My first truck purchase at CarMax.

Buying a car was incredibly easy and enjoyable. The saleswoman was exceptional, making the whole experience seamless. I highly recommend everyone purchase their car from there!

Don't use Carmax for anything especially not towing, you'll be stranded

Finally got thru to these toxic trash dumpster of a company to respond After countless Attorney Generals Office complaints filed against them. Don't go there under any circumstances to purchase a vehicle. They are just as trash as autonation, check the reviews on facebook, yelp and even the better business bureau It's a real eye opener.

Being one of those who really reads these reviews, I thought I would share my experience. After chomping thru all the warnings and good reviews online, I took the plunge on a 2018. Ordered on 4/11/24 from a store in Costa Mesa, CA. Arrived here in Renton on 4/23/24. Ready to drive and purchased on 4/25/24. Staff was awesome, process super easy, great the whole way! And the care exceeded my expectations.

CarMax is literally the best dealership. This was my very first time purchasing a car but I ended up financing with my bank instead due to me not having pay stubs to show. The people helping me were amazing and very patient with me and always answered my questions if I ever had any and we're explaining things well enough for me to understand! I was able to look at different cars and 24hour test drive this car I knew I fell in love with right away! Honestly it was pretty stressful but it wasn't because of CarMax but rather my bank. In the end everything went great, my car loan is being sent in a few days guaranteed but they were able to still let me take my car home! A great and long experience but I would definitely buy a car from CarMax again!

I have since replaced the 1 COIL PACK and my Armada runs good as gold again, kinda funny it didnt need a whole motor replacement. After speaking to the manager a couple days prior to taking it in to this mom and pop shop, he told me to bring my suv back so he could personally look at it. No apologies no nothing. This man, his employees and this Nissan dealership are crooked! They will 100% steal your money lie to you about whats wrong with your vehicle and show you pictures of something wrong on a completely different vehicle and claim its yours and then tell you to replace the motor for 22,000 plus dollars. Absolutely do not trust your vehicles here or at least get a second opinion before trusting them with your car. This place deserves absolutely 0 stars they are lying, conniving and manipulative. I took my 2017 Nissan Armada in to this dealership because my check engine light had just come on the week prior and when I ran the codes at O'Reilly it said to replace the cam shaft positioning sensor, so I took it in because after some research it look like a little bit more difficult of a job and figured the dealership could at least tell me the actually diagnosis as that code could mean a couple things. I took it in and dropped it off they called about 2 hours later saying that they couldnt diagnose the problem but that it would need a new engine more then likely. I asked them why they thought it needed a new engine if they couldnt diagnose the problem and they said they couldnt be for sure it needed one since they couldnt diagnose it but they were pretty sure that what it needs. I picked up my vehicle up within a few minutes and the service guy at the front showed me the picture I've posted above saying that there's a yellow film in my engines oil and thats never a good sign that this is why they think it needs a new motor. I asked them to email it to me (which they never did) this all happened end of March 25, 2026 Fast forward to this week 4/20/26 I pulled the engine cover off my vehicle so we could start to flush the engine (as we were advised) and I called the dealership today yo ask them to again send me the pictures of my engine that they took which after 10 mins on hold a different guy gets on and goes "oh yea you had the armada right, i dont have pictures?" Then after a minute goes "oh yea I do I'll send them again right now" as soon as looked at the pictures I knew these pictures were not of my truck as the last picture of the all black oil intake is the picture i took from the engine. They lied about diagnosing the problem then took a picture of a different vehicles oil intake and tried to pass it off as mine. Then charged me over 200 for the service of doing absolutely nothing. I will be filing a formal complaint with nissan! DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLES HERE THEY ARE DIRTY LYING POS!

Unfortunately, the bad taste left by this experience was when we went to sign and were made aware there was a "non-optional" antitheft device at an additional cost. $895. I've experienced these sort of mandatory upcharges at dealerships before. It feels very predatory. Had we not had a long day and drive to get there, we would have walked away. It will definitely deter us from shopping here again sadly.

Date: May 19, 2022. (sold my car here)…read more This place was one of the two businesses listed in the Kelley Blue Book's "Instant Cash Offer" when I was looking to quickly sell my car. I had an offer from CarMax already, and since it's right across the street, it's no-harm, no-foul if this business didn't have the chops to compete. Well, they did; I got $2,000 USD more from here than I did at CarMax (which was already $4,000 USD higher than Vroom, $5,000 higher than Carvana, and $3,500 USD higher than Shift), in the same day, after arriving at 3:45pm, getting all of the paperwork signed, and getting my certified check in-hand by 4:20pm (nice). The business owner and check signers sit over in the Younker Nissan office down the street, and according to the sales staff, go home around 4pm, so make sure you arrive around 3pm to properly get your vehicle tested by their sales staff. If the business owner goes home (they can single-sign a business check), then two designated check signers have to sign off for the check to be considered valid; I deposited the check on a Friday, and by Saturday it cleared, so it's legit (They seem to bank through KeyBank, for what it's worth). Also - one thing I will say - they'll lowball the price you get from the Kelley Blue Book (KBB) offer. They initially offered me $3k less than what KBB's "instant cash offer" was (and only $500 more than CarMax), so make sure you know exactly what your car is worth. I still somehow gave them a $1500 discount from the instant cash offer that KBB had given me, but I was able to get them to pay me what I believed the car was worth at the time, and go home with more than what I would have gotten by going to CarMax. Basically: if you want less of a hassle, just go to CarMax. If you go here, DO NOT TELL THEM what your offers are, since they only seem to want to profit as much as they can off of you (and it's really slimy that they do - they sold my car for which is $8k more than I sold it to them for, so why do they care about a measly $1500?) If you sell your car here, you have to still file a "Bill of Sale" online on the Washington State Department of Licensing (WSDOL) website. If you already registered your car through License eXpress, then you can pay the fee online and report the sale that way. Also remember to de-register your car on the GoodToGo! Website (if you use a toll pass), as well as remove your car from any apps that reference your old plates (such as the PayByPhone app, the Parking Kitty app, or ChargePoint / EVGo).

A big shoutout to, Mai, Trey and Dan from Finance. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to…read moreyou all who had made it possible for me to walk away with a 2026 Mazda 3 with 42 miles and a 3 year service, 5,000miles or every 6 months whatever comes first. My experience with Mazda Renton was great, and it sure won't be my last time coming in! Definitely a repeat after this experience. Behind it all, I have a unique situation and I had went to, Burien Nissan, Honda Of Sumner, Subaru of Auburn and Bud Clary of Auburn. All of them wanted to put me in a vehicle with over 100k miles etc and with 10k down, now they are lost of words when I had told all four of the dealerships that Mazda of Renton had Financed me with a fraction of the 10k requested down. With that being said, my payments and interest rates are a quarter of what all 4 dealerships wanted me to sign onto.

Very bad experience with Walker's Renton Mazda. I purchased a car from them and later found out…read morethat they added multiple extra contracts (like key service and maintenance packages) to my paperwork without properly explaining them to me. After about 6 months when I noticed these charges, I went back to the dealership to cancel them. I spoke with a manager named Den, who was extremely rude and spoke to me in a very aggressive and disrespectful way instead of helping resolve the issue. Later, after getting advice from others, I contacted them again and went back to the dealership to cancel the contracts. They gave me a cancellation copy and told me it would take 3-5 weeks for the cancellation to process and that the refund would go directly to my auto loan bank. Now it has been over 8 weeks and my bank confirmed that no cancellation or refund has been processed from Walker's Renton Mazda. This is very frustrating and unprofessional. I feel misled and ignored. What's even more concerning is that two of my friends experienced similar issues with the same dealership. I strongly recommend that anyone buying a car here carefully check every document before signing. Be very cautious with any additional contracts or add-ons they include.
