I saw these beautiful cars but my wife wanted a SUV. The guys at Carmax were willing to provide me a lot but not a key. They said that if the key isn't working he would give me a hand

I went here to look for a car after I lost mine in the flood. They had some really nice cars, but I opened one car and it smelled really weird so I lifted up the floor mats and noticed it had water at the bottom. They had a "flood car" out there to sell. After seeing that I left because I couldn't see myself purchasing a car from a place like that.

Customer area. Very clean

Vehicles are overpriced compared to competition, sales team is not too pushy but try to stick you on a vehicle.

Don't bring a trade in here: The salespeople seem nice but the company "CarMax" will low ball you on your trade.

I haven't bought a newer car in a very long time.I had a 2005 Toyota Echo with zero problems and…read moreyes crank windows but no problems with it whatsoever. I always wanted a Mini Cooper which I looked at Minis and Fiat 500s online. In my sane brain I saw a Honda Fit at this dealership and decided to go there to check it out. Toyotas and Hondas are always good & reliable cars. I took a long time friend with me and when I showed her the Honda, she said 'that's what you want? It's ugly'. Then she proceeded to point to this red Mini and said 'that's more like you'. Granted I wanted a Mini but...I hesitated to get it. Hindsight being 20/20, I really should have investigated this car further before anything. The salesman knew I wasn't familiar with the full detail ins and outs of the Mini. We were there for quite a long time. Through my excitement about this car, I didn't ask a lot of questions because I wasn't aware of what makes up this Mini. The salesman didn't bother to show me what all the functions are on the dash. Unaware, I tested the wipers and a few other things not aware of the car's features and its computer..That would have been a good time for him to jump in and show me the buttons, etc. The salesman only had one key fob and suggested a reputable locksmith in Largo. He said this will be easy to do. The locksmith didn't have a blank key fob so he suggested to get one on any site. So I did just that but after the locksmith tried 3x to program the 3 new key fobs, it failed every time. BTW this locksmith is 40 miles back and forth from where I live. According to his computer that does this programming, there is something not right with the CAR'S COMPUTER! WTF? A Mini Dealership would charge over $250.00 for a key fob. On top of this disaster the passenger seat belt/airbag light is constantly on. I had to order a 75.00 sensor from the UK in order to fix this problem myself, because it would have been a $1500.00 FIX! By this time, I am getting more and more pissed off. Then on the tachometer a signal for a tire that is low. I had a reputable tire store chain look for this and then found nothing. Which leads me to believe there really is something wrong with the computer. According to the car's manual, I was supposed to do all sorts of things using the signal feature and the wiper features. For instance, there's a red triangle that has been there all along BUT following what the manual says to do, this task cannot be completed...must be the car's computer!! (SEE PHOTO). I took a ride over to the dealership after my 3rd and final trip to the recommended locksmith the salesman gave me. I told him that I am extremely unhappy about all the new but unwanted discoveries about the car. All I got was 'gee I'm sorry'. Needless to say an honest person should have at least offered some kind of monetary help to get another key fob. I didn't expect him to be able to address any of the other problems. I can tell he was just placating me at the moment. So basically the vibe I got from him today was 'it's now that you bought this POS, I'm done'. I seriously hate having regrets, this car just added itself to my long list of regrets. Dammit...I now refer to the car as 'The Money Pit'. I had to figure out and fix the wipers, they didn't work when I got it home. I had to replace the driver's side mirror in the sun visor. I had to pay a mechanic to fit the two side mirrors because the driver's side mirror got STUCK in a position that rendered it useless. My next unwanted project is to replace a sensor on the passenger's side seat. I think I miss my good old 2005 Toyota.

I told him what was goingon with the vehice, he took the time to come out, checked out the vehicle and took the time to explain that they will do an total inspection on the car. i explained to him how much i spent last time and was not looking to spoend that amount this time around. Dave called later that day to explain to me what was totally wrong. he gave me the breakdown of what everything costed and my car was ready the same day. I felt at ease when going in this time around and knowing that the service wouldn't be expensive. I spoke to Sheila, Dave's Supervisor just to let her know what a well job he is doing and i was totally happy with my experience. Thank you Dave.

I took my 2016 Camaro to AutoNation Chevrolet South Clearwater for an oil change, tire-pressure…read moresensor replacement, and diagnosis of a MyLink infotainment problem. I was told there would be a $200+ diagnostic fee. Invoice #782890 AutoNation concluded that the Radio Control Assembly was defective and recommended replacing it for $1,056.87. My question is simple: What diagnostic testing proved it was defective? When I asked what tests were performed and what results supported replacing the Radio Control Assembly, the service advisor could not provide an answer. Instead, I was told that "90% of the time" this is the problem. That is not an explanation of how my vehicle was diagnosed. I specifically asked about GM Service Bulletin 16-NA-326, which includes removing the F16 fuse from the rear fuse block for approximately 15-20 minutes as part of the procedure. The advisor appeared unfamiliar with the bulletin. Before dropping off my Camaro, I had intentionally left the trunk fuse-box cover removed and positioned it in a way that would allow me to tell whether the fuse box had been accessed. When I picked up the vehicle, the cover was sitting exactly where I had left it. I went back inside, asked the service representative to come out to the car, and showed him. His response was to ask me how the fuse-box cover went back on. So I have an obvious question: If the fuse box apparently wasn't accessed, how was the F16 procedure performed? I asked to speak with the technician who diagnosed the vehicle. I was told the technicians had already left and that someone would call me that afternoon. Nobody called. Nobody followed up. After I posted a negative Google review, AutoNation responded publicly with a phone number supposedly to address my concerns. I called the number and reached an outside company rather than the dealership's General Manager. AutoNation can clear this up very easily: What diagnostic tests were performed, what were the results, and what specifically demonstrated that my Camaro needed a $1,056.87 Radio Control Assembly? If a proper diagnosis was performed, there should be documentation and a straightforward answer. I'm still waiting.
