This place was very clean

I don't normally write reviews for fast-food places--especially McDonald's--but this location absolutely deserves it. The McDonald's at **34101 Monterey Ave. in Rancho Mirage** is truly something special. The moment you walk in, it feels warm, inviting, and full of life. So many McDonald's today feel modern but cold and sterile--this one is the complete opposite. It's vibrant, colorful, and welcoming. From the bright, cheerful mural on the wall to the colorful lighting, it honestly feels like the McDonald's of yesterday--in the best possible way. What really sets this location apart is the people. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with genuine "hello," "welcome," and "good morning" from the staff. They were friendly, upbeat, and eager to help. **Jack, Adriana, and Christian were absolutely top-notch.** Jack went above and beyond--offering to get us anything we needed, delivering our meal to our table, and even asking if he could grab our sodas for us. He was also constantly cleaning and keeping the dining area spotless. Everything looked fantastic. Adriana greeted everyone with a warm smile and a truly welcoming presence. And then there's **Christian**, who completely blew me away. I watched him go from table to table checking on guests, asking if they were okay or needed anything. When he took orders out to cars and curbside, he carried a tray with extra sauces, napkins, and items *just in case* people needed them. That level of thoughtfulness and attention is incredibly rare--especially in fast food. Here's the moment that really sealed it for me: it was **10:33 a.m.**, and the menu had just switched to lunch. An older couple came in hoping to order breakfast. Most McDonald's wouldn't even hesitate to say no. Instead, Jack said, *"Let me go check."* He went to the back, confirmed they still had breakfast items available, and they happily made it for them anyway. This place feels different. It feels cared for. It feels human. Other McDonald's locations should absolutely observe how this team operates--this is the standard. I am unbelievably impressed. The service here truly blew me away, and I'm so glad we chose to eat inside. It reminded me of what McDonald's used to be, when people genuinely wanted to help. Highly, highly recommended.

Order time and current time and still waiting for my order.

Ordered at 9:06am and it's 9:30am and still asking about my order. Never again at this location I'll stick with the one on Jefferson never had this problem. If I could I would give 0 stars.

Was supposed to have Mayo, add lettuce no pickles and no onions. Complete opposite

Not the McDonald's I remember years ago. I find ground bone in the burgers. Plus, food is too commercial and don't satisfy my hunger.

That worker Chanz is a great worker! He was so helpful towards me and he is what the McDonald's brand is all about and he was so kind.

This place should not be open 24 hours when at 8:35 they only had 1 employee working. Everything came out cold

The slowest McDonald's I've been to in a long time. Nothing worse than being stuck in a drive through for 20 minutes after you order.

Horrible Service. Never gets orders right. And employees never know what's going on. Drive thru screen doesn't work so can't confirm order

Are Burgers and Martinis a thing? Well friends and foodies.... Yes they are!…read more One of the best dirrrrty martinis I have had paired PERFECTLY with the double-smash burger (with cheese). Crinkle-cut fries did not miss. Definitely worth the drive - but isn't PS always worth the drive? I can't say enough nice things.... but what I can say definitely go if you love martinis, & you love burgers you will love love love this place. If you don't like martinis, there's a full bar so get what you like.

I took my daughter to grab a quick meal, before scheduled big dinner later that evening…read more We both ordered hamburger, the food server recommended (Burger King style, he said). My daughter ordered fries as well. Food came in less than 4 minutes-red flag. Burgers were zoomed-in sliders. The fries came in a thin wooden bowl, less than 4 inches in diameter. We split the fries in half, I got 10 pieces and my daughter got 11, no questions. When the bill came, fries were $7.75, and the zoomed-in sliders were $11. Now: 1) food took less than 4 minutes from making it to the table.? 2) how could Smart & Final frozen fries cost that much.? The food server was amazing, personable, and very pleasant. We never saw him after ordering. I write this review with no ill intent, I am trying to give the owner a constructive critique. Do with it what you will, but a 4-lb frozen bag of fries doesn't cost $7.75 Economy is bad, overhead is high, and affordability is dying. We all know that you're not in this business to give food away, but reheating sliders and frozen Smart & Final fries is screaming foul and loud.

Wow! After several "fancy" dinners, we were just looking for a burger spot. Found it!…read moreWe were seated immediately upon arriving and our waiter, Joshua, who was extremely attentive all night, came over to greet us and get our drink order. We started out with the Drunken Tots. Wonderful! For dinner, I ordered the Turkey burger, and my husband and grandson each ordered the Bistro Burger. The burgers were loaded with all kinds of yummy toppings and we all enjoyed each bite. Meals are served with fries and a pickle. Perfect! Although we were stuffed, we split the Chocolate Chip Bread Pudding for dessert. It was topped with a salted caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream. So good! If you're just looking for a casual burger/sandwich spot, look no further!

On the drive to California, I usually like to stop and try different local spots along the way…read more This time I was craving a burger and came across this place. The food was good overall and definitely satisfied the burger craving. The experience, however, was a little mixed. The service felt a bit awkward at times, and a few interactions with the staff just rubbed me the wrong way. Nothing major, just an odd vibe. The location itself could have been a little cleaner and more polished. I also noticed the Guy Fieri feature on the wall--which is cool--but at the end of the day, the food and experience still have to speak for themselves. Overall, the burger was good, but the service and atmosphere left some room for improvement.

After my last experience here, I honestly didn't expect to be writing a new review like this -- but…read morewe have to give credit where credit is due. The team at Cowboy Cantina reached out and invited us back, which we truly were shocked & greatly appreciated it. We decided to give it another shot, and I'm really glad we did because this time around was a completely different experience. From the moment we walked in, the service and atmosphere felt totally turned around. We were greeted warmly, checked on regularly, and actually felt like valued guests. This is the kind of effort that shows a restaurant really cares about improving and making things right! Our server, Isreal, was absolutely amazing. He was attentive without hovering, he was friendly, funny, and genuinely seemed to care about our experience. Drinks were refilled quickly, everything came out in great timing, and he made sure we had everything we needed the whole night. It honestly felt like the level of service you hope for when you go out to eat. The food itself was great and came out fresh and flavorful. You could tell there was real attention being paid this time, and it made a big difference in how enjoyable the meal was. One of the highlights of the night was the tableside dessert prepared by Jared. Not only was it delicious, but it was also entertaining to watch him put it together right there at the table. It added a fun, memorable touch to the meal and was the perfect way to end the night. This experience showed exactly how restaurants should handle things with their customers. Instead of ignoring feedback, they took it seriously, made the effort to improve, and invited us back to make it right. That kind of accountability and dedication to customer satisfaction goes a long way! We left genuinely impressed and happy we gave it another chance. If this visit is any indication of the direction they're heading, Cowboy Cantina is absolutely on the right track.

We came to Cowboy Cantina tonight to celebrate my birthday... my mom treating me to a nicer dinner…read morethan what she'd normally afford for dinner, which made the experience feel extra disappointing knowing this was a more costly meal in her eyes. We ordered directly from the printed menu. I chose the brisket, which clearly states it comes with two sides, planning on baked beans and a baked potato. My mom ordered the baby back ribs with mac & cheese. When we placed the order, our server apologized and told us they had changed the menu, but not what's actually printed. Apparently, you no longer get to choose sides... everything now automatically comes with mashed potatoes and "mixed veggies," with no option to swap or upgrade. That was confusing, especially since the sides we wanted were available and could be ordered separately for an extra charge. Even if you add on a baked potato, you still get mashed potatoes and veggies no matter what. It just felt unnecessarily rigid and poorly communicated. On top of that, we were served Diet Cokes by another server, and on the very first sip we both immediately knew it was regular Coke. When we mentioned it, our server said he "didn't think so" but would check. It was a small thing, but frustrating--especially right after being told we couldn't order what was clearly listed on the menu. Eventually, after asking again, we were brought a can of Diet Coke, which solved it, but the hesitation felt odd. 2 cans for $7.90? Not even enough ice to stay melted. Was all just annoying. When the food arrived, it looked fine. The brisket itself was good, but it wasn't the meal I wanted or ordered. Plus EXTREMELY fatty. One piece was more fat than meat. I expect some on brisket but not The Who fat cap as a piece to be served. Also, the "mixed veggies" weren't what was described (green beans and carrots), but instead squash and zucchini. Overall, nothing was terrible (maybe the mandatory squash), but the combination of an inaccurate menu, inflexible substitutions, and small service issues made the night disappointing. I don't think I'll be back, which is a shame, because this was meant to be a special birthday dinner and just didn't live up to the moment. Had my siblings been with I'm sure they would've stormed out yelling at so they are lucky they got the nice ones in the family... but, my mom deserves a refund.
