I picked Service Masters Auto Repair from a list of local auto repair services for an oil change...I only come down for five to six weeks at a time so this was my first time needing any service done to my car. I was told that my oil was very dark, and they advised me to get an oil/motor flush if I intended to keep my car for any length of time, and that it had to be done before changing the oil, I told them to take care of it. It cost an additional $135 for this service.... Later that evening, something did not sit well with me this due to the fact that no mechanic had ever suggested this service for any vehicle that I ever previously owned. I checked the Internet and found that every authority on Google, YouTube, and Reddit, advised that this was NOT a necessary service for my vehicle. It also mentioned that on older car (mine is a 2015) that any deposit on seals could be removed with the cleaners used possibly creating leaks... My mistake was that I did not call my mechanic of 35 plus years at home, when they advised me to get the additional work done. When I called him this morning he told me that this was "snake oil", that service centers try to add this on to charge you for an additional service. I went back today and talked to Jacob, at Service masters, and told him that I felt that I was taking advantage of. He said that they feel that it is an added service that benefits your car and that they " stand behind their products and will continue to recommend them"... I learned a available lesson, to check on all add on service work before you have them done at a service center that you've never used before... read more

My battery and brake lights were occasionally lighting up together. A google search told me it was my alternator. When I stepped into the office at Service Masters, two very dapper dressed men greeted me. They were knowledgeable of the mechanics of my car. Ordered the part, and the next day I was able to wait only an hour in the office while they replaced my alternator. They stand true to their name, service does matter. I had my car towed to this shop after I ran over some debris on US 19. It was making a lot of noise and struggling to accelerate. They "diagnosed" the issue and told me that my exhaust and resonator were damaged, but they didn't find anything that would affect the acceleration. Something felt off, so I decided to tow it to another shop for a second opinion. They ran a diagnostic and discovered that my oxygen sensors were malfunctioning, which explained the acceleration issues. I then called Services Masters and spoke with Justin, who informed me that if I wanted my system checked, I would need to specify that, which would incur an additional $184 charge for scanning. I had already paid $184 for the initial "diagnosis", but their policy requires separate payments for different scans. This meant I would have been looking at nearly $400 just for diagnostics alone. When I expressed my frustrations and concerns, Justin's customer service was is non existent, at one point he was trying to hang up and said, "Sorry, you do want to pay our prices." I asked to speak with a manager, he nonchalantly said someone would call me next week, no specific day, just brief and rude response. I'm extremely frustrated that I took my car to this shop and let them convince me to replace my axle. I will definitely have the second shop I towed it to verify that the work was actually done and done correctly. It's unfortunate that this shop appeared to take advantage of the situation, possibly because I'm a woman. read more

Jeff and the staff here are so amazing. Came in thinking there was something wrong with my wheel bearings and power steering and was totally stressed out. Jeff showed me it was just a bad tire and some work my dad did was incorrect. He fixed it and my car is perfect now and wasn't close to what I thought I was going to have pay! As a woman who comes to get a car serviced it can be scary thinking you're going to screwed over because you don't know much about cars. Car was making a slight rattle at idle, I paid a diagnostic fee and mentioned to them that I think it may be an idler pulley or the water pump. They charged for a diagnostic fee, came up with an incorrect diagnosis for the cause of the rattle. I purchased the tensioner pulley and serpentine belt which they replaced for a labor cost of 300 dollars. They clearly did not check their work, exact same rattle continued to occur. I had to reschedule another appointment for diagnosis which they covered. They then said that it may be the water pump or alternator and proceeded to quote nearly $800 for labor(parts not included) for a job that was not correctly completed due to their own mistake. The one star is for the fact that Derek at the front desk is a nice guy, however I'm leaving with a bad taste in my mouth and do believe that there are shady antics/incompetence beneath the veneer. read more

Brought a Used vehicle here today to be looked at to see if I should buy it. For a small fee they drove it twice and put it up on a lift and thoroughly examined the vehicle. I watched the entire process and was surprised how detailed the inspection was. They found some things wrong with it and even gave me very fair pricing to have the items fixed, and to go negotiate the vehicle sale price with. If I can get the dealer to come down on the price now, I look forward to having the work performed here at Service Masters. The staff and my experience here was great. read more

TOTAL ROCKSTARS RUN THIS PLACE! I had an emergency issue with my serpentine belt on a jeep laredo and a part that had melted and I needed it all replaced. I came in there a little after 10 a.m. I left there around little after 1 p.m. they took me right away they fixed it we even had an issue with a defective product, that they had ordered and they had reordered it and fixed it again! I was able to get to work on time and now my Jeep is working better than it had before! I will never take my service to another business ever! The people who run this place know what they are doing. They are total ROCKSTARS!!!! They treat you like you matter and talk to you like a person. I was able to afford the work and be to work on time. Honestly one of the best places I've ever used. Very unhappy on my last visit. I made an appointment the week before and was told to bring in my car the following Tuesday. I rented a car expecting my car to be taken care of since I had an appointment and was a customer of theirs. I called towards the end of the day on said Tuesday to check on car and was told they hadn't got a chance to look at it and wouldn't get to it til the following day. I'm not a wealthy person who can afford to rent a car endlessly while my car sits there. I let that go and on wed called and was told that the person there was the only one working and he couldn't find the reason my battery was draining and nobody would be there all week because they all were out for the week and I should bring it in the following Tuesday. Who has the luxury of waiting another week with no car and keep paying to rent one. I don't know why I had an appointment and why my car wasn't looked at but that unacceptable to me. I thought I had found a mechanic I could finally depend on. I left with my car and it overheated because the fans didn't turn on. Which were installed be same garage. I took it somewhere else and was told fans were wired improperly and that was reason battery was draining. Cost me 80.00 and now car is fine. And they had it about 2 hours. Wow Jeff. You need to get it together. I'm sorry but I'm just saying it like it is. You lost a loyal customer. read more
