Ai ordering is absolutely horrible Drove to the window and was refused service he told us we had to drive around. Absolutely terrible person who didn't care about a customer. read more

Absolutely terrible experience at Carl's Jr.. I stood at the counter for about 5 minutes with NO ONE up front to even acknowledge me. When I finally got helped, the food still wasn't ready on time. Customer service was nonexistent and the whole place felt unorganized. Definitely not what you expect when you're just trying to grab a quick meal. I won't be coming back. read more

Carl's Jr - Been standing for 5 minutes and have had 0 help. Ridiculous - Fast Food Near Me - Palm Desert, California

Came in, manager took my order. She wasn't really acknowledging me when I ordered and distracted counting money. Drink dispenser didn't work properly. Ice didn't work and for Powerade we had to ask for them to do it through the drive thru drink dispenser. Got my order and the hamburger that I stated TWICE It had to be plain (only bread and meat) came with cheese. Very annoying to deal with mediocre service and get food order wrong. read more

Carl's Jr - Doors locked and everything shut. Lady claimed they close at 10. It was 9:50 when I got there. - Fast Food Near Me - Palm Desert, California

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was so frustrating that I feel obligated to warn others. I went through the drive-through and placed my order with the AI system, which already felt impersonal and confusing. When I got my food, my order was wrong. Normally, mistakes happen, that's not the issue. The issue is how it was handled afterward. I called the store to get help and the person who answered Alex said I would have to call back to speak to the manager and finally when I spoke with the manager, Vicky, who was completely unwilling to help. No apology, no effort to fix the mistake, no concern whatsoever for the customer. I explained that I only had a 30-minute lunch break, and instead of offering a solution, I was met with indifference and dismissiveness. What should have been a quick lunch turned into wasted time, frustration, and hunger. I didn't have the luxury to come back, wait again, or argue and yet there was zero accountability from management. That is unacceptable. If this is how customer service is handled, especially when the restaurant is pushing AI ordering systems that clearly aren't reliable, then management should at least be prepared to fix mistakes when they happen. Instead, I was made to feel like my time and money didn't matter. This experience completely ruined my lunch break and left me feeling ignored and disrespected. I will not be returning, and I strongly recommend others think twice before relying on this location if you're on a tight schedule or expect basic customer service. Worst customer service and place to eat Carls Jr. read more

Am a regular to this CJ. This morning rude server acted like she wanted to pick a fight. At the drive-thru pickup window I said "the menu board is not lit." She said "Yes, it it." I replied 'I was just there and it's not lit." Her response "oh, yes it it". A better response (no matter which of us was right) would have been "Thanks. I'll check on that next." Left a bad impression read more

Would like to give four, but the service is ALWAYS SLOOOOOOW (not today though GREAT job)!!!! Don't stop here if you're in hurry you'll leave pissed (I've been here several times). On the positive side: ALWAYS very friendly. I LOVE their AI ordering system! Food is good enough and they have varied options compared to other burger fast food places. read more

AI is terrible! Menu doesn't work in drive thru. You have to order at the window and it takes over 5-10 for fast food.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Customer service is NON EXISTENT. Let me explain. I was excited to come to Carls for breakfast and I was actually having a great morning so far, but u fortunately, Lisa, who worked at 6:55 AM on 10/2/25 had other plans for her customers because she chose to be confrontational and very rude regarding the AI ordering errors. When I pulled to the ordering speaker the AI assistant asked what I would like and I had a simple question regarding a special but the AI could not answer it and rather, just added something to my order without confirming with me. I struggled with the AI for about 7 minutes trying to ask one question before I just pulled up to the front window where I was immediately scolded for not ordering with the AI by this terrible worker with a shit attitude names Lisa. It's a Mexican woman who has some visible tattoos and an insanely rude demeanor. She not only stated that she heard me ordering the whole time but that she heard the exact question I was asking that the AI wasn't answering regarding specials, yet did not choose to use her headset to speak with me. Mind you, there was not a single soul anywhere near that Carl's Jr. I was the sole customer at the entire property and I was treated like I was bothering her doing her job. I will never return to this Carl's Jr to eat and I will make sure to follow up on the disciplinary action that needs to be taken to ensure this poor employee who chooses to question customers based off of their difficulties using an automated system that isn't working is reprimanded for their actions. I visited this restaurant once, for 10 minutes, and I will never return. Do NOT waste your money here. So management at Carl's Jr, you need to seriously reevaluate your employee by the name of Lisa who worked at 6:55 AM on 10/2/25. I will be following up on this. read more

Worst CJ around ALWAYS makes me park in the front to wait for drive through food. I don't have an extra 10-15 minutes in the morning that's why I choose "fast" food. read more

Wow. I was the only customer in the drive thru. I ordered a 5 piece chicken tenders and onion rings. I waited at the window for 12 minutes to get my food. And that order was $14.20! I'm done with CJ. Plus their employee at the window looked like a gang member. read more

I made an Uber Eats order. Someone stole my order AT THE STORE and they refused to remake it. I called and spoke to a woman who BLAMED ME like I am running some scheme while the driver is literally waiting right there (so sorry, my driver friend...wish i still had a way to tip you!!!!). Then she said she would have to call the manager and hung up on me like she had any way to call me back. When I called her back, she said the manager said that Uber would have to call them directly to tell to remake it for me Yeah, Uber isn't doing that. No one has time to waste because you let people walk in and steal. Uber did refund me right away though and I ordered from Burger King right next door. They happened to be having a promotion too for a free Whopper. So yummy. Better food, better price, better service. read more

I'm not sure what is going on with the Carl's Jr. locations in the desert... ? But I have to keep it real. They are pretty lousy. The food is not to the normal Carl's Jr. standard; isn't as fresh and sometimes they mess up your order. Having said that, this location I had the most luck with compared to the other desert region locations. The food just isn't as fresh out here and I'm not sure why. THIS one is the safest Carl's Jr. to eat at in the desert. Stay away from the other ones. This one has the best service and the food is the freshest. There are still mistakes, I was disappointed a couple times after coming here (food overcooked, forgot item, etc) but left happy most of the time. This one gets crowded and there's usually a line in the Drive-Thru. Overall this was my Carl's Jr. I would hit once a week on my lunch break. read more

I ordered a famous Star with cheese, fries, and a Diet Coke. After working long shift at the hospital hospital I was starving. I paid my $11 and got my bag of food. Fry's were old cold. They definitely have been sitting around for quite some time. My drink had two ice cubes in it and was flat like that drink has just been sitting around sometime also. Hamburger was cold as well. read more

Have never placed an order without having to be asked to pull around to the front to wait for my food. Even when it's just one meal.

Service was terrible. They forgot part of my order so I went back to get it, the worker had an attitude when told to pick it up from the window. Didn't even apologize for the incident. When asked for more ranch they stated they can only give one ranch for the 5 piece chicken tenders. Overall rude people working here. The automated order system was the nicest thing to talk to and that's saying something. Will not be coming back. read more

Carl's Jr @ 36879 Cook St, Palm Desert, CA 92211 I went into the drivethru at about 10:25 a.m., Monday Oct. 24, 2022. Waited. Got to the speaker, queried about a biscuit special, could not hear the response, Queried again. Got yelled at, from the speaker. Asked "What!?!" Got snarled at from the speaker, "BREAKFAST IS CLOSED!!!!!" It was 10:36. Did I deserve to be treated so unbelievably rudely? For not getting it? This place has a real problem. I just love this place. Great for a quick and cheap breakfast or lunch. Love their French toast sticks. So crunchy and hot and delicious with the syrup. I've been here a few times. Just ok until today. I walked into the restaurant at 11:55. No one at the Counter. Some employees saw me, no "We'll be with you soon!" No "Hello, one moment please". It was worse, I was ignored. I stood there five minutes, then left. Very poor service. Note to Owner: Customers are your bread and butter. They pay the wages for the employees, and pay for your home. If I want to be ignored I can choose a better facility to have it happen. Yes, I have been there a few times in the last few weeks as I 'm in the area, but I won't give you another chance. Tip to others: I went to Burger King on Ramon on my way home. Fast, prompt attention. I am happy I made that decision. Maybe you should think where to spend your money too. Carls' Jr on Gerald Ford isn't the place. read more

Service was below average. When I walked up to order, nobody there. Finally I go to place my order and want to use points I have saved on the app. There is no cell service or wifi available. So I was not able to use them. Please have wifi, that's becoming the standard at most places. As for the food it was ok. My fresh baked biscuit was a little burnt and dry. The 2 sausage and egg biscuits is a pretty good deal for $3. Just wish I could of got my free coffee to go along with it. Overall it was clean inside, but as I left I did not see a single person behind the counter, cooking or at the drive through. My order came up quick so I was happy, that's why 3 stars. Otherwise it would of been 2. Get the customer service in order and provide wifi and your business will have more happy customers coming back. read more

Food is good but service is poor. I used the drive thru and even though no-one was behind me , I was asked to move to the parking. When I asked why, since no one was behind me, i was told it would mess up their timer because it would take time. (I ordered chicken strips and a Famous Star combo.) I received no napkins, no dip for the strips, and I ordered the hamburger with no onions, and still got onions. The attendant was rude and I could hear her complaining thru the window, to someone inside, about the guy who wouldn't wait in the parking area. read more

that $20 hour for fast food workers certainly hasn't helped this location. Wait time for drive thru unacceptable. One car in front of me and over 6 minutes in a drive thru..the guy was given one small bag, not like he had a huge order. then the girl I have makes me wait another minute then tosses the bag at me that had been sitting on the counter I could see. not a hello, how are you, thank you, just puts out her hand and tells me the amount which I give her. again, not one word. I don't think I've ever written a negative review until now. I have never eaten at Carl's Jr. Now I know why. They advertise this new double burger with A1 sauce and that appealed to me. Got my burger. Starting with the bun. Stale and hard as a rock. Patties. Over cooked and burnt to a crisp. I swear there was absolutely NO A1 steakhouse sauce on the burger and I got three of them! The most disgusting burger I have ever had! Never again. Trust me you will fill the same if you buy one. I am even sorry to Carl's Jr. To write this because they are after all a business. Seriously every time I go to this Carls Jr and the other Carls Jr in Palm Desert, there is a problem EVERY TIME. I go to this place to save time. Why would I eat fast food to waste time? The point is because we are busy and need to save time on cooking, that is why there is fast food. Stop wasting my time getting my orders wrong...EVERY TIME. Of course this restaurant is unclaimed. What happened to this place? I ordered ONION RINGS. Clear as day, simple, small order. My onion rings weren't in the bag. They aren't on the receipt either. I don't care that I wasn't charged....I ordered them, it was acknowledged. The screen is always "broken" or not displaying properly.
