I have been looking for a car for a bit. I decided that car would be a Subaru and I wanted to try to take advantage of the year end deals. The staff worked with me to find a car that I liked in the budget I liked. At first I didn't think they were listening to my range... But they came back and we were good. It is a very slow process. All in, it took me over three hours. Everything was great but when I got home with the car I realized I was missing some parts. Sadly they wouldn't do anything to get the part for me. That was unfortunate but expected Overall it was a good experience. Just don't let the good cloud the fact that it is a used car experience. read more

Service, service, service. In my opinion horrible. Had my Crosstrek in 3 times and they never diagnosed the failed rear wheel hubs. But they did manage to cross thread a lug nut rotating tires and charged me to repair that next time in. Told the service writter at Bert Smith they were the only ones who had taken off a wheel... didn't matter. I had to prove w/ a past work order they had rotated the tires which is in their system he could have easily looked it up. Years ago I had a bad experience with Bert Smith VW to the point where I drove to Tampa to have my Macan serviced! Figured they couldn't screw up a Subaru... going elsewhere now. And first time in another dealer - in countryside - they replaced rear wheel hubs! Car runs great and so quiet. read more

If I could give a zero I would give a zero but there is no option. I suppose the only reason I would give a 1 is because the gentleman did try to help me as much as possible. But this dealership sold me a LEMON!!!!!! DO NOT buy from these people!!!! I bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2018 from them and as soon as I got home the check engine light came on. I then took it to AutoZone and had them read the codes to cover my basis just in case the dealership tried to tell me something else. The guy told me at AutoZone that they turned off the check engine light. So to make a long story short I needed the EGR valve replaced which they agreed to fix after much much complaining. After getting it fixed I then took it home and what do you know my check engine light came on again. I took it back to them and they sent it to the Jeep dealership and they told me it needed new engine mounts and valve cover gaskets. Which was about 5 grand in work. They refused to allow jeep to fix it, meanwhile my car has been in the shop for about 3 weeks at this time. So after much much complaining again they agreed to fix the Jeep but they wanted to fix it at their shop because it was cheaper labor which I understand. But I don't TRUST their mechanic and I was backed in a corner because I had already installed the interlock device onto my car and put insurance/registered my car and wasn't working with much money. So they fixed the car but meanwhile the whole time my complain was that the engine was taking to long to start and I wanted them to fix whatever that problem was. The guy told me that it was probably the fuel pump and that I could let the warranty company fix it once that kicked in. So I was going to try to get the fuel pump fixed but before I could even wait for that my car broke down after 2 1/2 weeks after it got fixed for the 3rd time. I took it to the Jeep dealership and they told me its the power control module. I was under the impression that the warranty i purchased through them would fix this. After my car sitting at the dealership for almost 3 weeks I found out that the warranty does not cover the PCM and that it's going to cost me $1900 to fix. I then went to Bert Smith and talked to them to see if they would help and of course they said no. I have had the car for 3 months and out of 3 months I only have driven the car 3 1/2 weeks because it's been in the shop the rest of the time. I purposely went through a supposedly reputable dealership so that I could avoid this from happening. I wish I would of just went to a buy here pay here I would of been in a lot better position. I am currently contacting lawyers and the news about this. They totally screwed me over! Again DO NOT go to this dealership!!!! I am totally disgusted at how they treated me especially after I told them that my wife just got out of the hospital after being in the for 3 weeks and nearly died and now she can't work and I can't afford to get my car fixed. read more

They would not help me. I am hooking it up myself, I just had a specific question. The manager of the service department would not allow a tech to answer my question. I received great service here recently. I brought my car in the morning to get some regular maintenance done plus a minor recall fix. I appreciated all the COVID-19 safety protocols in place here. I waited outside at a bench and did some work using their complimentary wifi while they worked on the car. It did not take long and I was pleased with the reasonable prices. Something I have experienced at other dealerships is an attempt to upsell unnecessary services but did not have that happen here which I appreciate. I wish I read the reviews before going here. These people are liars. Shannon tan my credit 6 times even though she told me only once. Her and Dino failed to ask me if I had a license plate in FL before (which I told them I did live here before). They checked the DMV under my CA license and since they couldn't find it under that charged me $200 for DMV when all they had to do is ask if I ever had a license in FL before. I literally told them I lived in FL and grew up here. I have never had so many managers and sales people not care about the customer or help at all. It's like they have a pact to just hate on their customers and never admit a mistake. Unreal. This is why they only have 2.5 stars. Do not do business here. I've been putting off this review for quite a while now. I am somewhere between a 1.3 and a 4.7...and so we land at 3. I didn't purchase the Subaru from this dealership, these interactions are strictly for maintenance. The work they do is always above satisfactory, it is usually pretty timely. Interacting with the team is decent. And everyone stays masked at all times. Communication is where this can be a miss for me mostly. They can take weeks to call back for appointments/scheduling. When the car is getting serviced we also have to call multiple times to find out status. Essentially it's just not super consistent. I also can't stand that they don't price match on oil changes. Super annoying. I keep going back so I am not offended or mad or dissatisfied. But also let's just say if there was another conveniently located dealership nearby I wouldn't be shy to try going there... read more

I had to pick a star in order to leave a review, otherwise I say ZERO stars. I have tried to call 4 times today for service (over 7 hours timeframe) not one person to call me back. It's about getting a key made. The last time I phoned the receptionist said "take a breath, cause they don't answer calls between 1:00-2:00pm. I know they aren't on lunch, the just don't answer calls." This was not my first problem with their service department but thought I would give them another try, I wasted hours when I should've just called different Subaru Dealership and had a resolution today. Take your business to Lokey Subaru of Port Richey. Don't worry about the extra drive time, their service department is worth every Penny. read more

It took them 7 hours to sell me car. They supposedly had it "detailed" but it was dirty when handed over. I paid for it to get detailed elsewhere and somehow they were magically able to get the stains off the seats that Subaru couldn't. The salesman was nice. Not pushy. I appreciated him- honestly if he wasnt there I probably wouldn't have purchased from this dealership. He made the bullcrap 7 hour wait a bit more tolerable. It's also worth noting that it was everyone's first day. Literally. In my experience that means management sucks. read more

Two days after I brought it home I had to replace the battery. One month after I brought it home I had to drop 800 on a new set of tires because the tires on the car when I purchased it were apparently dry rotting. Mike then took the time to review all of the functions and safety features of the car and I have to say we feel very safe in this vehicle. The service department is unbearable. Fist of all they are never available by phone, which is probably do to their approach on customer service. Dropped my car off with Zach at 9:30 for an oil change, where I was told that it would take about 1.5h. At this point I should have just left cause I'm not sure what they do in that time. I told him I wasn't staying for that long but running some errands real quick. I called him 4 times yet I was dumped into voice mail every time telling me he would call back before the end of the day. He called me 3.5 later happily telling me that my car was ready. When I asked how 1.5h turned into 3.5 he rudely replied that because I hadn't waited it took longer. I didn't know that my physical location has an influence on how long an oil change takes. Until they get their service in order I'd stay away from them as it isn't worth the aggravation. $70 for a 4qt oil change that takes 3.5h isn't quite worth it either. read more

Don't buy a car from these clowns. I had a dealer offer (via TrueCar) for a specific car and made an appointment to test drive it. As I arrived for my scheduled appointment, one dealer rep was showing it to another buyer. The rep who was supposed to show me the car was nowhere to be found. Yet another dealer rep opined that I could wait around to see whether the car I had been offered sold to the other buyer or not. Subsequent conversation with a sales manager indicated she didn't see anything wrong with what I endured. Save yourself the time and effort and visit another dealer. read more

Over 40 years I have purchased 10 automobiles from major dealerships. In all of this time I have never had a better, more honest, and constructive experience than I had last week here. Primarily responsible for this was the Salesperson Kelly Curtis. How refreshing to find someone who genuinely went against every stereotype that makes car salesman rank with members of Congress as the most disliked professions in the USA. This man is a no nonsense, no pressure individual who freely shared his in depth knowledge of the car I was interested in ( a cream puff of a 4 year old MINI Cooper). Without asking he showed me on his computer screen how theirs was the second lowest price for a comparable vehicle nationally. The overall pre-owned vehicle Manager Nate even showed me the exact amount of money they paid for this one owner car. Negotiations proceeded over several days, and both sides made satisfactory compromises. Kelly was straightforward throughout, and gladly acquiesced to my request to take the car to an independent mechanic for a thorough check. And unlike a competitor he held the car for two full days without asking for a deposit (see my Yelp review on what AutoNation Ford made me do in comparison)! This is how trust is built my friends. Next, that typically dreaded visit to the Finance Office actually became a most pleasant and helpful experience thanks to Holly Henderson. She should head up Customer Service Training on a national basis! Finally, the new car Manager Zack completed the picture of a business committed to integrity and fairness.
