After reading the reviews from Caroline, Avey and Sarai, I felt compelled to add my concerns. I had been a customer since 1/26/2020, the day of the Kobe Bryant's family tragedy. As Caroline stated, over the past few years their prices keep going up 10% every year. The 'Owner' Thinh, said it was due to the price of 'supplies', Also, as Avey stated, their staff is very 'bland', and not very welcoming when you come into their very small salon. You can barely walk through the chair stations and nail desks. Sarai mentioned the lack of 'good customer' service, not just getting paid. Hopefully, the owners, Kelly and Thinh, can make improvements to give their customers a positive and welcoming experience while keeping their prices competitive with other local salons. read more

I made an appointment a day before for gel x and a pedicure. I was immediately seated and worked on. I chose the color I wanted for my hands and feet. Helen and Susan worked efficiently and quickly. I wanted to get a pampered before my weekend getaway and my thumb nail came off. I went to a different salon to get it fix since it was an emergency. A few hours later my index finger nail came off. I just got my nails done on Friday and a few days later they're coming off! It was unbelievable because it was my first time getting gel x done and I was regretting it. I landed Tuesday night and called the salon Wednesday morning to get my nails fixed. I came back to the salon and Susan fixed my nails and made sure the other nails were secured. The following week nail number three came off. At this point, I was already over the nails. Why are they coming off so easily? It's not like I'm doing anything differently from living my daily life. It was such a waste of money no matter if they fixed it or not because the nails shouldn't be coming off after 4 days. Sadly I have to update my review for this place. I was a regular, I liked it and thought they did good work but I think they caught a big head or something because clearly they don't care about how they treat their customers -which would explain the recent bad reviews too. I have been going monthly with my daughter for over a year, we spent a lot of money there. You'd think the staff and management would be grateful & appreciative but not apparently. They are always very cold and unfriendly, they hardly ever smile or greet you, then barely say a word when doing our nails. I guess I was ok to overcome that. My biggest issue is that apparently you cannot ask a simple question, or point out something: I have had Lily doing my gel manicure for a while and she has a temper. She gets immediately super defensive and rude if I ask a simple question, or point out something is uneven with the polish. It's unprofessional, and uncalled as I am a paying customer and should have the right to ask a question freely without fearing a blow up. Two days ago she did my nails and she told me "it was not her problem if the nails looked bad" and "if I was not happy" I was shocked, she made no sense at all and had to put her back in her place, which was awkward while her colleagues were staring. She was then so upset she barely thanked me when I still gave her a tip. I have always felt like walking on eggshells going there and got my confirmation they couldn't care less when trying to address with manager Tim via text and he never responded. Oh well. Their loss and I'm not worried they will lose more customers. Furthermore I saw how he responded unprofessionally to the last negative regular customer proving they absolutely don't care about their customers. Loved my experience at this salon. First time here but so good at removing previous gel c extensions. No cuts & no bleeding. The very pretty technician with pink hair was amazing. I had my nail extensions removed & a got a regular manicure for $35 total. No random extra charge for using my card either!! I didn't realize I couldn't put tip on my card so either bring Cash tip or use Venmo (not Apple Pay or Zelle). I'll remember that for next time. I got gel x w/ gel and Karen did a great job. When I was unhappy with the original color I chose she helped me pick a different one. My regular pedicure w/ gel was great too (I didn't catch her name unfortunately). The salon was clean and organized. The pricing is very reasonable for the location. I had an amazing experience I was with Tris! When she was doing my nails, I was able to tell how skilled she is. She is so precise and very detail oriented. She puts a lot of focus into making sure that the shape is as sharp and clean and aligned as possible which I really appreciated. My nails turned out amazing I didn't really know what I wanted when I got there but I just let her take the wheel and I'm super happy I did. I'm tired most of the time I come in, I don't make too much conversation & she respects that which I really appreciate. Kelly specializes in bio gel manicures but has done Gel x for me on occasion. Also, she's very gentle & doesn't hurt me (I have very small nails & most past nail techs I've gone to have always accidentally cut me). So sad I really liked the quality of this place for the most part. But man customer service can suck. Tbh, I haven't found one nail salon that has stellar customer service. I was doing bio gel with Kelly for months with great results. Not the warmest person at all (to me, maybe she didn't like me) but I wanted to give my nails a break and did a regular gel manicure because they said regular nail polish would start chipping after a few days. Well after a few days of the gel it started chipping near cuticle at the bottom. I paid extra for gel to avoid chipping and so I can go a few weeks with it looking okay cause I don't have the time to go in often. After a few days, my hair started getting stuck in my nails - reminiscent of when I was using pressons during the Pandemic - but I'm paying way higher prices and taking way too long to have similar results. Not to mention the gold "design" that was put on was so random and she left indent in my nails. So I called them (after I got back into town from a vacation; 1.5 weeks later) to tell them what had happened and from the jump Tim was hostile. Like why hostile dude? Why? He was like it's almost two weeks later and yeah I don't have time to be project managing my nails. I was just hoping they'd take them off for free or "sorry that happened" just something. Anyway. I just don't like being yelled at. Emotional distress is not something I usually want with my self care experiences. The one time bad quality would not matter if I didn't get yelled at when I called to tell them about it and ask for a more seasoned gel manicurist next time I came in. read more

I've been going to Honey Nails since the very opening and I've been with My manicurist Lily for more than 5 years now! Lily is the most professional, gifted and talented person i know. She can do any design i want just by me showing her a picture. She is very unique and I would follow her anywhere she goes. On the other hand I think honey nails and it's management is the best in the whole Valley. They do care about their customers and always accommodate me. We found this place from a simple Google search and were very pleased! We both got pedicures and I got gel x while my friend got a regular gel manicure. Mine was the Gel X that Kelly did and it looks exactly like the reference picture I showed her from pinterest. My friend's gel manicure was done by Trish and she loved hers as well. Let me reflect on my perceived contradictory feedback. First and foremost Tim you need to understand, I was the one who had the conversation with Pink and received your phone call. When you cancelled my appointment because pink had a family emergency., I had no choice but to go to another salon. I asked pink if she could smooth the area nearest my cuticle to avoid lifting. I asked her nicely and I bruised her ego. Pink can't handle a request from a client and lacks the interpersonal skills to see it as a suggestion. When I asked her to smooth the nail bed out she abliged my request and my nails looked good. This isn't contradictory Tim. You did not call me and say what you wrote in your reply. I saw many wonderful reviews & couldn't wait to book an appointment. We arrived on time, were seated & seen within 15 minutes. Tim offered a warm greeting which made me so hopeful. One manicurist GENTLY removed my existing dip nails & another GETNLY applied my fresh set. Neither were particularly chatty -with no more than one word answers & casual exasperations that I would dare have a question or interest in my manicure. Language barriers I can understand; blatant disinterest is obvious, cultural difference aside, this is a service job. My manicure color didn't come out as anticipated, but it was so gentle -finally no dremel cuts on my cuticle beds. Meanwhile I could hear things adding up on my mom's manicure. Upcharge this, uncharge that. Most places charge $5-$8 dollars for removals/changes/designs/etc. My mom had acrylic removed for dip (ACRYLIC!) & they charged $10 to do it. Absurd. If she wanted French style nails (dip) it was another $10; so she said forget it. My mom's manicurist was also seemingly annoyed if she had questions about her manicure/color/basic things. I was really shocked at the disposition of the manicurists. Even the woman getting a pedicure in the seats beside us seemed put off by their dismissive demeanors & gestured me with shrugged shoulders & eye rolls. That woman also asked why they had so many charges - so it wasn't just us. To which they had no reply & said, "because there's a charge." My manicure has lasted about a week & has no shine. I had dinner with my mom & checked hers, ALSO NO SHINE. It looks like we both wash dishes for a living - no disrespect to dishwashers. I really wish my manicure lasted. My nails are peeling off from underneath & they're collecting debris between the acrylic & my actual nail; so I have to remove them now - so cost inefficient. My nails usually last a month because they grow slowly. Overall, the quality is significantly less than what they charge. My only other compliment is: I do remember Tim giving us 10% off after I mentioned their rate offered on Yelp was not what he was charging me. I've been coming to Lily and Cindee for years now. Lily is a nail art genius. I'm a fan of crazy designs and tons of colors and she always is up to speed on the newest trends. I get stopped all the time with people asking where I go. They last 4 weeks easily. Cindee does my pedicure and her hands are pure magic. Best foot massage you'll ever have.
