I reached out to the dealer to schedule an appointment for annual service, a pre-sale inspection,…read moreand to address an issue with the cruise control switch on my 2015 S1000R. Dale Kramer from the dealer eventually told me that the next available appointment is July 21st, at which point I said let's schedule but I may have to cancel if my motorcycle sells. The dealer then refused to schedule with me because I indicated I may have to cancel if the bike sells. Apparently they only schedule "confirmed" service appointments. Since 2006, I've owned over 20 different BMW's including currently owning a m750LI, M8 Competition, X5 45e, and my S1000R. My intent was to sell the S1000R before summer and order a M1000XR. I can tell you now, I have ZERO intent in purchasing another Beemer if this is the level of service to be expected. I've never experienced this level of terrible service from ANY car or motorcycle brand and will not support any brand that believes this is an acceptable level of service. I've attached the messages regarding my service inquiry. I don't believe my request was unreasonable.

I visited this dealership on January 28th for a Triple Black BMW R 1300 GSA. I chose to support…read morethis local shop even though I had a prior out of state offer for a 300 mile demo unit that was $1,750 lower. I have already spent thousands of dollars purchasing motorcycle gear from this dealership, yet this loyalty was a massive mistake. I placed a $1,000 deposit on January 28th after Dale Kramer told me verbally it was fully refundable and promised to call if another buyer was interested. He never called. During inspection, I did not see the bike lacked the top box carrier rack because it was hidden by soft luggage. When I discovered this less than a week later, Dale told me it would cost $1,200 to add it. When I raised concerns, Dale tried to push a red bike on me and intentionally lied about technical specs, claiming the "Comfort" suspension has the same travel as a standard GSA. It is actually 20mm (0.8 inches) lower. I texted on February 5th to cancel, but Dale is refusing my refund, claiming he had "multiple buyers" and is trying to force me to buy other merchandise. I strongly suggest everyone record their conversations here. I did exactly that. I have filed a credit card dispute and am filing claims with the Ohio Attorney General and BBB. I am taking this to Small Claims Court where my recorded evidence will be used.

Let this serve as a major red flag to anyone considering entrusting their vehicle to ClevelandMoto…read more Based on his rhetoric and professed expertise on all things Piaggio and Moto Guzzi as relayed to me during our initial conversation, I anticipated a knowledgeable and thorough evaluation and repair of my new, under warranty Piaggio Beverly 400 from Phil Waters. At 350 miles my oil warning light came on. I did NOT purchase the scooter from ClevelandMoto but, as the closest authorized Piaggio service facility, I took it there for repair where I was assured by Waters that he'd resolve the issue. Over the next month, after multiple phone calls and an additional personal visit to his dealership at 2 weeks after drop-off, I was told that his request for parts from Piaggio was denied and that I should contact Piaggio personally to motivate their regional service managers as he could not execute the repair - allegedly a full wiring harness replacement - without their involvement. I contacted Piaggio Corporate and they responded and intervened almost immediately. They communicated with me and ClevelandMoto in a timely and professional manner via both phone and email. However, at day 28 with my scooter still in his shop, I was notified by Waters/ClevelandMoto that the repair had not and would not be executed due to man-hours required for the repair and parts availability. At that point, after 30 days of down time and with no repair, I was advised by Piaggio Corporate that dedicated national technical support along with guaranteed parts acquisition were made available to ClevelandMoto, and, as their dealer showed a continued reluctance to initiate a repair, I was directed by Piaggio to have the scooter transported at their expense to a different Piaggio dealer. On the day of pick-up I requested a work order and was told one wasn't available. I was also advised by Waters to pursue a Lemon Law action against Piaggio. The scooter was transported to Pony Powersports, Columbus, Ohio, and an electrical fault with the oil sensor was located and repaired. Total warranty time charged to Piaggio - 2 hours. Kudos to both Piaggio and Pony Powersports. They did in 2 hours what ClevelandMoto and Phil Waters couldn't or wouldn't do in 30 days.

On the scheduled pick up day came and I had not been contacted by anyone, So I called salesman Don…read moreand he said Yes your Ryker is ready and we scheduled my pickup for 5 pm that day. It wasn't ready when we got there so we waited a bit, when the builder finally brought it out to me it wasn't even finished, the frunk on the front wouldn't latch at all, the side panels were not installed and the emblem on the front was jacked up. When I asked the builder Gary who built my Ryker where the side panels are he claimed they don't come with the bike, I said yes they do and he proceeded to argue with me and was very rude, my boyfriend got very upset with how I was being treated by this man and spoke up and then there was arguing between him the builder and the salesman, the salesman walked over to another employee and right in front of us said someone else needs to deal with my boyfriend as he will not and walked away. Before The salesman stomped away he did say that on my scheduled build day for my Ryker the builder went home because of the heat and then the build was never rescheduled so when i called on the scheduled delivery day they did a rush build, He also said that they often over promise and under deliver and that they are working on that. Sarah the manager came over and helped us, she was very kind and professional, they took my bike back in the shop and finished assembling it and fix the emblem. The salesman did come back out because he had to show me the bike and get us on our way. He showed me where the important things i needed to know, brakes, lights, gas tank. Then we left with the Ryker. So get home mind you we live an hour and a half away, I take my owner's manual to start reading it and there is a Pre delivery checklist that the builder is supposed to fill out while building the Ryker and it's completely blank he never did it and I guess it's pretty important because they were supposed to go over it at pick up with me as I'm supposed to sign it so I reach back out and let the salesman Don know about it, he sends me a text telling me to come back out and have it filled out so Im covered. I don't like that answer so I reach back out to the manager Sarah and she says to mail it back to them so it can be filled out, I also expressed to her my concern for my safety as how do I know this very incompetent builder Gary even built it correctly. She stated they have a build report there they can go by. Then after only riding it 4 times I'm out on the Ryker and it starts beeping at ne and across the dash it says limp mode and showed 4 different codes. I once again call Sarah and she knows how unhappy I am with the Bedford location and made arrangements for the Lodi location to come pick up my Ryker and see what's going on. They picked it up on Tuesday and I calked to check on it because I want to know what went wrong, how did they correct any issues but am told nothing other than the mechanic reset things and wanted to put a few miles on it to be sure and they would schedule to bring it back to me on Friday. I do appreciate Lodi taking the time to come get it and bring it back, I got my Ryker back on Friday but no one communicated anything with me about the service they did, I asked the delivery guy if he knew anything but he did not, but he was very kind and professional too. I'm still left with questions but they don't seem to care. This was supposed to be a good fun experience and it has been anything but that. I guess once the money is handed over to them they just don't care. Im beyond frustration and will be reaching out to corporate about everything, And they lost a sale because my sister in law loves mine and now is getting one so we can ride together, but after the horrendous issues she will buy hers somewhere else. .

I like to be able to talk about modifications to my bike with out some one making a hard sale to purchase parts. Willing to share experience and make suggestions. I also do not like the high power sales tactics on purchasing a new bike. Really, I have a few. I do not need a new bike. If the want to do some thing for me convince my boss to let me have more time off to ride. If not fix the traffic in to Cleveland so I can ride all summer long. I do have to say that the prices are bit higher than what I can purchase parts with shipping cheaper at some of the larger online stores. I know that working on bikes requires special skills. But some of the modifications do not require special skills. I think the cost of labor should be tiered based off the type of work being done.

The salesman said the $500 deposit required to do a test ride WAS refundable. But when I got there the paperwork said it was not refundable. The salesman's attitude was "you sat on the bike and liked it so why would you not buy it?" My response was and is: you don't really know how a bike fits you and how it performs until you ride it. Furthermore, the test ride is limited to 1.3 miles on a local road with a 45mph limit. I did end up buying the bike and had it shipped to me. When the bike arrived, the battery was dead. I had to charge it to get it started. About a week later I texted, and called and spoke to the salesman to ask if he could tell me if the oil had been changed before I bought the bike. He never got back to me with the answer.
