Then they add $350 for a simple tag transfer, which costs under $100, then added $799 as a "dealership processing fee" that has, nor adds any value to customer just jacks up the retail price of the car! When I questioned this I was told it pays for the people that work here! As if their profits, already factored into the price of the cars, isn't supposed to pay overhead and staff!! These people are the best of the best, and certainly worth my hours long drive. Highly recommend. My vehicle was totaled and I desired to replace it with the same exact make and model. In this volatile used car market right now, I was having a difficult time finding a comparable car, for a reasonable price. After emailing late in the evening to inquire about a car that matched what I was looking for, I received a response immediately the next morning via email and telephone. The young sales guy accurately described the car, justifying my trip. Upon arrival, the car was pulled around ready for the test drive. While this place may not have oversized leather couches, and fancy showrooms, the entire staff starting with my sales person were more real, so friendly, and service oriented than any of the fancy auto floors I've been to. I enjoyed the haggle free pricing, as it didn't keep me guessing if I "could have got them lower." The finance manager in particular was very knowledgeable and looked out for my best interest. He didn't simply print out the contract to sign, he reviewed each item I was charged for, and noticed a figure that was too high pertaining to the tag transfer. I would have never caught this, but with his attention to detail a credit was issued for the difference. Needed a 2019 Highlander and most of the dealerships were adding $2,000 - $4,000 to the no-haggle price for "reconditioning" and dealer fees. The Fitz fee was closer to $800. They also provided a 4,000 mile warranty which we ended up needing. The previous owner replaced the windshield, disabling the expensive "lane assist" system. Fitzgerald service couldn't fix it and asked us to take it to our local Toyota dealer. I was hearing stories of $1,800 repairs for this system and was half expecting Fitz to tell me that the repair wasn't covered. After 6-days of struggle and a rental car, Toyota finally fixed it and Fitzgerald covered the repair bill without a word of complaint. Fitzgerald apparently ran out of room and had to move their outlet into this cheesy looking used car lot. Don't judge based on this shabby appearance. The service, the price and the willingness to stand behind their promises "the Fitz way" as Jack Fitzgerald says in their commercials, was delivered. read more

I love Fitzgerald Used Cars!!! I just bought a Toyota Tundra that was everything I was looking for and more. The salesman (Chris I believe) stayed past hours to make sure we got the deal done and this was with me paying cash, which actually cuts into the money he makes. They even made arrangements for me to bring the car back over for them to do a cleaning and wash on it since the lot guy was already gone for the day. First off, I bought a 2004 hyundai Santa Fe from this car dealership. The second I drove the car off of the lot, it started acting up. First off, the compressor blew. As soon as it blew, I contacted the company and they fixed the problem free of charge. As time went on, I had to keep adding oil into the oil tank and another air conditioning part blew and it was going to cost me almost $2,000 to fix! To add insult to injury, on the way to the dealership to get the part fixed for free, the timing belt broke. I was over it, and ended up emailing the company. They agreed to let me trade in my vehicle for another of the same price. They have amazon customer service and if you're looking for a wonderful car salesman I would recommend Natalie! We have been looking for a used car for my teenage son who soon will be driving. We were looking for a safe, reliable, "first car", that would not "break the bank". Found an "as-is" Jeep Cherokee being advertised on Fitzgerald Used Car website. We visited the lot and test drove the car on a Sunday. We said we were interested but wanted my son to see and test drive the Jeep too. So we then came back a 2nd time later that same day and he test drove it too. He liked it and was interested. There was a question about an "oil leak" that their multi-point inspection listed, but without details. We asked for details. The salesmen did not know. They said they could contact the mechanic the next day (Monday) to find out what type of oil leak was found. We said we would be back the next day with check in hand to purchase the vehicle. The next day, my wife calls to ask what the mechanic said regarding the oil leak? To her dismay, she was then told that they had sold the vehicle to someone else! What kind of "customer service" is that?! This is at the least discourteous and disrespectful, if not outright unethical. And we had worked with no less then three different representatives that Sunday informing all of them that we intended to purchase the car on Monday. Yet they still sold the car, even though we had said we were coming back to purchase it. And without so much as a courtesy call to give us right of first refusal, or even a call to just to let us know they had sold it! This was not an expensive $35K car, but regardless, this type of "customer service" is what gives used car dealers a bad reputation of being untrustworthy, resulting in lost customers and business. read more

Completely dishonest with the condition of the vehicle. Less than 2k later engine needs a full rebuild. Purchased a miata from them which are known for being reliable (non interference motors and all) and they said it had a small oil leak out of the oil pan gasket. How about a massive leak out of the crank seal, valve cover gasket, pin hole in hardlines for vvt actuators and more. They improperly installed the new soft top, improperly installed a new window motor and failed to disclose the dent in the drivers side door. Not to mention two speakers were missing which they advertised as there. Additionally one of their detailers broke off the antenna, (they did send me a check for it but come on really!) They are hiding behind their "as is vehicle clause" and refuse to address the situation further. Idk about you but if a vehicle falls apart before its first oil change, the dealership must've really mickeymoused shit together. Been working on cars for over a decade, and never have i seen such a lack of attention to detail. Screws missing on the interior door panels, windage trays, and even the oil pan itself. DO NOT PURCHASE A USED VEHICLE HERE. idgaf if there is an as is agreement or not, if im spending 7k+ on a car it had better work as advertised. read more

I'd be very afraid to buy a car from here. My daughter's 19 year old friend recently purchased a 2003 Dodge Neon SXT from them. My first time riding in it with her, if we went above 35/40 mph, had a horrendous shimmy. When we got home, I checked the tires and the passenger rear tire was completely bald. There was no tread. Zero. I took pictures and a video showing how loose the tie rod was, but do not see a way to post them to Yelp. I took the car to get the tire replaced the next day, and found out that the driver's side outer tie rod end was loose, extremely worn out and on the verge of breaking, which could've caused a catastrophic loss of steering and certainly injuries and/or death, not just to her, but to my daughter and any other innocent person on the road. It was fairly obvious someone had switched the worn tire from the front to the back. That alone, should've raised a red flag that something was wrong with the vehicle. All this over a 14$ tie rod and about a half hour of labor and a 32$ tire. They are willing to jeopardize their customers lives and everyone else on the road, including their own families to save a few dollars, literally. I, and my boss, an ex dealer tech, called to address the problem and bring it to their attention. We spoke with a manager named Mindy. She was very nonchalant, said that everything is sold as-is, which we are aware of, but thought they would, at the very least be interested in the fact that they are putting unsafe vehicles on the road. We wanted to speak to someone in upper management, but she said she would pass the message on to them. We also inquired if they would be giving us a call, but she said no, but she will let them know, as if it were no big deal. Not even an apology from her either. Very scary that they would allow this car to be put on the road. Even scarier that this passed a safety inspection from their own inspectors. read more

Everyone was super nice and courteous, very up front about everything, and there was no pressure to buy. John Tarntino was the sales representative that helped me and when I said that I was only interested in one car on their lot they didn't try to convince me to look at anything else. When I said I needed to shop around before I decided, there was no problem, no offense taken, no issues at all. John was still super friendly. And when I came back because the other dealership was the exact opposite (and so was the other car!) he was super excited to see me and got right down to business helping me buy my car. The price I saw online was the price on the car in the lot, the people are great, and everybody truly likes what they do. I would recommend Fitzgerald to anyone and everyone looking to buy a car. Just purchased a used version of my "dream car" at Fitz. For the last week or so, I had been going back and forth with sales reps, with less than pleasant experiences. I decided to bite the bullet and make the 4.5 hour drive from Tallahassee area to check out this car I found on autotrader, with an almost 12mo baby in tow. The vehicle and price is comparable to others within a similar geographical range, but after reading about the "FitzWay" on their website - I wanted to see for myself. We meet Mike Hendry, and he is a true gentleman. I feel at ease right away. He is sweet with my daughter, and super accomodating -- I am feeling good about this salesman. We check out the car and get my daughter's car sear secure for a ride. Mike, a retired paramedic and firefighter, tightens the belt and gives me a few safety tips. Much appreciated! Sitting in the car, my daughter decides to choke on a piece of Mike's business card. I start to freak out of course, but then recall Mike's position, just a seat in front of my daughter. I was able to grab it, but he was ready to jump back and help. Umm..why isn't my husband a firefighter/parademic/emt/etc I start to wish. Crisis over. We test drive the car, and it drives like a dream. Unfortunately, we find out it doesn't have a navigation system which was a deal breaker for me, as I've had a navigation system in my car since the age of 16 -- I am pretty reliant. Also, I hate wasting gas and no longer have "time" to get lost with a screaming infant. Haha Anyway, Mike contacts the local Lincoln dealer for a possible loophole. We may have one! Microsoft "sync" with Lincoln "MyTouch." Pending dealership visit because today is Easter..and dear god I hope so because I got lost on my way out of the parking lot. If not, I may have to return the vehicle and that would be a sin because it has almost everything I need in a car. Fortunately, Fitz has a 5 day "no questions asked" return policy. Knowing my options (5 day return & MyTouch), I feel more comfortable because I need a vehicle ASAP. It gets better... This USED car with over 90,000 miles on it comes with a dealer WARRANTY. I forget the details but it's much longer than getting past the "is it a lemon?" stage, always a big fear of my husband's. They must believe in their products.. And not selling crap. Oh, and being honest about the condition & their findings... Honesty & full disclosure is uncommon in this industry. It just shouldnt't be! However, if you've ever been to an average dealership (and I am sorry if you have, I won't be again) - you know what I mean. Thankfully, Fitz believes it too -- they show it in the way they do business. I decide to go ahead with the purchase. Mike wants to see if we can get a better APR, and I concerned with the hard credit pulls. He checks and they can do soft pulls, and only one hard pull is needed if they can beat the rate. Of course Mike gets nothing out of us getting a lower rate, but he seems to have our best interest in mind so we decide to let them see. They try to beat our APR but can't, which is not a testament to their abilities but to our diligence to getting the best possbile rate through USAA, prior to looking. However, I am sure they will take great care of you if you come unprepared. While the team crunched numbers, I was on the phone with USAA. Mike and other employees played with my daughter and tried to keep her calm. It was great. Now, if they just had a play area or a daycare.. they could probably sell me on a Lambo. So, we enter the finalization process. Aka the "money part" which is always grueling and terribly long.. right? Nope, not at Fitz. Smooth and fast. I was pleasantly surprised because in the past it had always been so terribly exhausting, even with cash! We got the car over 1k under bluebook, with a warranty, and great service. Oh, and two keys! Mike Hendry is an asset to Fitz and I definitely will be referring my friends and family, as there are always 1 or 2 searching for a vehicle! And, even if they don't need one persay, I will be sending them by to check out the "no haggle" dealership model (so foreign to my GM family) at Fitz for future reference. My only complaint would be that th car wasn't filled up with gas. I asked Mike about this and there policy is: .5 tank for used, and a full for new. Though this is better than most dealerships where if you buy used, you get what's in the car, which they keep close to empty. However, I spent more on my vehicle than some of the prices of the new cars. This wouldn't have bothered me so much if I didn't drive hundreds of miles, and didn't have 2 vehicles to get back home. Still, my suggestion for Fitz would be a full tank of gas. At least for those who came a long way with a baby to come to buy. ;) I will be going ahead on Monday to see if I can get this nav issue figured out. I will keep you posted on whether or not I have to return/exchange and how Fitz handles this, if necessary. read more

I can't review the place specifically because I never went there but now will never go there based on my conversation with sales man named Bruce. We didn't have a ton of time to look at a bunch of dealerships and cars as my husbands car quickly and unexpectedly became unsafe. i was very close to making a decision by the time I called them but wanted to just inquire if they had what I was looking for. They didn't really have what I wanted so I wasn't going to bother stopping in. He sent me his business card via text and I was gonna look back into them on our next car purchase as he explained the no haggling, etc. Saturday as we were driving to buy the car we decided on, he called. I didn't recognize the number but it was coming from the area we were buying the car so I assumed it might be the dealership. The manager at the dealership where I was buying the car is also named Bruce so I at first thought I was talking to my car people and said we were in our way. When I realized my mistake I apologized and mentioned we had decided on a car. Mind you, I never met Fitzgerald Bruce at all! Instead of being a decent person and saying something like "great! Congrats hope you consider us for your next purchase". He got really defensive, literally said "eww" when I told him the type of car and mentioned all these recalls and lawsuits. I am an informed buyer so this was already checked on. When he wasn't getting the reaction he wanted from me he giggled sarcastically and hung up. I texted him to say how unprofessional that was and he texted back denying he hung up. Super immature and unprofessional from a salesman I never even met. I can't imagine how pushy and annoying they would be in person. News flash- there are lots of great choices out there for a consumer so it's best to be professional at all times and keep your puny ego out of it. I guarantee if my husband had answered the phone, that conversation would have gone differently so as far as I'm concerned this place would have treated me like I didn't know anything which is the exact opposite of how I was treated at lowkey Nissan. read more

I cannot say enough about the incredible service I have received from Fitzgerald. I purchased my car from the used car outlet about a month ago and everyone there was so helpful. I was a complete pain in the ass customer but they stayed patient with me and helped me through the whole process, even while I was looking at other cars at different dealerships. I feel so much more educated and I understand the whole car buying process so much better now and still, a month later, I continue to recieve over the top, above and beyond service from them. After car searching for about a month I really feel like I got a great deal on my car from Fitz. I haven't had any problems with the car since purchase, in fact I just filled my tank for the first time since purchase (it came with half a tank) and it only cost me $17! If your looking for a car good on gas get a fiat! The only negative was I purchased my car on a busy Saturday and this outlet only has one finance employee so I had to wait well over an hour for him to be free so I could finally purchase the car, but I feel like buying a car is the kind of thing that is always a process and takes time.
