Five stars for the company and their business model. NEGATIVE FIVE STARS for the moody 18 year old that "sold" me my car. If I were rich, I'd be at Maserati- spending my millions- but I'm not. I'm a hard working, single woman in need of a solid, preowned car. I visited your Danvers location three times. The first time I was kindly greeted and left alone to browse. The second time, my sister (who just purchased a car from you) brought me in to meet with the salesman that sold her her car. He was friendly enough, but from the moment I met him he was bad mouthing the company. Not enough pay, he'd rather be elsewhere, he hates sales, the employee discount is next to nothing, management treats the staff poorly, etc etc. That left a bad taste in my mouth, but I attributed it to his age and lack of experience. We went on a few test drives, where the experience got even more annoying. He not only insulted my driving but he insisted when I brought the car back to the lot that he take it for a "real" test drive and show me how it should be driven- because he's from a racing family. He actually forced me to stay in the car while he drove up 95. I assure you, I can drive, I've been driving almost as long as he's been alive. Fast forward to the third visit- we had an appointment at 10:30am. I got there at 10:20 and he was in web sales and couldn't get out until noon. I'm in commission sales, so I felt he spent the time and he should get the commission. I proceeded to go browse the lot one more time before making my decision. He called me while I was outside to let me know his boss is an "asshole" and won't let him switch with anyone to come help me. 20 minutes later he miraculously found someone to switch with him. The next three hours of my life consisted of this kid poking fun at my driving, mentioning my sister's horrible credit and need of a co-signer twice, waiting, waiting and waiting. Now listen- I planned on buying a car that day. I brought pay stubs, identification, title, registration, proof of insurance, everything- so I stupidly thought it'd be a breeze...HAAAA! Wrong. Looking back at it, I guess I should be thankful it was only 4 hours and not 6. The young lady that went over the paperwork with me was wonderful. So kind and professional. The salesman was there while we went over the paperwork and somehow my sister got brought up in conversation. Apparently, not only did he sell her a car, he also has been continuing contact with her. That was a little unsettling to hear, considering she is married. The experience was annoying. The office lady was a doll and I'm very happy with my new car but a more experienced, professional salesman would've made it a five star experience. read more
