I let TGP work on my 20 year old Mercedes diesel last week, had a water leak and I decided to get some regular maintenance done as well. Not only was the work done on time, it was at a very fair price. Mike even suggested some items that may need replacing in the near future, and noticed things on the test drive that I need to pay attention to as well. My sister recently drove her Audi A4 down to St Pete to check on our parents and almost immediately upon arrival started having starting issues. Weary of dealers up north I started to look around and see if I could find someone trust worthy. The appearance of the shop drew me in more than the reviews (being the shop is fairly new) and I told her to check it out. Long story short they were awesome. Not only did they replace a faulty alternator without trying to up sell me things I knew it didn't need they found two oil leaks the Audi shop we use here in New York missed and wrote off as "typical oil burn". Since buying my 2011 Mercedes 2 years ago I have taken it to Total German for repairs. I have been treated more than fair by Mike, Nick, and their staff. They have gone way out of their way to accommodate my needs with regard to the urgency of repairs and explaining every aspect of the repairs. I trust them explicitly. I would like to qualify my review with the fact that I have taken care of cars all my life including a 1972 Triumph Spifire and a 1967 Corvette for almost 50 years and consider myself more than just a "shade tree mechanic." I have stopped there just to ask a question and instead of having to make an appointment they "take a look." Who does that? The car is more sophisticated than what I am accustomed to and it's nice to know I have an "advocate" on my side. read more

Stay away from this place! This guy came from New York thinking southerners are stupid! I took my 2008 BMW for a clutch replacement which the price in the beginning was $1,500. When I spoke with them I ask how much are you going to charge me to look at the vehicle? I was told nothing! After breaking the car down he called and said he have ordered all the parts for the 2008 BMW without my authorization! I ask him to put my car together he then stated he going to charge me $500 just to look at and $800 to put it back together! I was force to get my car repaired! I wish I can download our recorded conversation to see how slimy this place is!!! read more
