nail is particularly in bad shape. He still painted over even though it's clearly that a piece of the nail was missing. I took off the gel a few days after because it was clear that my nails were in bad shape plus the paint job was horrible. There was air bubbles and dents everywhere. Don't recommend coming here. Took these pics to show you how bad they left my nails bed because they refuse to soak them instead of crudely taking them off. I've been coming to Carnation Nails for over a year. Henry and Kimmy are the owners. They are so nice and they do great work. Kimmy is an amazing nail artist. She knows I love bling and she will either come up with a design she'll know I like or I can come in with something in mind. I get so many compliments, people should know if you want classic nails to something more fancy you can get it here!! I love the dip nails, never going back to acrylic, they last a long time! I am very unhappy with my nails. I got an OK gel polish change on my toes. However my acrylics look horrible! I told the guy I wanted short coffin shaped nails and he told me that it won't be as narrow since I want them short. So then I mentioned that I want them off square and it doesn't have to be as narrow. Long story short he shaped my nails horribly! They looked sooooo bad. Then he yelled at me and said: what do u want?! I asked another polite guy working there to fix my nails and he did however my nails still look below average and don't look professionally done! I called in advance to make an appointment and asked the price for a fill. The price I was told on the phone was a $20 dollar DIFFERENCE than what I was charged in person afterwards. I got a very basic one color fill. The lady also used some kind of hybrid polish that's new? Which I didn't ask for. She just used it. That could be why they charged me more? But I never asked for that or wanted that. But they also didn't look good. I asked for a dark pink (since it's a fill) so you can't see through the nails and she gave me a different pink than I asked for. They didn't look nice. I won't be coming back. I really wish I had checked the reviews before I went here. This was the worst manicure and pedicure I have ever gotten, and I have been to a lot of seedy nail salons. I truly do not understand how they stay in business. The lady who did my nails cut me twice and didn't even say sorry or try to put medicine on the cuts. I love this place! Henry & Paul always give me exactly what I want. The pricing is great! I always call for an apportionment beforehand just because they do get busy and if you do a walk in there's a strong chance that you'll get someone who doesn't specialize in acrylics. Note: I've never experienced any issues with having tattoos, or being turned away even when I had FRESH tattoos. My boyfriend who get's pedicures whenever I get a fill is covered in tattoos as well... and they're always welcoming and accommodating our schedules to fit us both in at the same time. read more

This is One of the worsts place where I've got my nails done, and I normally have great nail techs, but I decided to go to this salon because it was nearby. She made my daughters nails bleed and there was leftover nail glue residue. They are the sloppiest nail techs and pay little attention to detail. After She told her that she messed up on a nail, she wiped over the paint on the nail with water to try to fix it and the dent was still visible. My two year old could've done a better job! When my other daughter didn't like the length of her nails, I asked them to file them and they assured me they would. I went to the bank to get cash because they only take cash. Then when I came back my daughter told me they said they wouldn't file her nails shorter because they would be ugly and she could do them at home. read more

It's a very poorly organized salon, both times I have gone there I have been touched or bumped into by other customers or their workers. The lady that was working on me talks to other customers, she drops everything she's doing for one client and has a conversation with others, I wouldn't mind normally but when the finished product doesn't look or feel good then it's a problem. The first time I went there to get nails she offered me the powder, I said that's fine. I was under the impression she would give me a whole new set, as I walked in with an old set and said I'd like a new one, however when she began working I noticed she was not going to take off the old set, she said it "would be more expensive if I got new ones, these are fine". No cuticle care or anything. Coming back to take the same nails off, she left my nails uneven while clipping them and then she tells me to go wash my hands and that was it.
