They have refused to do so, and the car currently sits at their location (10/1) pending the outcome of legal action. Do not purchase any type of vehicle from this dealership unless you wish to be taken advantage of and treated as a dollar sign instead of a valued customer.

I wrote an email with the multiple problems I encountered on my first visit. I got a voice mail at the end of the work day and called back the following morning. I never heard back from them again. So its quite apparent they do not value new customers. This is not a good team to do business with. Beware my Mercedes-Benz friends.

I have purchased three new Hyundais from Fitzgerald over the years and fully expected my fourth…read morepurchase would also be from this dealership. After several days of phone calls and emails encouraging me to come in, the dealership prepared a written proposal for a new 2026 Hyundai Elantra SE with my 2012 Elantra Touring in trade. The agreed out-the-door price was $19,993.46, and my wife and I came to the dealership on July 4 fully intending to complete the purchase. After spending considerable time completing paperwork, the deal was stopped at the last minute because the illumination for my odometer display had become intermittent. The odometer itself still records mileage correctly (approximately 51,500 miles), but because the display was not illuminated at that moment, I was told the dealership could not verify the mileage electronically and therefore could not accept the trade. I was even told that, for all they knew, the car could actually have 150,000 miles. Since then, I have spoken with Hyundai technicians at other dealerships, as well as members of Fitzgerald's own service department. All advised that vehicle mileage can generally be retrieved electronically using Hyundai's diagnostic equipment, depending on the vehicle, and Fitzgerald's service department even invited me to bring the car in for that purpose. What disappointed me wasn't simply that a problem arose. It was that after aggressively pursuing my business and preparing a complete purchase proposal, the dealership showed little interest in exploring a reasonable solution before canceling the transaction. I later purchased the same 2026 Elantra SE from Hyundai of New Port Richey for $19,499.80 out the door--nearly $500 less than Fitzgerald's proposal--and the odometer issue was not treated as an obstacle. I also wrote to Fitzgerald's General Manager describing my experience and asking whether the dealership wished to revisit the transaction. I received no response. Based on this experience, I can no longer recommend Fitzgerald Hyundai.

I was sitting home crying having been through a rough day listening to car salesmen lie to me about…read morehow they'd help me get a car. I didn't have a lot of money but what I did have I wanted to spend on a dependable, well running vehicle that didn't have over 150,000miles on it for some stupid high price just because it had the name Mercedes. Most of the dealers I spoke to where so cheesy and fake my BS-ometer was just going off every time I saw through their act. I don't like to judge people because you never know what they are going through. Until today, I never thought I'd be judged or made to feel less than because I'm disabled but shopping for a car today it happened. One very ballsy person had the nerve to say if I wanted the car I had to bring half the total $5000 price even though my accepted app had a price calculator that said $900 down would be $81 monthly payments. Besides feeling awkward since no one's ever been so obviously hateful or treated me like I am less than them, I just felt sad and then I was FURIOUS. I said I would get back to her and promptly blocked that tacky saleswoman on my cell. Keep treating people like that and you won't be selling cars for long! That's when Yancar and Son's Auto Sales called. I wasn't very pleasant at first but then he asked what I was looking for and for the first time all day, SOMEONE was listening to me! He didn't hide his skepticism about what I could afford or my income. BUT WHAT HE DID DO: looked through his inventory and found the type of car I had been asking for from salespeople all day!!! He asked me what I could afford and he didn't try to upsell me. He said now look, I am willing to work with you and if you want this car and are sure you can make the payments, come on in tomorrow at 10:30. It's nothing fancy but it's a good car with good mileage. I took a list of people as references and had already got insurance quotes when I walked in. He showed me my car and it was just what i wanted. By the way, take cash or if they take checks, write one out because I had a bank card I couldn't use but I gladly went over to the bank and brought back down payment. Oh and they do the tax/title and plate there so you don't have to go wait at the DMV for hours! When I was leaving I thanked them for working with me. I am so excited to have a car now! I am going to take everyone I know who may be looking to buy a car to them because I know I was scared of getting ripped off and it was such a nice experience! A lot of these dealerships see some people coming and prejudge and this isn't that kind of place. I'm sure if you have big bucks they will find what you want but if you don't have big bucks they will see if they have what you're looking to buy. These guys know the questions to ask people to help them figure out what they want to buy. And if you need any information on insurance they have some contacts that can give you quotes. My experience at this business was a positive one and I am glad I answered the phone when they returned my call after the day of car sales hell I had!! I really didn't want to go but so glad I did. I know that this is where I will come to buy a car or get maintenance done. I didn't think I would find a place willing to work with me to give me a second chance. I hope this review puts the idea into your head to stop by and see what they have to offer. I think you will be pleasantly surprised! They can find a car that fits your budget like they did for me. I am now so excited to work on getting my health taken care of and being more independent. They got me as a customer for life!!
