    Getting an online appraisal is easy, but there are things you should be aware of. Have your license plate or VIN number readily available and the current mileage handy before you begin the process. Don't be fooled if you are advised Carmax offer free Lyft ride within sixty miles radius, it's actually only ten miles unless you request express drop off online. For those who prefer an in-store experience, CarMax also offers express drop-off. This allows customers to get an appraisal offer online and schedule a time to drop off their vehicle at a CarMax location, where they can finalize their sale in under 30 minutes and leave with payment in-hand. Once the in-store sale is complete, customers can choose to receive a free Lyft ride home within 60 miles of the drop-off location.

    I would recommend CarMax to anyone and everyone. I've had two major car purchases since living in California and have NOT been disappointed. I really appreciate the no hassle or haggle when buying a car.

    Everything went smoothly. (5/3/2025) Got a quote online first for selling a car, and after they checked the car, they confirmed that they honor the quoted they gave. The whole process took about 1 hour which wasn't too bad. Had a good experience overall. Would recommend.

    Just wanted to say thank you very much to Roger for being the best salesman he was very helpful and straight forward i recommend asking for Roger if you plan on buying a car with carmax , CarMax made my experience very wonderful I don't feel bad about my purchase I'm happy with my vehicle I'll definitely consider buying another vehicle with carmax , I'm not the type to leave a review but Roger definitely earned it and everyone in the dealership is very helpful!

    I had a great experience with Kristen and Omar. Even when things came up outside of their control held up the process, they were always checking in and making sure that I had a positive experience. They were thoughtfully highlighting vehicles that would be the best fit and not trying to go outside of the budget.

Once I got to the dealership Ivan greeted me and we went to go see the Prelude. Looking around the lot from what I could tell Ivan took care of the vehicles he had, they were detailed from what I could tell and were very organized. When looking over the Prelude he let me look over everything, trunk, touching all the buttons, and there were some problems but just small things like the powered windows not working but I was purchasing a 20+ year car. After that we worked the final process out and now am currently waiting from confirmation from my bank and soon be able to pick it up! There's also a foosball table inside the store but I never got to use it. Ivan told me the store is family owned, and I would recommend purchasing your first vehicle, second, or third vehicle here because the service and communication with Ivan just can't be compared to regular brand dealerships better Update: The car had a check engine light come up but it was just minor like spark plugs and cables needing to be replaced. Just keep in mind some of these vehicles are old and depends on whoever the previous owners were of the vehicle you are interested in

During the conversation, Tony explained they have a "no haggle" policy, although I personally did not see any signage stating this, nor was it displayed anywhere on their website. The asking price was also noticeably higher than the TruCar price, though he did say he could bring it down closer to that advertised amount for me. I explained that I was already using the TruCar value as my reference point and still wanted to negotiate because, in my opinion, the vehicle being sold as-is and having some issues, still seemed overpriced compared to similar cars on the market. He continued to repeat that they do not negotiate, but said to let him know if I changed my mind. Overall, the experience felt very sales-oriented. Tony is clearly experienced and personable, but I would encourage buyers to carefully review the pricing, vehicle condition, and any paperwork or financing applications before moving forward.
