As a concerned citizen and advocate for consumer protection, I feel compelled to speak out about a…read moretroubling experience involving AutoNation Toyota in Pinellas Park is located at:8501 US Highway 19 NorthPinellas Park, FL 33781. A young single mother, raising a son with muscular dystrophy, reportedly spent $10,000 on a vehicle that became inoperable within just two weeks. When she returned seeking assistance, she was allegedly told she would need to pay an additional $4,000 for another vehicle rather than receiving meaningful support or accountability. This story, now circulating on TikTok, raises serious questions about ethical business practices and the treatment of vulnerable consumers. Businesses that serve the public have a responsibility to operate with transparency, fairness, and integrity--especially when dealing with families already facing significant challenges. Rather than responding with hostility, the community should focus on lawful and constructive action: documenting complaints, reporting concerns to consumer protection agencies, organizing peaceful demonstrations if appropriate, and encouraging public awareness so others can make informed decisions. Accountability is essential in maintaining trust within any community.

My experience with AutoMax Tampa Bay has been beyond disappointing and incredibly frustrating…read more We initially purchased a vehicle that had immediate issues. Within days, we were dealing with problems that should have been caught before the car was ever sold. Because of those issues, we were moved into another vehicle -- which also ended up having problems shortly after purchase. When we decided to voluntarily return the vehicle, we acted in good faith. We dropped it off with the key and a written letter explaining everything. Since then, communication has completely broken down. Phone calls, emails, and messages have gone unanswered for weeks. To make matters worse, the vehicle has now been resold -- yet they are still refusing to refund our down payment. We were told it was "as-is," but nowhere in our signed paperwork did it clearly state that our down payment would be automatically forfeited if we surrendered the vehicle. Keeping our deposit while also reselling the car does not feel ethical or fair. We tried to resolve this privately and respectfully. We weren't looking for a fight -- just accountability and good faith. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience. I would strongly encourage anyone considering buying from here to read every line of paperwork carefully and make sure you fully understand their policies before signing anything.

The very next morning I called and told them I was thinking about going a another way and told i would like to withdraw my deposit and they told that I would not get my deposit back which they did not informed me at the beginning of the transaction. The salesman never did show me the carfax or said anything about the deposit was nonrefundable and I top of that it's just found out the car has a savage title if i knew that I would never put the deposit down on the car or even bought the car first place. So my first payment is due tomorrow so I'm going down there to try to get out of buying this car. If that doesn't happen I am filling a complaint with the state BBB and who ever I can file one with. Stay far away from this dealership
