    I haven't had a car accident since 1988. It was major: icing on Mystic River Bridge. I didn't know bridges iced before roads! I didn't expect it. A car before me was spinning out of control before me . I LOOKED in my rare view mirror to see if I could pull over to the right lane, but a gigantic truck was barreling down. I BRACED MYSELF AND hit the little red sports car. Never had another accident for the next 33 years, maybe because I wasn't driving to Boston everyday! That's where accidents happen! In the last 2 years, I've had 3 accidents while totaling the cars. Yes BOSTON is the place where accidents happen daily! You can't avoid them! There is no space to be a defensive driver. Now I needed a car, in a hurry. I felt I should drive a junk box! But I decided not to punish myself!! My friends say"it's Boston; not your fault' So, Saturday I went to Volvo and within two hours I drove, chose My car, went through financials, got approved and by Monday I will have my car! The gentlewoman who helped me was outstanding as well as colleagues . One of them knows my family: small world! Being both Italian, we had memories to share about the good old days in Boston over a double expresso. Yes, while I waited to see the financial officer I had coffee , and the time went by fast! The finance officer shared his box of chocolates while going over documentation! What a treat EVERYONE was friendly , and at the same time, professional! I've been leasing a car with BMW for 20 years, but now it was time to buy a car I want to keep and Volvo has a good longevity record! Before that, I listened to BIDEN and chose an EV . WHAT a nightmare. I was told it would give me 220 miles a charge? So when I used heat in the winter, it would give me 80. Summer ? Same with air conditioning. I froze in the Winter and melted in Summer! You think a 50,000 $ car? No heated wheel, no automatic trunk closer and many more disappointments !! For 2 years I couldn't drive long distances , or give friends a ride home! YUP, we are not ready for EVs . charging stations were either Teslar or BROKEN!! Hey I tried. I definitely know I made the right choice : a VOLVO that runs on pure unadulterated GAS! liquid gold ! Of course , Volvo makes all: including EVs , hybrids.. WHAT ARE your needs? They don't mess around! You will find your car!How cool is that! While I was waiting, I was introduced to the Volvo APP. Many great extras like a free starter for 4 years! Go see for yourself!!

    I bought an XC40 Pure Electric Recharge P8 from this dealership! It was such a great experience! The dealership even took car of registration, inspection, financing and the license plate! I am so happy to drive a fartless machine! It's like a weight was lift off my back and turned into a beautiful vehicle! Thank you all so much! Bursting Blue!

After nearly a week before it was inspected, my mom--who was in contact with Scott throughout--was told the shifter cable was BROKEN and quoted $600 for the repair, plus about $200 for the new part, taxes, an oil change, and other related expenses, bringing the total estimate to around $800. At no point was debris mentioned. We got a second opinion at a garage on High Street in Danvers. They inspected the car the next day and said they performed a thorough assessment. They found nothing wrong with the shifter cable. Instead, they found a large walnut lodged against the cable, along with other debris, preventing it from shifting. After cleaning it out and completing the oil change, the car worked perfectly. Total cost: $50. AFTER this review was posted, Eric contacted us and said the shifter cable had come out of position and might eventually break--information that was NOT shared during the original diagnosis or almost week of communication my mom had with Scott. Being quoted close to $800 for a repair that ultimately wasn't necessary, and only receiving a fuller explanation AFTER speaking out publicly, raises serious concerns for us about the thoroughness and reliability of the initial assessment

I replaced the bumper with an OEM part and decided to give High Street Garage a try as Eric down at Pete's Garage has spoken highly of them when I have asked about Inspections in the past. I drove down there and saw an older man with white hair in the open inspection bay. I walked up, said hi and asked if they were doing inspections. He must have seen me drive in with the "R" sticker. He immediately started in on me saying he would not inspect the vehicle and I should go back to where it was initially inspected. I just asked why he wouldn't do the inspection and he just got louder and said "if I didn't repair it, I won't re inspect it." It was an OEM bumper for christ sakes, and it took me all of 2 hours to remove and replace. This was the first time I have had a vehicle rejected so I was not aware of the need to go back to the original inspection station. I would have thought that since these are State Inspections, the process would be uniform across all service stations. It looked to me like he was having a bad Monday and decided to give a bit of that attitude to me. I'll cross this station off my list. Not the way to treat a person or a potential customer.

    Beware of ira motor sales…read more Management Team Ira Subaru Danvers, MA Formal Complaint Regarding Sales Experience and Unprofessional Conduct To Whom It May Concern, I am writing this letter to formally express my absolute outrage regarding the treatment I received at your dealership this past Friday. I have never experienced such a blatant lack of professional integrity or basic customer service in my life. I work in Quincy, Massachusetts, and after seeing a vehicle on your website, I took the responsible steps of calling ahead to confirm its availability and scheduling a formal appointment. To facilitate a seamless transaction, I went to my bank and secured a certified cashier's check for the full purchase price of the vehicle. I then left work early and endured a grueling hour-and-a-half drive through Friday afternoon traffic to honor our appointment. Upon my arrival, I saw the vehicle being wiped down in the parking lot. When I identified myself, the salesperson informed me--without a shred of apology--that the car had already been sold. When I requested to speak with a manager, the response I received was a dismissive, "I'm sorry, that's just how it goes." To be treated with such indifference after I had confirmed the appointment and arrived with a certified check in hand is a disgrace. However, the situation moved from incompetent to absurd when I returned home. I received a phone call from a saleswoman asking if I was still planning to come in to purchase the vehicle. The fact that your internal communication is so fractured that I was harassed to buy a car your team had already told me was sold is the ultimate insult. This experience was a complete waste of my time, my gas, and my professional resources. I expect a formal acknowledgment of this complaint and an explanation as to how your management team intends to rectify the culture of rudeness and poor communication currently displayed at your Danvers location.
